This place was all about helping others get to the starting point in your life to see there is life out there without drugs if you want it that bad you can have it . Even though I left there and I relapsed 4 years ago that was my choice that I made because I wasn't ready then . Now I'm thriving ,sober ,have my kids back in my life ,and a new baby girl . This place made a big impact on my life that's why I'm writing this review 4 years later after I left. Some of the staffs inspiring stories and words is what got me to where I am today and I'm very thankful for that. Recovery will only work if u let it and it's hard work but yout have to put in the work to get in life you want to go . Don't give up . I would be lieing if I said recovery is easy but one day u will wake up and realize it gets easier u just got to.want it and put 100% in to get it

This is a very nice VA! If you are a Veteran and not enrolled in the VA You should go to St Charles VA Clinic! Everyone is very nice and I have been to a lot of different Doctors and levels.

Just had an annual visit. Melissa (with the boots) was awesome. Friendly, attentive, and professional. My tech was also great! Upbeat and professional and his blood draw was perfect. Everyone there was good to deal with. Thank you!!

This place is amazing period. I honestly don't believe any of the negative reviews, those are from people that do not have the ability to be pleased.The facilities are for helping people in need of the resources they supply and the resources are excellent. The staff is more than amazing every time I walk through the door!! I'd love to give them 10 stars!

This location has come along way compared to the way it was before. I’ve been coming here since 2022 and have had better progress and experience than I’ve had with any other facility in my part of Illinois/St. Louis. Although the psychiatric program is horrible and the therapy program would be excellent if you weren’t spending more time getting to know a new therapist every 6 months instead of working on your issues. (so when another job position opens up and pays more these therapist up and leave). For the most part I don’t have anything bad to say about this place my doctor is Kevin Garner and he’s the best primary care Provider that I’ve ever had. He cares and if he can help me with anything he does are points me into the direction I’m supposed to go. I recommend this place for anything from drug addiction to the flu are just getting your meds filled. Just go find a therapist or a psychiatrist somewhere else!!!

After traveling 2 hrs away for a wrestling tournament, my son ended up in the ER here for a head injury/suturs. Staff were relaxed, attentive and made the process smooth and quick. Best care ever in an Emergency Room.

This hospital is truly exceptional. I had never been admitted to a hospital before, so I came in terrified and unsure of what to expect. From the moment I arrived, every part of the experience was made as comfortable as possible. While no one enjoys being in the hospital, I felt genuinely cared for by every nurse, doctor, PA, psychiatrist, and even the food staff. I arrived feeling like a complete mess and left feeling stable for the first time in a month. The food was great, too! If I ever have another emergency, this is absolutely where I’ll return. I just want all of you to know how deeply appreciated you are. Your work isn’t easy, but you truly heal and help people every day. Special shoutout to Nurses Noura, Bill, Chloe, Z, Erin, Eboni, Ciarra, and Chelsea. Also shoutout to Dr Burihan, Dr Borreggine, and the food staff Brittany and Christina. Thank you so much!

Nice for what they do for people was not to happy of the activity that was outside the establishment while me and my daughter waited for assistance. They definitely where life savers tho they help me with my electricity bill cause they where turn back on before I reached my car to leave from there assistance.

I used to be depressed and suicidal, but now I'm only a little depressed and not suicidal at all. Tysm ilysm. And I hope you still have that picture of you. I'm crying rn if you actually respond. 🥰🥰🥰 I really want to go back even though I'm all better. If you have any suicidal thoughts go see a counselor, or go to mercy/ hospital but only if you don't feel safe at home. Don't make suicide into a joke. It's a serious thing. Physicians and Nurse Practitioners were very professional and thorough.

After waiting 2 months to see the doctor, I show up to find out that someone moved my appointment back a day without my permission. This comes after talking to the incredibly rude dental receptionist. This lady could not be bothered to help people coming in and was sitting there texting on her phone. The person that ended up helping me was one of the check out receptionists.

Paije Douglas is absolutely AMAZING!!! I’ve never met anyone who is so devoted to helping people get clean! If you are truly looking to change your life and stop abusing opiates, I highly recommend coming to St Louis Metro Treatment Center and joining the IOP program that she is in charge of. She goes out of her way to get people set up with medical detox and then sober living and/or whatever other arrangements you need in order to be in a safe place so you can start healing! We have a lot of fun in her groups while still learning a lot about our addiction. Thank you Paije, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for helping me get my life right and supporting my recovery! I couldn’t have done it without you!!!

Wait times get a little lengthy but life-saving medication and great counselors and nurses along with an excellent new Director thank you guys for your selfless service to others.

Just wanted to come on here and leave an update since my last review. I only have one thing to say… BRING BACK Becky!!! The only reason I’m giving this place a five star rating is because of Nancy, Becky! These nurses are amazing and go above and beyond. They are so overworked and at times very unappreciated by some of the clients. High five to Mark and Jeff as well these two councilors are handling very heavy caseloads but still manage to show that they love their job and want what’s best for their clients. They also know how to handle the hot headed ones 😂🙋🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ the reasons I could have given it a one star: Their drug lab sucks!! 50 percent of the time their results are wrong. You could be 100 percent clean and the test could come back positive. They know the lab sucks but says there is nothing they can do about it… when they send it back to be retested then most of the time the true results will come back. But now they have this new rule where you have to pay 35 dollars for your test to be retested!! It’s a money making scam!! They tell you the lab sucks and most of the time will get your results wrong but now wanna charge you 35 to have it sent back!??!? They know they’ll make hella money! What pisses me off is for the one such as myself who are on probation, this could potentially get me in huge trouble! Thank god I get hair follicles from the state! For the love of God New Seasons… GET A NEW LAB!!

The staff was amazing. The groups were amazing. The snacks thet had was such a variety. christie the 2nd shift nurse was wondering! I found it helped me so much. No one there was judge.

JUST DO IT!! This facility was absolutely wonderful. Everything was nice and clean. Well maintained and all the amenities, included. It was never a problem to use the laundry room. Wash whatever needed to be washed you could take a shower whenever you felt necessary. Food and snacks galore. By the way, the food was pretty good, but they had movies games. You go to the gym every morning. Just everything you need to get in practice of living a healthy life And the staff is just amazing. If you have an open mind an open heart and you are ready and willing to change your life. These are the people that will help you do it it is not just a job to them them. They have lived it or lived with it in one fashion or another and they understand. they have compassion and empathy and they really want to see you succeed. The resources they have access to are amazing They will help you find a safe place to go if necessary after your treatment. there's just so much they will help you with but let me make it clear they will help you. They will not do it for you. You will have to do the leg work but they will help you. If it's out there they will help you or find someone who will help you get what you need. A lot of them spend their own time and money to make the experience More enjoyable and to take the edge off the seriousness sometimes. Far above and beyond what they have to do for sure. Just exceptional people I can say I did not have one bad experience. Some days I loved it. Some days I didn't want to be there but everyday I learned something whether I realized or not and sometimes it took a while to accept the truth but they were always there to talk to help to cheer you up. I laughed more than I have in years when you're in a room with people who have all been there, done that and you start telling stories. You just can't help but laugh sometimes the stupid things we do as addicts but you realize you're not alone and the past is the past tomorrow is a new day and it'll all be okay just take it one day at a time . There are so many people who made a difference in my life that I will never forget I can't possibly mention everyone by name but I would like to say thank you to all of you at Chestnut I would not be sitting here today with 3 months sober without you! I hope this helps someone Make the decision to better their self BE WELL AND GOD BLESS!

In a world of so much hardship and despair these people help change so many lives for the better, including my own. I am so grateful for Chestnut.

I love my social worker Shalonda Card. You only get out what you put in when it comes to your case management. I was housing insecure for a period of time and couch surfing and she was able to hook me up with resources until I was able to mediate my living situation. I do know other unhoused people have issues with other social workers, while that needs to be fixed, my social worker is proactive and attentive to my needs as a patient. I do wish that they had more PSR groups in the evening because College conflicts with that. They don't have evaluations at thus office, I know Social Workers can hook you up with people within the network who can but that's my only gripe. Do keep in mind if you use pot or anything they can't prescribe controlled substances, luckily my General Practitioner knows I've been on my ADHD medicine for years and is willing to prescribe it. I have treatment resistant depression and I know that there's a controlled substance which is a psychiatric that helps treat depression and C-PTSD that I am interested in, and while they can't prescribe that for me specifically Shalonda ADAPT and CHN will help you coordinate care to ensure you have a psychiatrist who can offer you psychiatric treatment even if its not through the psychiatrists at ADAPT.

They do what they can. It's not easy to care for people every day.

The gateway foundation is filled with amazing and caring people some of them are even recovering addicts themselves. I can honestly say im 100000000% thankful for every single person at gateway from my counselor down to the Wednesday night speakers and every person counselor that holds every meeting i am truly 100000% thankful for you all.
