I go to therapy due to me having Macular Degeneration and health issues that has me totally stressed out. I sought help. My health has declined and I was so overwhelmed with everything. People please protect your mental and your peace. I am fighting a battle in which many people do not understand, unless it is happening to them or a loved one. A battle in which I do not wish upon anyone. Its me today but can be you tomorrow. This world has no compassion or empathy for those whom are suffering. My disease is a hidden disability and because I do not look like I feel I am judged and criticized. I feel so sick, alone, afraid, and helpless. Despite all the medical evidence that proves my claim they still think its not true. I am really suffering behind most often a painted smile. However, now im tired. Crying and screaming within. Why is all this happening to me? I never have time to catch my breath. Being blind or legally blind is not easy. One day I could see and then suddenly you can barely see anything. The world changed just like that. Shame on those who do not have a heart and who is trying to break mines with their opinions. Who do you turn to when there is nowhere or noone to turn to? I came here in 2018 when I was at rock bottom and finally ready for a change and today I can say that it was life changing for me. I've been clean ever since and have rebuilt a happy life down in Florida near the beach. I don't remember names but my counselor was amazing, and there was another really pretty lady in heels who was a Capricorn that was amazing as well. Anyways thank you guys for facilitating one of the most pivotal moments in my life. Will be forever grateful.

Walden has employees who are very dedicated & compassionate where adults in their care are concerned. Thru covid nightmares making a huge hindrance in allowing group meetings for some time, dedicated staff realized the importance of interaction with others who have walked the same nightmare. National shortage of trained help I am sure impacts their jobs, but I sincerely feel Walden's employees work there for the right reason..often saving a person's life. Their satisfaction at times when in the future seeing one of the 'flock' leading a normal, happy life when they run into them in public tells me they are there to make a viable difference. Thanks to all of Walden's angels in disguise for this!

This place saved my life. Plain and simple. I just left in late October 2025.
And just like any AA / NA meeting, rehab requires action and work. RCA might not be a Malibu Passages (which rehab isn’t suppose to be some fantasy, sleep and get massages all day land) but they helped me crack the code in how not to give up, bc I wanted to and I was tired.
But the experience I had, leaning into it and embracing it? Yeah, I got so much from this place. Family. Friends. Knowing I’m not alone. It’s huge.
So thank you RCA.
And a massive shoutout to Pastor Ken. I could not have asked for a better therapist who just knew how to help me, I can’t explain it. Bridget, my Case Manager has a bigger heart than I thought was possible to have; Brittany, Marcus and Tammy (3 of the staff whom I was really counting on being there, and they were! I owe them so much)
And Ms. Sherry T….Ms. Sherry is a damn godsend to the patients. One of the greatest human beings I’ve ever met and will ever know. ❤️❤️

The IAFF Center of Excellence Saved my life . The Staff, BHT's, Therapist, Doctors, Cooks, and even the cleaning crew are also nice. Everyone and I mean everyone is there to help you. I tell people I had to travel all the way to Maryland to find Brotherhood. I made so many friends and about six of us comunicate with each other every day . The center gave me my smile back. My husband suffered PTSD for many years. It was left undiagnosed and mistreated for a long period of time. It took a lot of trials and tribulations for him and the loved ones involved, especially with me being I was the closest one to him and was susceptible to his symptoms. I also started picking up his symptoms, like I was suffering from it as well. Kinda like second-hand smoking. tHe went to a couple of recovery center which did not help him at all. But when he went to the IAFF COE, it was like a switch was turned on. It took a while for the treatment to really take effect or to see any results. But he made it through. I can't begin to express the gratefulness the family has. I wish I would have found a way for him to get there sooner and start his treatment. I was following the center since the beginning. But things happen a reason. When the day came that he was ready to feel alive again, you all helped him find his life again. I am now also finally starting my healing process.

My experience there was nothing short of life-changing. The staff and clinicians gave me the tools I needed to come back home and face my problems head-on. I learned how to communicate better in my relationships and handle challenges in a healthy way. The environment was supportive, understanding, and full of people who genuinely care about your well-being.

I will rate Chrysalis House based on when I was there and when it was being ran by different staff and Mrs Carisaa was there. Other than that I can not speak for the program after Mrs. Carissa left. When I was there it was tough but it is what i needed. I have never been to a program that actually cared and literally internally got to me dug up some buried issues and I worked on them. Mrs. MELVINA was my counselor, she was amazing. Most of the staff had went through addiction. Mrs Denise was amazzziiinnggg i never felt uncomfortable, leaving my son with them during the day. The whole staff at that time was amazing. Yes, it was very strict, but they did it in a loving way because they did not want us to die. I know countless women
That graduated the Chrysalis House and are still clean. I have ten fifteen, close lifelong friends that I had met at Chrysalis and that are still clean to this day. I have never went to a treatment that had this much success. Like I said, I cannot speak for the new staff, but it sounds like it is still a great program.While I was there and before I left, they were building on the new addition which was beautiful.It was finished before I left but was not open yet. A woman and children's program is needed and I hope that this one is ran as good as it was when I was there.I'm sure it is. I felt so safe with my children. I was someone who stayed here for so time almost a year. I know you can't please everyone but they did try to. Most of the residential staff was wonderful very attentive to the clients needs. The two that I felt that went beyond their job was Simone and Melissa I felt very safe and comfortable w them and they are some of the most compassionate, caring staff I have come across I truly believe they are at their job not only for a paycheck but to help. Thank you to all the residential staff. The clinical team here is beyond amazing I am actually lost for words how much the team does. From the moment I got on the phone with them, I felt like someone actually heard me . They didn’t push me or judge me—just straight up helped me figure out what I needed. The place had a super chill energy, kind of like a breath of fresh air after all the chaos I’d been through .What hit different was the way they blended structure with real understanding. This place is full of love, compassion and dedication to helping patients become their best selves. The Jude House has creative outlets for the patients like open mics where they can sing, play drums, guitar and share their songs and poetry. There is always a lot of laughter and support. They are investing even more into The Jude House now offering trauma informed yoga, music and art.

Pride Detox honestly saved my life. As a non-binary artist, I really felt safe. The gender-inclusive space and LGBTQ+ affirming care made healing real for me. Creative therapy helped me express pain I couldn't put into words. Staff were kind, trauma-informed, and never judged. Only wish there were more art-based options. Went here as an adolescent and I'm glad to see it's still there and that mark and his adventure therapy is still a thing. I still remember the course. Thank you for helping me. Though I did sadly relapse a few years later. But I'm clean now and I have over ten years under my belt. I remember the food was good too that's always a plus cuz you never wanna eat depending on what drugs you were on.

I just started going here a couple months ago. Dr. Edmonds has been thorough and very helpful to me. Dr. Jordan was very helpful as well. The administrative staff, nurses, and techs have all been polite, professional and helpful. With phone calls, on site appointments, referrals, etc. I think these folks at the Southern PG county clinic are doing a great job helping veterans. Thanks everyone!

I honestly don't see how these other reviews can be talking about the same place, I have seen what bad doctor's offices are like and this place isn't that...The staff here are friendly, patient and thorough. I can honestly say that I walked out of my first visit with a better state of mind than when I entered. Five stars!!!!

I visited Arundel Lodge’s mental health Urgent Care during a mental health/domestic violence crisis where I was unhoused and very unwell. I had been discharged prematurely and without proper treatment by the AAMC ED twice, BWMC ED twice, and Harbor Hospital ED once, even with a ongoing case file from police and Crisis Response, as well as a petition for treatment by an Officer. I was exhausted, sick, diagnosed with ketoacidosis from lack of nutrition and just wanted genuine clinical answers/help and not discrimination. The lovely receptionist immediately treated me with kindness and sympathy when I walked in with my bags, taking them and I back to a room immediately. Dr. Julie Seaman was able to evaluate and prescribe medication for my situation, and for the first time in years, I feel as though I have been prescribed the proper medication regimen for my Bipolar 1. With this care and reassurance, I was able to gather myself and regain control of the situation. Thank you for all you do here at Arundel Lodge. Kindness and compassion goes a long, long way!

This hospital is very nice. I recoverd from my mental health problem. They wrote my mental health problem on my discharge paper. Then doctors are very nice. The caseworker is very nice. Everybody is good people because if the patients ruminating they hold by Patience. But I have a recommendation for them about visitors word that means they have to prepare translation Robot to listen visitors talking because some visitors talk to patient bad unnecessary word that is not good for patients. One day I was in the hospital at that place my Dad was visited me. When my dad visit me he talk some word that word causes anxiety upon me. I didn't want to talk to my doctor because I want to discharge from the hospital because all my friends discharge from the hospital so not to stay that hospital for more days. In general I advice for that hospital to prepare and put recorder that can speak the whole language in the world at visitors area. when visitors come in that area they have to turn on that recorder, so they can do their job easily. Not only for that mental hospital I advice the whole mental hospital in the USA and the whole mental health hospital in the world.

I’ve been to Mount Vernon Hospital this month three times due to my irresponsible neighbor not getting a rabies vaccine for there 120 lb Cane Corso, which means I have to go thru all the rabies shots required.
I was originally registered at check in by Monica, she was lovely and very kind, knowing I was extremely nervous she made me feel good .I then had my first interaction with RN Julie she admitted me , she was calm, caring and comforted me , and she was so thorough , sincere , and cared . After being admitted I was very fortunate Dr. Ladd was my Dr. wonderful bedside manners , gentle and caring and kind and could see and feel my anxiety. The nurse assisting her with my shot was Josh what a great nurse , he spoke with me with such caring ways I was scared , he was comforting , Dr. Ladd explained all about the first shot and it would hurt but her speaking with me assured me I was in great hands , she was very gentle .
My next visits I just had to check in and the nurses could administer the following shots . My second and third visit Dajavan registered me, wow Inova you are very lucky to have such a kind and caring gentleman registering one when checking in , his smile , caring ways makes one feel better , what was better yet he recognized me each and every visited and greeted me with his big smile , also always assuring I’ll be with you shortly , I watched him interact with others , what a nice young man , your very lucky in this day and age to have him, especially since he’s the first one You see coming in the door .
The nurses that gave me the next few shots and I still have one more to go was Veronica and Megan again so caring , gentle and comforting, and very concerned in what had happened to me, every nurse I came in contact was lovely , Megan especially recognized me and ordered the shot immediately, very proactive. I thanked each one of these folks when leaving the hospital but I’d like You to know what a great team of folks you have there, I was lucky to get them all , please again let them know they made a scary situation much easier .
