I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to take a moment to share just how amazing my experience was with the dental team at the PG County Health Department. Honestly, I went in with modest expectations, thinking I’d get the typical, quick check-up and be on my way. But from the moment I walked through the doors, I was completely blown away. My experience was far beyond what I ever imagined — it was warm, professional, thorough, and genuinely uplifting.
The front desk staff greeted me with such kindness and made the check-in process smooth and welcoming. They were helpful, patient, and answered all of my questions without rushing me. It was clear they truly cared about each and every person walking through that door.
But what really stood out to me was the dental team — especially the doctors. The level of care, professionalism, and expertise they brought to the table was second to none. The dentist I saw took time to explain every step of the process to me, made sure I was comfortable, and answered every single one of my (many) questions with grace and patience. I never once felt rushed or like “just another patient.”
The assistants were equally phenomenal — gentle, attentive, and always checking in to make sure I was okay. The level of coordination among the team was impressive, and it made the whole process seamless from start to finish. It’s clear that they truly love what they do and care deeply about their patients’.
This team genuinely goes above and beyond. They didn’t just take care of my teeth — they made me feel respected, seen, and cared for as a whole person. That’s rare and incredibly appreciated.
To the doctors and staff at the PG County Health Department Dental Clinic: thank you for providing outstanding care and for treating me like family. You have truly set a new standard for what excellent dental service looks like, and I am so grateful for the experience.

This place saved my life. Plain and simple. I just left in late October 2025.
And just like any AA / NA meeting, rehab requires action and work. RCA might not be a Malibu Passages (which rehab isn’t suppose to be some fantasy, sleep and get massages all day land) but they helped me crack the code in how not to give up, bc I wanted to and I was tired.
But the experience I had, leaning into it and embracing it? Yeah, I got so much from this place. Family. Friends. Knowing I’m not alone. It’s huge.

And a massive shoutout to Pastor Ken. I could not have asked for a better therapist who just knew how to help me, I can’t explain it. The Center of Excellence is located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland and is a testimony of a beautiful place. I raised my hand for help and what I got in return was the most uplifting care from a team that is excelling in clinical research, therapy and knowledge. This was my first time in treatment. Honestly, it completely changed my life. The bonds that I ve made in this place, the sober network I ve built, getting my psych meds right, the entire staff and facilitators- have all been such an extraordinary experience for me. I never understood the difference between just being sober/clean versus actually working a program/recovery. RU has helped me to understand that recovery goes beyond clean time- and it s about changing who you are for the better and continuing to progress as a person overall. I will rate Chrysalis House based on when I was there and when it was being ran by different staff and Mrs Carisaa was there. Other than that I can not speak for the program after Mrs. Carissa left. When I was there it was tough but it is what i needed. I have never been to a program that actually cared and literally internally got to me dug up some buried issues and I worked on them. Mrs. MELVINA was my counselor, she was amazing. Most of the staff had went through addiction. Mrs Denise was amazzziiinnggg i never felt uncomfortable, leaving my son with them during the day. The whole staff at that time was amazing. Yes, it was very strict, but they did it in a loving way because they did not want us to die. I know countless women
That graduated the Chrysalis House and are still clean. I have ten fifteen, close lifelong friends that I had met at Chrysalis and that are still clean to this day. I have never went to a treatment that had this much success. Like I said, I cannot speak for the new staff, but it sounds like it is still a great program.While I was there and before I left, they were building on the new addition which was beautiful.It was finished before I left but was not open yet. A woman and children's program is needed and I hope that this one is ran as good as it was when I was there.I'm sure it is. I felt so safe with my children. I'll forever be grateful for Mrs. Carissa and all the staff.

I was someone who stayed here for so time almost a year. I know you can't please everyone but they did try to. Most of the residential staff was wonderful very attentive to the clients needs. The two that I felt that went beyond their job was Simone and Melissa I felt very safe and comfortable w them and they are some of the most compassionate, caring staff I have come across I truly believe they are at their job not only for a paycheck but to help. I drank everyday for 17 years following my return from service overseas. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive to my needs as well as the others I met in residential treatment. They definitely were able to reach the root of my alcohol addiction and help put forth a plan for my continued success. I am almost 3 months sober and truly haven't felt better in my life. This is a greatClinic. Very clean, neat and orderly. The staff is very hospitable and welcomes you with open arms. They’re easy to talk to and very friendly and make you feel like you’re talking to one of your closest friend(s) that you can share anything with. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone that has Teenagers that’s going through any kind of mental issues and need someone to talk to. out of all the rehabs i been to this the only one that worked. i’m cali sober, meaning i still smoke and drink, but i don’t do anything else anymore. the only “negative” is that the food sucked but even then we were able to have our parents bring us food. not to add i went in 2023 so i am more than positive they upgraded. all of their staff genuinely care about the patients coming in and out. if you’re considering sending your child to this facility, this is their best option, coming from an individual who spent her life in and out of hospitals and residentials. this is the best place you will ever find.

Very grateful for Sandstone. The intake process was smooth and easy during a scary and stressful time for our family. The staff were highly compassionate, communicative and skilled with both me (the mom) and their client (my daughter). While the journey itself was difficult, my daughter and I each in our own way felt supported the whole time. Her therapist, Kaelenn Keller, clicked with her right away and also provided valuable support to me. My daughter continued in from residential to IOP. Together these programs helped her immensely. I did not expect her to be so self aware so quickly. Although she was not given a choice to go, she was able to look back on the experience as favorable and necessary almost right away, which I think alone speaks volumes for the quality of care they provide. Forever grateful to the staff for helping my daughter.

Would HIGHLY recommend exploring treatment options with Kolmac if you’re ready to step into your recovery. ❤️🩹 I completed the 90(ish) day IOP program attending online group sessions three times a week for three hours in addition to individual medical appts/medication management and individual treatment plan planning. I had the incredible pleasure of working with Lisa S as my group counselor. She was professional, compassionate and understanding of the needs of her group members. She maintained a healthy and safe environment for us to all lean into the process at our own pace and found ways to relate to everyone regardless of situation. My medical/medication management was also all handled via telehealth. I felt heard when discussing my apprehension to some medications and was made to feel like the process to improve my health and the decisions being made around it were collaborative. Katelyn was my individual counselor and assisted me with developing my treatment plan. She is an absolute sweetheart and though early in her career was able to provide guidance and encouragement that felt beyond her years. I am actively transitioning to their continuing care program and look forward to seeing how far I can go with such a strong team behind me. 97 days!!!
