Our family had a wonderful experience at Sandstone. Our teen was making terrible choices and nothing we were doing as parents was working. Sandstone’s whole of person concept of care was everything our family needed. The program provided a personal therapist for our teen; along with twice a day group therapy sessions; pet therapy; nature walks; and fun group outings. They also provided us a family therapist and offered voluntary group therapy sessions for all the parents who currently had teens in the program, which was a great resource and helped my husband and I feel less alone. From the intake to the out processing, my teen reported feeling safe and well cared for and my husband and I shared that sentiment. We were a little nervous going in because of the online reviews, but if your family is struggling with a teen with addiction, we highly recommend this place. Our teen did say that the food was terrible, but I’d rather the food be terrible and the program be excellent than the other way around. Our teen just started college and said the program was a great way to reset and get back on track.

I will rate Chrysalis House based on when I was there and when it was being ran by different staff and Mrs Carisaa was there. Other than that I can not speak for the program after Mrs. Carissa left. When I was there it was tough but it is what i needed. I have never been to a program that actually cared and literally internally got to me dug up some buried issues and I worked on them. Mrs. MELVINA was my counselor, she was amazing. Most of the staff had went through addiction. Mrs Denise was amazzziiinnggg i never felt uncomfortable, leaving my son with them during the day. The whole staff at that time was amazing. Yes, it was very strict, but they did it in a loving way because they did not want us to die. I know countless women That graduated the Chrysalis House and are still clean. I have ten fifteen, close lifelong friends that I had met at Chrysalis and that are still clean to this day. I have never went to a treatment that had this much success. Like I said, I cannot speak for the new staff, but it sounds like it is still a great program.While I was there and before I left, they were building on the new addition which was beautiful.It was finished before I left but was not open yet. A woman and children's program is needed and I hope that this one is ran as good as it was when I was there.I'm sure it is. I felt so safe with my children. I'll forever be grateful for Mrs. Carissa and all the staff.

I was someone who stayed here for so time almost a year. I know you can't please everyone but they did try to. Most of the residential staff was wonderful very attentive to the clients needs. The two that I felt that went beyond their job was Simone and Melissa I felt very safe and comfortable w them and they are some of the most compassionate, caring staff I have come across I truly believe they are at their job not only for a paycheck but to help. Thank you to all the residential staff. The clinical team here is beyond amazing I am actually lost for words how much the team does. They are all very passionate about their job and they make u feel welcomed and safe . I honestly believe if you are willing to chose recovery Chrysalis House will and can help 💯

From the moment I got on the phone with them, I felt like someone actually heard me . They didn’t push me or judge me—just straight up helped me figure out what I needed. The place had a super chill energy, kind of like a breath of fresh air after all the chaos I’d been through .What hit different was the way they blended structure with real understanding. Gaudenzia Crownsville saved my life. They bent over backwards for me. Darlene is runs a tight ship but she goes above and beyond to help folks who oftentimes are too lost in their drug induced hazed to help themselves. People talk trash and put the administration and staff down. Bullshit. I heard so often "man...dis worser than jail man" again I call BULLSHIT! It gets boring true and people get cabin fever and start to go nuts from the boredom but recovery is what you make it and if you don't make it work it will work against you. Healthy habits include healthy self talk. I just want to say some of the biggest complaints made about Gaudenzia were made by the biggest complainers I ever met. If you or your loved ones want to get slearn how to live well then I suggest Gaudenzia Crownsville. I love you Ms.Denise! What's up Wade! My love to all the nurses! I had a very good experience at TW. The facility is very nice, as are the grounds. While the houses always seem cold, I slept well in very comfortable beds. I found the therapists very engaging and helpful with a big focus on the root causes of the substance abuse. The education groups were also good particularly if you’re struggling with the higher power concept. There are some dumb rules and I strongly recommend the RG houses rather than the main house. The main house is very busy all day. The pool, hot tub and sauna are all great amenities. Enjoyed the massage and acupuncture therapies. The yoga and cellular healing were less than expected. If you’re serious about recovery I highly recommend this place.

I found my time at the Arnold location POP was most helpful in my recovery. The staff was educational in the topics discussed and interactive with us to make sure we engaged and participated. The opportunity to attend classes in a hybrid setting was convenient and gave me more flexibility to reach my goals. On the hole, this was a facility and staff gets high marks all around. If you find yourself in need of these services provided The Arnold location would be my first choice.

All the Staff are very positive, supporting and fight for you, when you might need a little more extra help, due to some mental issues or physical, or emotional. They are there for you 100% . I want to mention My Counselor, Ms. D. Herrera... She is the Best, Most, Supportive, Positive, Strong and Caring Counselor-(Drug).... I have ever had. She has been a Drug Counselor and a Therapist for Me all in One. I Love Her with All My Heart!!!!! SHE IS FANTASTIC... THE BEST.. I'M SO BLESSED & GRATEFUL THAT SHE IS A PART... CAM has by far been the best program I’ve been on. I was at another program (Cherryhill) for years & that place Hod change your whole energy. I would go in happy, come out in a horrible mood! There were a few good people there like Mrs. Hope & Nurse Michelle & a few good counselors, but at CAM, everyone has been amazing! From the beautiful woman at the front to the nurses & counselors, I am grateful for each one of them. I’ve been clean for 14 years & continue to be clean because of CAM.

I have lived in Frederick for the last two years and have done recovery in that area for the last two consecutive years as well when I made the decision to come back to Anne Arundel County to be closer to family. The only place I did an application for was Evolve. A few years later, I did an interview and was accepted the same day. About a week before my dishwasher we called to let them know. I was being close to being discharged. We were notified and I was on a waitlist and I was pretty far down the waitlist and I went into full panic mode because I had no Plan B and I did not want a Plan B!!! I had heard nothing but positive things about Evolve from personal close friends that are in recovery. That weekend, I did a lot of self advocating in my higher power was definitely on my side because Tuesday I was told that I was leaving the next day. So far, my experience has been great here. Everybody has been extremely friendly, including staff and my peers. The house is absolutely beautiful inside and out! I can’t wait to see where the next six months brings me! But I am forever grateful that Evolve will be part of my journey.

Went here as an adolescent and I'm glad to see it's still there and that mark and his adventure therapy is still a thing. I still remember the course. Thank you for helping me. Though I did sadly relapse a few years later. But I'm clean now and I have over ten years under my belt. This is a great hospital and the nurses I had where great and treated me like a person and they where very caring and all the doctors I had except one doctor who falseley accused me of refusing to leave and also she was a very arrogant and cocky doctor with a really bad bed side manor and that surgeon needs to have her license revoked to be a surgeon but also she was the reason I left early all because of one doctor and I was transferred from one hospital to another for a hurnia repaired and even the nurses and doctors in the emergency room was great and basicly the whole general surgeon team I had was great but one doctor and I tried to make a complaint against that doctor with patient advocate but I had no call back from them I called 3 times and I got there answer machine but that one doctor really needs to get repermanded for her actions and also she falsely accused me of wanting opioid pain medicine I only asked for Tylenol with codine for pain when I got home but unfortunately I was discharged with no pain medicine and that surgeon needs to be sued or have her hospital privileges revoked and patient advocates are not helpful for returning my calls when I tried to make a complaint against that doctor but overall great hospital but you need to do something with that general surgeon that treated me so badly that I got discharged prematurely and also I'm very sorry to say this but I will never go to another lifebridge hospital system ever again

I was terrified of going to the hospital 🏥. However (and this is RARE for me to say) all the nurses and 80% of the doctors are very awesome and helpful. Im being taken care of, when I thought they would be like other places that just throw me out the door with no help. If you see this have a blessed day! ✝️🙏💜

Completely new review. I deleted my old review because a lot has changed for the better. I absolutely LOVE Lester, Rebecca, and the Amazing Mrs Davita. My counselor Davita is A1 top notch, she is up there in my top two with my old counselor Ciara. And that’s saying a lot. She actually CARES about me which is amazing. Rebecca is the best and Lester is always so pleasant. The nurses have been great and so has the doctor. Whatever changes they made have been working!
