I was someone who stayed here for so time almost a year. I know you can't please everyone but they did try to. Most of the residential staff was wonderful very attentive to the clients needs. The two that I felt that went beyond their job was Simone and Melissa I felt very safe and comfortable w them and they are some of the most compassionate, caring staff I have come across I truly believe they are at their job not only for a paycheck but to help. I will put it like this there a some people who really really care and there are some here just for a paycheck. I have been here since 9/4/24 and they got me clean and kept me clean. I will say this the ones that I felt the most love from was chenelle, who is a very amazing cook and a very wonderful woman you can feel all her love when she is in the kitchen and she has nothing but love for the people in recovery. Ms norah opened her arms open to me since we met she believes and me and she makes me feel good even on my bad days. Most of the RSP show us respect and show love more then u get from any counselor and has helped me with my issues and so have the clients they were there for me when I really needed them and made me feel like I'm worthy of happiness and love. Now that I'm in the half way house and almost leaving now the high ups want to make changes which would of really helped me but im I leaving in a few days so I hope the changes they make will help the men behind me. All in all this place is what u make it if u want to recover and become a better place this place will make cause after u leave this place it will make u not want to come back..

I had a very scary and unexpected trip by ambulance to Harbor last week. I was very impressed with the ER nurse who took care of me. Lovely blonde lady from New Mexico, it was around midnight. She had me in a room quickly and kept me calm throughout the experience. Unbelievably nice. Explained everything. Showed me a lot of dignity as a patient. I was admitted and was equally impressed with my nurse (from Howard County - Melissa or Nicole maybe?!) who cared for me as well as the CNA’s who were so sweet. I received great care. I requested a room change due to noise and was accommodated. Doctors didn’t engage with me very much but that’s ok, the nursing staff had it! The sonographer and her student were very kind and gentle as well. The Radiologist (John?) was so kind and reassuring and nice.

CAM has by far been the best program I’ve been on. I was at another program (Cherryhill) for years & that place Hod change your whole energy. I would go in happy, come out in a horrible mood! There were a few good people there like Mrs. Hope & Nurse Michelle & a few good counselors, but at CAM, everyone has been amazing! From the beautiful woman at the front to the nurses & counselors, I am grateful for each one of them. I’ve been clean for 14 years & continue to be clean because of CAM.

Would HIGHLY recommend exploring treatment options with Kolmac if you’re ready to step into your recovery. ❤️🩹 I completed the 90(ish) day IOP program attending online group sessions three times a week for three hours in addition to individual medical appts/medication management and individual treatment plan planning. I had the incredible pleasure of working with Lisa S as my group counselor. She was professional, compassionate and understanding of the needs of her group members. She maintained a healthy and safe environment for us to all lean into the process at our own pace and found ways to relate to everyone regardless of situation. My medical/medication management was also all handled via telehealth. I felt heard when discussing my apprehension to some medications and was made to feel like the process to improve my health and the decisions being made around it were collaborative. Katelyn was my individual counselor and assisted me with developing my treatment plan. She is an absolute sweetheart and though early in her career was able to provide guidance and encouragement that felt beyond her years. I am actively transitioning to their continuing care program and look forward to seeing how far I can go with such a strong team behind me. 97 days!!!

The services for veterans are good for helping veterans get back their self worth back. They provide shelter and help with common needs for veterans. There are opportunities for veterans to get help for those dealing with addition. They also help veterans who are looking for shelter on a temporary basis. I would recommend veterans who are facing a difficult time to give the Helping Up Mission a chance to help them reclaim their lives with dignity and respect. Mr. Rasheed Savage will get you the help that you need and he is very professional in his approach to helping people, especially veterans.

I stayed inpatient here back in 2018 and the people who worked here helped shape my recovery story today. I didn't realize it then because I was fresh off the street and detoxing but today I can say with much gratitude that its the people who care and work tirelessly to help the patients that make Hope House what it is.

Went here as an adolescent and I'm glad to see it's still there and that mark and his adventure therapy is still a thing. I still remember the course. Thank you for helping me. Though I did sadly relapse a few years later. But I'm clean now and I have over ten years under my belt. My son has been here before. He is no longer a younger man, n has been to many rehabs. He states this is the best in state of Md. The staff is respectful of the patients needs. Although I can't contact him for encouragement, his counselor makes sure he gets a chance to call home.
