As someone who recently was discharged from the hospital, this is by far the best facility I’ve been to. I like the fact that you have to wear scrubs. So you don’t have to worry about having someone drop off clothes. The nurses and tech are super helpful and friendly. Their food is better than most hospital foods. They offer helpful groups which was one thing I liked. Because other facilities the groups are not reliable. These groups are almost DBT related. The doctors listen and won’t discharge you unless the doctor thinks you’re ready.

A Place That Truly Saved My Life I don’t say this lightly when I say that Boca Recovery Center in Huntington, Indiana, saved my life. I struggled with addiction to opiates and fentanyl for approximately 30 years. During that time, I lost at least 80 friends to addiction. I have been to at least 30 treatment facilities throughout my life, and I can honestly say that none of them even came close to comparing to Boca. From the moment I made the call for help, I felt like someone genuinely cared. They were ready to help immediately, including arranging my flight and transportation to the airport. That kind of urgency and compassion meant more to me than I can put into words. The staff at this facility goes above and beyond to make you comfortable, safe, and cared for. They do things you wouldn't necessarily expect—from providing great food, snacks, and drinks to doing your laundry and making sure everything is clean and comfortable. I was honestly shocked when I found out they even did our laundry. And for those who smoke and may not be able to afford cigarettes, they even try to help with that. Most importantly, the people are what make Boca different. I came in needing help and left with people I consider friends for life. I would estimate that I made at least 30 new friends through what we affectionately called the Boca crew. I enjoyed my stay so much that I would honestly go back just to visit the staff. The nurses—Michelle, Tiffany, Tami, Beth, and Maddie—were incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring. They treated me with dignity and never made me feel judged. The techs—Grosiala, Leann, Bri, Lista, Nate, Malaia, Sarah, Michael, Mike, Jason, Darius, Crystal, Lilly, Joe, and Andrew—were friendly, relatable, and always there when we needed them. The addiction counselors, especially Candace and Dave, were absolutely amazing. Thank you both for the incredible groups and the information you shared. I didn't just listen—I took what you taught me to heart and truly internalized it. Taylor, the Client Care Coordinator, is absolutely amazing. She knows what she's talking about, and her compassion and dedication really stood out to me. Olive in housekeeping deserves recognition as well. She goes above and beyond, and the laundry was always returned clean and folded beautifully. And Bill and Jeff, the chefs—your cooking was incredible! Thank you for putting so much love into the food and making me feel at home. If I forgot to mention someone, I sincerely apologize. Please know that I appreciate every single member of the Boca team. Each person played a part in my recovery, and I will forever be grateful. Since coming home, my desire to use has been almost nonexistent—something I honestly wasn't sure was possible after 30 years of addiction. Boca didn't just give me treatment. They gave me hope, compassion, friendships, and another chance at life. To the entire Boca crew: Thank you for saving my life. Thank you for believing in me when I needed it most. In Most states when you go to recovery you're treated like a prisoner they lock you into a recovery center and you can't go anywhere do anything not at Boca. Boca Recovery Center is totally different they treat you with respect. The staff: At Boca the staff understand what you're going through,they've been there . Most of them are recovering themselves . They get it! To the staff at Huntington Indiana. You Know Who You Are. Ya' all are great! Even if you have a disability the staff of Boca and Huntington Indiana will make sure that you are comfortable and capable of meeting your goal. If I had to pick four words to sum up the staff in Huntington Indiana it would be kind, professional, respectful, and compassionate. In summary if you have the compassion to want to get clean and stay sober Boca Huntington Indiana is one of my top recommendations. As long as you have the desire to get clean. First psychiatrist I seen was rude kind of just said I was doing drigs when I wasn't like my pee came back clean nothing in it tried saying I smoked marijuana I don't like marijuana I was addicted to fentanyl I wouldn't go smoke weed I would smoke fetty second off I'm giving a 4 star because the guy I see now is amazing and caring and actually talks to you and listens to you and helps people he's the best person I've ever seen it's sad that August will be his last month because he was truly amazing he helped my wife and me and we would do our appointments together he made our journey to sobriety really easy and really helped us get there.

My experience at the Huntington Bowen center has been great. The staff is helpful and always willing to accommodate me. My son and I both go here. I'd like to mention the wonderful caregivers who have bettered our lives. Firstly, Erin Hollowell is amazing with children. She's worked with my son and we've had family sessions that have resolved issues that seemed hopeless. She offers realistic advice and provides a plan that can help future issues. I appreciate how well she is able to articulate both side's perspectives and offer valuable feedback without undermining either of us. Fay Montague is a wonderful doctor who diligently worked to come up with a plan to help our family. It took months to see an improvement but she was persistent and showed our family so much compassion during one of the hardest times of our lives. I went from feeling endless frustration and wanting to give up to feeling hope for the first time in months and finally the results that we prayed for. Aaron Crump is an amazing therapist. He is so insightful and smart. He is able to reframe my situations in such a way that my perception shifts. Instead of offering pointless validation he challenges me by asking questions that lead me to a better understanding. It's so helpful when I'm feeling stuck in an unhealthy thought cycle and has improved my self esteem so much. I'm more reflective and have more self compassion. Don't let the other reviews persuade you. Our Bowen center is filled with providers who consistently do their best to improve the lives of their patients. This location is so much better than the ones in the surrounding community. Thank you for all you do.

I dont know why the rating is the way it is, I come here for mental health therapy and I think so far that my therapist is great and I am a very hard man to get along with because of my physical and mental health trauma in my past. My therapist, Brandy, is excellent and listens, and is also very real. I have been with Bowen for many years through Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and now Huntington. I currently live in Indianapolis and travel over two hours one way to come to therapy, this is how good Bowen is in my eyes.

About 5years ago I went here and didn't have the greatest experience..but today I had to visit the Albion office for an appointment for my daughter. Honestly, half these reviews are exaggerating OR are describing how things use to be yearsss ago at the clinic.. There are cameras, they have been in place for; a year or so maybe-giveORtake; So outside issues have pretty much subsided. Now, the people sitting in their cars while people "hold their spots" IS something a few certain individuals do, but certainly BHG have been and will be addressing those issues as well from their camera footage.!? And last but not least THEIR ARE 4 NURSES NOW 👏 YAAAYY Usually 4windows open! Barely a wait in the last 2 months at least.

Overall, this place really does a lot right. The staff works hard, things run smoothly and you can tell there are people here who genuinely care about what they’re doing. Huge shoutout to Michelle (aka the real MVP / PD) for keeping things together. It does not go unnoticed. That said…the parking lot is currently giving “extreme sports obstacle course.” The potholes are not subtle. You don’t just park here, you navigate it. If you hear a loud thud on your way in, just know it’s not construction, it’s your suspension filing a complaint. Fix the potholes and this place would be pretty close to perfect. Until then, consider it part of the full experience — just drive in like you value your tires.

For all the bad publicity you see in the news, you wouldn't be able to tell by visiting this location. I've been using them for 6.5 years. Urgent care is faster than local walk-in clinics OR the hospital, and the staff has always been caring and attentive. The VA is a great benefit for veterans.

⭐ 1/5 JOCELYN is the reason I will no longer be donating to YWCA North Central Indiana after approximately a YEAR of consistently donating BRAND-NEW clothing from my fashion business. I own a fashion business, and I regularly have brand-new clothing that I cannot use due to sizing, incorrect orders, overstock, etc. Instead of letting perfectly good clothing go to waste, I’ve been donating these items to YWCA North Central Indiana so women and girls who need them can benefit. These are not old, worn-out clothes—they are BRAND-NEW, quality fashion items. For about a year, I have been allowed to drop these donations off. My husband will literally carry the bags inside the building and leave them where instructed. Because I run a business, I cannot always accommodate extremely limited or specific donation drop-off times, and this has never been an issue before. Today, I spoke with JOCELYN and explained this. I told her I’ve been donating this way for approximately a year and that my husband could bring the bags directly inside. I was NOT asking anyone to stop what they were doing and sort through the clothing. All I needed was for someone to receive the bags and put them to the side until the appropriate person was available. JOCELYN told me that she thought it would be better for me to FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO DONATE MY CLOTHES. So that is exactly what I will do. And honestly, the unfortunate part is that JOCELYN is not the person who would have benefited from these clothes. The women and girls receiving them would have. I’m sure many of them would have appreciated having access to brand-new clothing. I completely understand having policies and limited staffing. What I do not understand is turning away someone who has consistently donated brand-new merchandise for approximately a year when I wasn’t even asking anyone to process or sort the donation immediately. After supporting this organization for a year, being told by JOCELYN to simply find somewhere else to donate was extremely disappointing. I will gladly take my future donations to an organization that actually wants them and appreciates consistent community support.

I have been going to Oaklawn now for about 7 years, when I first decided to start I was at my lowest of lows, the only time in my life I felt I was going to act on my suicidal thoughts. I had never been as depressed as I was in those few months and I have delt with depression almost my entire life. I really didn’t believe I could be helped, but I tried for my children’s sake as my oldest son had already lost his father to reckless decisions. Brandy saved my life, she has continuously encouraged me and never judged me even when most would have. She has not only been one of the best phycologists I have ever met, she has also been a good friend. She has helped to guide me in the right direction and been there through every up and every down I’ve had over this past 7 years, despite my many screw ups she has never made me feel as though I was just a mess, she really saved my life, I can not stress this enough. If you do the work on yourself and actually use the program and take the advice given, this place can and will help. You also have to be patient and understand you are not the only client being worked with.

Good place to get help but beware of the groups they force you to talk about issues and then the groups are supposed to be confidential no they are not.my medication doctor sent a referral over about individual therapy which was for a female but instead set me up with a male.my medication doctor stopped communicating and listening to me and chose to listen and communicate with my behavior staff who I see once a week.i like Dr. Soleai but I am the patient not the behavior staff.

This place feels like my second home in a recovery aspect! All of the staff are great and feel like family. They’ve helped me more than I can even put into words. It’s really a great place to re-discovery yourself and work on yourself in a safe supportive environment! Brooke the alumni coordinator goes above and beyond to make sure that meetings are easily accessible which is a vital part of recovery! Super excited to be apart of the alumni family again!! I highly recommend avenues the curriculum is amazing and most the staff are welcoming and nonjudgemental. The staff are helpful well mostly always few bad apples in a bunch:)

Staff was nice and supportive and knew how to help when times were tough. Program overall was informational, beneficial and made it worth the treatment. Away from home but still had the feeling of family and support as if at home not just from staff but other clients as well.
