Been going to Family Guidance for awhile now and I absolutely recommend this methadone clinic to anyone struggling with opiate addiction. The staff are mostly friendly and it's easy to get into the clinic within a day or two. Once you get to the correct methadone dose the dope sickness is mostly gone and then you can slowly get back to a normal life. I've had a few counselors since going here and all were nice and professional but my current one Gary is Awesome. He seems to really care and is always helpful. I would most likely be dead if I didn't sign up at Family Guidance. If you're looking for a way to stop using dope give this clinic a try.

I've been going to Family Guidance for the last 16 months. August 2nd I got off the train from St. Louis and started down the road for recovery. I've been using for the last 30 years. With the help of my counselor at Family Guidance I have been able to abstain from drug use and have turned a corner allowing me to say farewell to everyone at family guidance.

Such a transformative experience! Naturally, the reviews you read for addiction treatment centers are going to skew negative but don't let that deter you if you believe you need help. Not only did I have an amazing experience with staff, I've built a strong foundation of community among my peers who were also seeking treatment. While encouraged by their use of an evidenced-based model, the incorporation of the 12-steps had me skeptical at first but now I'm fully committed. If you feel the 12 steps aren't for you, they also provide information about alternatives such as SMART Recovery and Recovery Dharma. My one complaint would be that I had chosen to participate in the in-person IOP during intake, but was somehow placed into the virtual IOP. Once it was recognized it was a quick fix and it didn't impact my start date or anything like that.

My messages were courteous. My issue was never addressed and I have been repeatedly ignored. I’m disappointed that the person who handles issues is not addressing my recent 2 issues. With the exception of my last two concerns I have been pleased with my care, which is why my recent experiences have been disappointing. Customer care extends beyond the facility. If i could give 1000 stars i would! I couldn't recommend symetria enough. Everyone there is absolutely AMAZING! From the front staff (esp Ms Shuranda who keeps everything running smoothly), to the wonderful counselors, the medical directors (shout out to Ms Cynthia), my knowledgeable counselor Ms Beth, the beautiful nurses aka angels in scrubs (Kat, Gizelle and Mel).. you are surrounded by nothing but complete love, support and understanding. There is never a moment you feel judged or unsupported. Everyone has been there for me in more ways than I can count and if it wasn't for the staff I don't think I would be where I am today. You aren't treated like a number or just another patient. You are treated like FAMILY! Choosing symetria to be the first place I went to help be recover was the best decision I ever made and I'm forever grateful for everyone there who has been there for me since day one. Saved my husband s life more than once. I can t say enough about the palliative care team at the cancer center. Absolutely wonderful at caring for the patient and family. At times issues with scheduling, but a little persistence and advocacy can cut through the bureaucratic red tape.

I love this lil gem that's been a Godsend in my life. I never knew this Dr's ofc was inside as I drove many times past. It's an AWESOME place for those who suffer from depression or any mental illness. I love it bcuz it's one stop shop w/psychiatry Dr's & therapists together in a small, intimate, private setting. The Dr's are phenomenal & the therapists are excellent. I've been suffering w/depression for awhile now going from Dr. to Dr. on the same meds that weren't helping, looking for someone long term to help me. I've been here nearly 5 weeks & feel a million times better than when I orginally walked in. The medication (if needed) & therapy together work wonders. I'm so relieved to have found this place & finally am seeing a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

There they treated my 3 children due to different circumstances and they were all very kind and thank God everything was done very quickly, thank you all for your help. It's a shame they closed the mental health thing, I had one of my children there and everything was excellent treatment

I was I went to PHP from the Residential and than I stayed for the IOP and I can tell it was awesome the therapist there are always willing to talk even if they are not your therapist I miss this place and Maria is the director but she was the best and she knows what she is doing and I felt I had so much support there and they was awesome.

My PHP experience has been everything and more than I could ask for. The groups are educational and meet all of my needs. Erin, my therapist understands exactly how I feel and meets me where I am. She pushes me to my limits and had made me a better person all around. I have been doing better as a whole and that is due to the support of this amazing step down program.

Solleys Place is an excellent establishment to work with while on your sober journey. Their staff and management are always friendly, fair and willing to work with you. The doctor is also an amazing person, Vietnam veteran and has compassion where a lot of doctors do not. I would highly recommend using them for your continued IOP care. Just remember you have to put in the work to make it work, being sober is a process but it is possible.
