James Waltz 1 year ago It's a VA clinic, while it's a bit of a pain to travel so far out of my way. It's still a nice place. The staff is friendly and amazing. They do so much while being constantly hampered by the federal government with you know their incompetence. The staff here is competent, the place is clean and well taken care of. But last night/extremely early this morning was one of the best experiences I’ve had there and wanted others to know as well as them. I took my daughter there around midnight for vomiting (suspected acid reflux). I felt terrible for taking her to the ER for that, because it’s truly not an emergency. We have a pediatrician appointment Monday to address this, but the past week until I could put together that it was probably reflux, we have had countless night of very minimal sleep and last night I had enough. We were all extremely tired and I just wanted to help relieve it and help her sleep better until we could see her pediatrician Monday. I was worried that I would feel judged or dramatic for bringing her in for something so “little” and truly not something that she should be seen in the ER for. Absolutely no one in the ED (reception, triage, nurse, doctor) ever made me feel that way and made me feel validated for how I was feeling and why we were there. One of the quickest trips to the ER I’ve ever had there, which I know isn’t always their fault! They went looking for stickers after my daughter asked if they had any, and if they did if she could get an extra one for her brother at home. They found some and were able to grab her an extra one for her brother! I just can’t say thank you enough for listening to me and understanding I was just a very over tired mom trying to get my daughter some relief so we could all get some sleep. tiffany spahr 4 months ago

So all I can say is the staff on all levels has been great. Sometimes I wonder if they debrief the staff enough. I mean some of these kids and parents I see while waiting for my appointment drive me crazier than I already am lol. If everyone you meet is a jerk maybe the jerk is you. martin 6 years ago I just left Community Behavioral Health after the inpatient program. The nursing staff and counselors have improved so much over the years. The front desk receptionist Heather is warm and welcoming. The nursing staff is quick, professional & thorough. My counselor Jamie is the best I’ve had in all of my years of recovery up to this point. She always points out the positives in any situation and has a soft & loving way of talking through anything negative. Aside from her loving & professional style of counsel, she has degrees and certificates that make her more than qualified for the job. Out of all the facilities in the area that assist with medicated outpatient addiction treatment, AMS is the cleanest, most qualified and most professional. It is a Mast Cell Disease. Local Hospital & John Hopkins both told me, we know what you have, there is no cure, there is no pill, there is nothing else we can do for you. After 10 years of my own research I found out I need to take an antihistamine with H1 and H2 blockers to reduce allergic reactions. Cambridge VA has been over seeing my symptoms, plus psychological therapy. Getting me a new back brace to support my 17 compression fractures. You are greeted very respectful by everyone. Appointment times run on time. The clinic is 40 miles away from where I live. I rather travel 40 miles, than go the local Doctors. Only 1 of my 8 local doctors that I have, has went out of his way to help me. Cambridge VA go out of their way to help you in anyway possible.
