What a life altering experience. In the moment getting there I couldn't really see the impact this place would have. From the phone call to AAC the person on the phone making sure all my drugs were disposed of. To getting me to the treatment facility. Once I got there they made sure I was medically safe before I even came to myself after a hard detox. From intake to detox I did not know I had went through with the decision to get clean. I came to medically a day before Residental I was doubting this. The people cared so much that I went through with it anyways. Best decision I ever made. Everyone at Recovery First worked on me physically, mentally and spiritually and never gave up. After my time was up I was a completely different version of myself. The people I will forever be grateful 🙏 for. Adrian, Canisia, Melina ,Marie,Linda,Hubert, Fumi,and Carol. These people were angels and each a part of putting the pieces of me back together. I'm a proud Recovery First Alumni I will always show up to speak and give back to the place that gave me my life back thank Recovery First your not just a rehab you are my family. Four years ago, I walked through the doors of Recovery First needing someone to help save my life. Not a vacation, not a luxury retreat, and certainly not a five-star resort. I needed treatment, and I needed every bit of those 180 days. First, I'd like to thank the ENTIRE staff for putting up with my entitled ass. I was A LOT. I had opinions, expectations, complaints, and probably suggestions nobody asked for. Looking back, I'm sure a few of you questioned your career choices. Yet you continued showing up for me, even when I made it difficult. Let's address the elephant in the room. Residential was essentially an old Florida motel converted into a treatment facility. Was it glamorous? Absolutely not. Was everything spotless? Also no. But it's Florida, we're addicts learning how to take care of ourselves again, and not everyone has mastered housekeeping. Thankfully, I had wonderful roommates. The accommodations weren't anything to write home about, but the relationships built there absolutely were. I was also fortunate to have Dr. Perez, a medical director who genuinely cared about residents and even facilitated PHP/IOP groups. I know leadership has changed several times since then, but compassionate, involved medical leadership makes a difference. There is also a BIG difference between corporate decisions and the people doing the actual work. You can question ownership, business practices, and facility decisions without discrediting the frontline employees who show up every day to help save lives. They deserve recognition, not criticism for circumstances outside their control. And there is room for improvement. Consolidating everything onto one campus isn't necessarily the answer. A holistic approach matters. Nutrition matters. People recovering from years of substance use need food that nourishes and rebuilds their bodies, not simply fills their stomachs. Recovery deserves attention to the whole person. But none of that takes away from the tremendous good happening within those walls. Four years later, I maintain relationships built at Recovery First and regularly return to share my recovery journey with current residents. There's something beautiful about returning to a place where you once needed saving and getting to offer someone else hope. We live in a world where people are quicker to tear something down than build it up. Honest criticism has its place, but so does gratitude. A HUGE shout-out to Melina, Linda, Siggy, Nate, Simone, Renee, Brittany, Lloyd, Greg, Hailey, Andrea, Adriene, Kimmie, Venus, Momma, Dr. Perez, and an especially BIG one to FUMI! I know I've forgotten names, but please know you haven't been forgotten in my heart. I didn't appreciate you nearly enough when I was there. I didn't recognize the patience, compassion, boundaries, difficult conversations, and countless little acts of kindness that helped me find my footing. Today, I do. I'm grateful for all 180 days, including the uncomfortable ones. Most importantly, I'm grateful for every last individual who carried me until I could walk on my own. **Four years later, I'm still walking. And now I get to reach back and help someone else.** Thank you, Recovery First. Especially the people behind the work. You deserve far more credit than you receive.

Best treatment program I've ever been to. I have not been to a mall but I've been to a lot. I finally found a place that addresses root causes such as trauma. Informative classes, great facilitators, case management that knows what they're doing, top notch therapists, excellent housing, with all these amenities following you at each level of care. This program definitely has a different approach I would recommend it to anybody that is ready tackle the real issues behind their substance use.

Recovery Unplugged Saved my life! All the way from their BHT’s, the therapists all the way to their Alumni Coordinators. I graduated in 2023 and when I had to go back Tonya (alumni coordinator) was the first person I called and she was my support all the way through. They make me feel like family. We are forever grateful do Dr Spaedy, Dr Robert, TD, Tara and the whole Lifeskills residential family for helping our loved one who came in very bad shape get the medical and psych help needed with dignity and physical safety with very kind staff .

Having experienced both the Fort Lauderdale and Deerfield facilities, I appreciate the differences between the two residential campuses. Fort Lauderdale provided the necessary support when my acuity was at its highest, but Deerfield has given me the independence and responsibility I needed so I can start preparing for life outside of treatment. My therapist, Dr. Despina, has a huge heart filled with love and has not only taught me skills, but she holds me accountable and challenges me to use them. She has helped me build a life worth living. Dr. Hume, my family therapist, is really good. She has helped me work on my boundaries and have a healthy relationship with my family. Dani, the Alumni Relations Manager, has been incredible. The love, selflessness and the genuine care and compassion she shows us means a lot. She goes above and beyond when running groups, she's always prepared, and it's clear she wants the best for us and wants us to have a life worth living. She goes out of her way to help us feel special, through birthday cards (and cakes) and remembering small things about us. She really cares and this goes such a long way. I am very thankful for the staff and the care at the Deerfield campus during my stabilization stay!

LifeSkills was there for our family during a difficult time. The Deerfield Beach location provided excellent care, and we were especially grateful for Tomas and Gina’s compassion and support. Dani has been truly incredible. The alumni program and ongoing support groups she leads are among the most valuable parts of LifeSkills. Her dedication does not end when treatment does. She continues to create a genuine sense of connection, community, and support for both alumni and their families. We are deeply grateful to her and the entire team.

Don’t wait, you owe yourself recovery! Spending 60 days there was the best decision of my life, I stayed an extra 30 days on my own because I was getting so much out of the program. Every staff member there is absolutely amazing and you will never regret going there and starting the best chapter of your life!!!

The experience was great! From the techs, nurses, and all the staff was just very professional. Meeting Brian and him helping with everything made it all comfortable and at ease. Learned so much I didn't know. I recommend anyone to come and get the help that is needed. You will come out of it on top and better than entering.

I cannot rave enough about FHE. From start to finish it's been an amazing experience. The staff, especially Mr. Brian aka Boston Brian are incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, always standing by to lend a hand on tough days. The group facilitators held sessions that were literally life changing. The kitchen staff is phenomenal and always puts out the most incredible foods. The techs go above and beyond to look out for you and it feels so much like a family environment. I've been to other facilities where at times I felt unsafe, FHE handles business and puts it's clients/patients needs and Saftey 1st. My experience at FHE changed the entire course of my future. I came into FHE not knowing what to expect, I am incredibly grateful to have had them by my side, walking me through some of the most difficult days of my life. If you are even considering treatment, look no further. FHE will change your life for the better, you'll leave feeling like a new person and having made the most wonderful and warm connections with people who genuinely understand what you are going through. 5 stars all the way!!

Summer House is the most caring and passionate place I have ever been. It helps to have a cozy feel home as when having to go though detox. I wish everyone needing services for detox can experience the 5 start treatment at 7 received, !!

This place has been amazing! Staff has been wonderful, especially DAPHNE and KATTY. They helped me a lot and got me through though moments. The food is great as well as the nursing. I would highly recommend this detox if you want to detox comfortably.

My experience was nothing short of incredible. Literally the entire staff was phenomenal but a few staff members really went out of there way to make sure I felt comfortable in a time where I felt like giving up.. Daphne, Ronnie, Jenn, and Tyler sat and talked to me throughout the night until i decided to give this thing a shot. They legit just related to me and joked around and motivated me to keep going. My name is Vanessa. I'm using my friend's phone on the way to 1st Step. The only reason it's a 4 and not a 5 is because I'm just starting. However Tom helped me with my admission and he was fantastic! I had such anxiety about making this decision to go. He was so empathetic. He explained the whole process. He calmed me town multiple times. He is the main reason I'm about to check-in. I hope everything is as great as him.

Agape Treatment Facility has been a blessing to our family. They helped my son get his life back on track, regain his sense of purpose, and begin his path in recovery.. AGAPE was the best treatment I could have ever experienced! From long years of struggle, I was not only given help but the ability to help others from the education I gained in the past. Being able to choose between individual and group sessions let me adjust my week. Some days I needed one-on-one, other days the group dynamic helped more.

What a wonderful place to rediscover myself and get clean. Shout out to gedale fenster , Surrender is a great book! And the groups!! wow, My experience was great cuz I made it about me. I have realized I didn't know what I was doing and that's ok. You live and you learn. I learned good things and didn't focus so much on my bad assumptions.The undermining of a facility's capability to operate is unnecessary. We are suppose to build each other up not tear each other down. Soo thank you all for showing me a new way of life.

The facility along with the majority of the staff are great at accommodating any needs of the clients in their care. Meetings, groups and outings allow for ample chances to learn skills and tools to prepare for returning to a sober life outside of here. Just gotta keep one's mind and ears open to find what works for each individual.

My stay here was a little longer than expected but it was what was needed and the techs and other staff made it great as well as the patients. Sam was great he always had my best interests in mind

I came to simple path, not knowing which direction my life was going. This program, the men and women who work there have helped me not only grow into the person I want to become but have motivated and supported me through it. This recovery center feels more like a family than a business and I love that. If anyone could have the opportunity to start their recovery journey here I highly suggest it.

This program builds us into a family. We, the clients and the staff support each other. I grew in my spirit, mind and heart during my 7 weeks here. The most caring staff, they help you as much as you could ever ask for.

I can honestly say Transitions is the best recovery center I’ve ever been to. They are definitely not like other rehabs and I’ve been to many different places. What sets them different: there’s no judgement, you actually see your therapist, a psychiatrist, case management, and medical doctor 1-2 times a week, the groups are very beneficial and THEY TRULY CARE!! That’s by far the biggest thing. Staff all go out there way to care for us whether big or small. Housing is beautiful spacious apartments and weekends we do deep cleaning. Everyday there’s an outside meeting and H&I on property everyday but Sunday. Sundays we do outings as a community like the beach, top golf, or bowling. It’s a great way for us to all have fun at the end of the week. Shout out to the staff: Lori-Ann, Austin, Will, Maxime, Michael, Winnie, Summer, Tay Tay, Manny, Art, Dr. K, Jeff, Dr. Seely, Jennifer, and Shelly. Yall make this program worth being apart of. I would HIGHLY recommend joining this fellowship! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The staff at Transitions Recovery become your family. They care about your success. They help you find ways to believe in yourself when others said no to you. I came here as a Tina addict with depression, anxiety, and PTSD. As I finish my time at Transitions, I’m leaving with a group of friends, a home group, a sponsor, and a real job. I feel like a real person for the first time in 9 years. I feel like I matter in this world. Thank you Transitions family.
