I had the incredible pleasure of working with Lisa S as my group counselor. She was professional, compassionate and understanding of the needs of her group members. She maintained a healthy and safe environment for us to all lean into the process at our own pace and found ways to relate to everyone regardless of situation. My medical/medication management was also all handled via telehealth. I felt heard when discussing my apprehension to some medications and was made to feel like the process to improve my health and the decisions being made around it were collaborative. Katelyn was my individual counselor and assisted me with developing my treatment plan. She is an absolute sweetheart and though early in her career was able to provide guidance and encouragement that felt beyond her years. I am actively transitioning to their continuing care program and look forward to seeing how far I can go with such a strong team behind me. 97 days!!!

I stayed inpatient here back in 2018 and the people who worked here helped shape my recovery story today. I didn't realize it then because I was fresh off the street and detoxing but today I can say with much gratitude that its the people who care and work tirelessly to help the patients that make Hope House what it is.

Excellent!!! I could not have been in a better recovery treatment facility. With apprehension upon admission, that feeling left as soon as I walked in the door. The really take their time with you, and help you through every lesson. I met the most amazing staff members, who treat you with dignity, and compassion. I completed my recovery and went on to the next phase. Thanks for everything!

I just came there for MRI, the staff there were unremarkable. They warm and welcoming attitude were very encouraging especially the lady that put the IV line on my hand and male Tech/staff that did my MRI. Keep up the good work. 👍🏾.

My stay in Parham Hospital was enjoyable . I had an LTHR surgery, so one wouldn’t describe being in the hospital as enjoyable, but everyone treated me wonderful. My nurses Tiffany, Justin and Whitney were attentive to me and they took the best care of me. They made my stay pleasant.

My "doctor" if thats what you want to call it. Jamie deputy one day just goes i dont fill comfortable seeing you any more. Um my medicine was stolen i gpt the rest of my prescripfrom the hospital and went to my appoint ment. I take suboxe She was rude no empathy of feelings. Like Just talking to a wall. I went bright view they took me in and helped me immeadietly. God bless ms deputy i cant imagine what it would be like going thru life every day like that just judging people. I hope you dont ever end up alone no where to go.

I recommend this place. I spent a few years there as a teen. I was severely depressed and had massive anger issues. Yes the stay was rough. And had its moments. But overall it did help me. And im glad it was available for me. Thank you shady grove!

I received treatment at SGBH last year, and I am glad I was able to get help. Everyone was respectable, and many were friendly. If anyone is having a mental health crisis, they should be glad SGBH is around to help them.

Accepted right before Thanksgiving - registered and triaged very quickly , diagnosed in two hours , surgery one hour later . Great staff across all ranks - polite , professional and very knowledgeable! Very thankful for having hospital like that in our community!

I have taken several program participants to various medical and mental health appointments over the years both in Virginia and in Maryland and was hands down super impressed with the staff at the CSB juvenile, adult, and emergency services. There was quite a wait for emergency services but each department communicated with each other and was so polite. Brian Stewart is one of the few names that we caught but he was phenomenal. The staff checked on us, fed us, and gave us blankets. We saw them touching base with some individuals who were clearly in crisis and they were just so patient and caring. Dr. Smith was our emergency services doc and I wish he could see people regularly because he was funny and he made my program participant feel heard. I have been with an individual to the primary care as well and enjoyed the collaboration with DO Pristell.

There really are no words for how incredibly wonderful Newport was for my child. She went in with so many struggles and came out with a completely different attitude and coping skills to deal with the hard times. I was completely supported by the INCREDIBLE staff there the entire time. It truly was the best decision I ever made for my child. I wish I could give them 100 stars. They were very good. They helped me when I was at my lowest. They worked together to distract me. I awoled a lot, people probably say I was supposed to go there but I did. They truly helped me. The therapists are also really good, and well trained. I really can’t call out just one person, because they all came together to support me.

I cannot speak more highly of Newport. I read negative reviews when considering sending my 12 year old. I was terrified. No parent wants to do this, let alone drop their kid out of state. It was a horrible decision but we decided to take the leap for fear that her life may be over if we didn’t. (Or that she would never move past the pain she was in, at best…) Our experience was wonderful. Newport treats the kids like they matter. The rooms are cozy and more home-like, which warmed my mama heart. This place is what I wish all crisis intervention places are like, but sadly are not. Children deserve better. Newport does it right. My child is better off for having been through the program. She came back with tools and a better outlook. We then got her in a therapeutic school and I’m happy to say she’s thriving! I’ll never say it isn’t a journey. She still struggles here and there. But we are light years beyond what we hoped for back then and I attribute quite a bit to the care she got at Newport. She would agree and that says something …
