They have a long term commu | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I am writing in high praise for the Maryland Addiction Recovery Center (MARC), its staff and its co-founder and Executive Director Sam Bierman.
Our daughter is now completing the program and is in her ninth month of sobriety through these collective efforts and the perseverance of our daughter.
MARC not only cares deeply for individuals in its programs, but also family members as well—through family counseling and updates that offer great compassion, understanding and peace.
MARC has my highest recommendation. It has saved our daughter; she has saved herself through this excellent program. As a writer and career journalist, I know excellence when I see it… Greg O'Brien 2 months ago not a bad place, really helped me find a community that i could relate and connect with. i ended up AMA-ing for my own reasons. with these places, there’s always room for improvement, i think there could’ve been a lot more to do and get engaged in in residence, i wish we had movie nights or kareoke for example. and i wish the woman’s group didn’t feel so…misogynistic? just felt like everything we did was very girly? the best i can put it ig. idk i found myself watching a lot of TV because of how little there was to do. if you’re looking for somewhere serene, you won’t find it here, BUT i think if you come in with an open mind, and do what you need to do, and DONT get caught up in other clients, you can find a lot of peace in sobriety. remember what you came for. (it’s you) goodluck in there! be nice to the TA’s too, they DO care about you.
i want to shoutout some of my favroite people, i think most of them have left, but GOD i miss y’all.
Mike James, ur the bald G.O.A.T
Riley, i freaking love your emo alien ass
Carmen, you were like a mother to me
Camilo, i still check to see how my bones are feeling, you really helped me a lot.
Charlie, you are just awesome i still have the fallout sticker you didn’t want.
Greg, MY REHAB DAD I LOVE YOU, thanks for that dope hike that one time.
Katie, i loved watching movies with you, you’re the best.
Kerianne, the best therapist i think i’ve ever had, she CARES.
Jackie, i wish we had more conversations, you’re so dope
and to anyone else i might be forgetting, THANK YOU!! i love you guys so much. Casidy 3 months ago If you’re looking for a place that actually treats addiction like the chronic, complex, identity-dismantling condition it is, MARC is it. They take time, care, and effort, offering long-term care that dares to go beyond the hope of a 28-day radical transformation. The staff really knows what they’re doing, and they manage to be both clinicians and humans. It’s rare to find a program this ethical, compassionate, and effective. I couldn’t recommend MARC more! Brittany Dietsch 1 year ago This place gave me another chance to get my life together Michael besnoska 2 years ago I have been with Port Recovery for about a year and a half now. I've had sessions with Alana, Elaine, Courtney, Joanne, and Carol. I also had M-F 9am group sessions as well when I was on probation. I like the place enough that I've decided to stay with them after probation to keep seeing Ms. Cook as my psychiatric nurse practitioner. The welcoming environment is exactly what I need, and most likely you too. I was referred to Port Recovery from my Probation Officer. I got into trouble by wrecking my car into a ditch while sleep driving on Ambien. I couldn't remember a thing, only waking up in the hospital. So, I stopped taking extra Ambien even if I can't fall asleep back in February 2020. Now, I'm getting help at Port Recovery with my severe anxiety, depression, and PTSD issues. Best place I've been to for those issues, and being able to see all the professionals I need under one roof is perfectly convenient. Everyone is on the same page! Good luck to everyone else!!! Highly recommended! Paul Hucik Jr 2 years ago | 3 |
