Concord, MA | Emerson Hospital is a full-service medical center in Concord, Massachusetts that offers inpatient behavioral health treatment and recovery services for adults with substance use disorders. The hospital’s secure 31-bed Behavioral Health Unit provides 24-hour care for patients managing addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. Emerso | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I recently spent several days at Emerson Hospital, and despite being there during a very difficult and physically painful time, I left with an incredible appreciation for the quality of care and compassion I received.
The nurses who cared for me—Autumn, Mary, and Jenna—each made a meaningful impact on my experience, and I truly cannot thank them enough.
Nurse Mary stood out for her incredible attention to detail and willingness to advocate for me. She took the time to review my care, ask questions, listen to me, and make sure that the things being done for me actually made sense for my individual situation. She didn’t just treat me like another patient—she paid attention to the person behind the chart.
Nurse Jenna was simply one of the sweetest people I encountered during my stay. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine concern were evident every time she came into my room. She consistently checked on me and made sure I had whatever support I needed. Her compassion brought a sense of comfort during a time when I really needed it.
But Nurse Autumn deserves a special mention. There was something about the way Autumn cared for me that I will never forget. She made me feel like family.
That may sound like a simple statement, but anyone who has ever been hospitalized knows how difficult it can be to feel truly seen and cared for when you’re surrounded by unfamiliar people, medical equipment, tests, and uncertainty. Autumn somehow managed to make that environment feel different. She was attentive, knowledgeable, compassionate, and continuously checked on me. She involved me in my care, listened to me, and made me feel as though my well-being genuinely mattered to her.
While I was experiencing significant physical pain and going through a difficult time, having a nurse who could make me feel safe, respected, and cared for on that level was incredibly refreshing. Autumn didn’t just provide nursing care—she provided comfort.
This experience gave me an entirely new appreciation for nurses and the role they play in a patient’s recovery. The compassion, advocacy, patience, and humanity that Mary, Jenna, and especially Autumn showed me are things I will remember long after leaving Emerson.
To the nursing staff at Emerson Hospital: thank you. You do so much more than care for patients medically. You care for people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives, and that matters.
I am incredibly grateful for the care I received and would absolutely recommend Emerson Hospital based on the exceptional nurses who cared for me. Five stars, without hesitation. ❤️
The food was just okay…. 🙈

Sunday was a fitful night, my heartbeat too fast to stay asleep, even sitting up. Monday morning, my cardiologist's office insisted the first available appointment was September 1. I couldn't wait.
I went to the Emerson Hospital ER, minutes away in Concord, MA.
Despite a waiting room full of people, they took me in in no time and, after blood tests and an EKG, diagnosed me with afib, atrial fibrillation.
In 24 hours, I had a chest x ray, an echocardiogram, and meds to bring my heart rate down and into rhythm.
Every care giver, from intake to every nurse and doctor, was professional and attentive. I could not have asked for better care and will always be thankful for landing in such capable hands at a frightening time.

Its hard to put into words how much Paramount changed my life. Ive been in a few treatment facilities over the years but this one has a different feel to it. From day one I felt like I was in the right place because the staff made it a point to welcome me and made me feel comfortable. I found all the groups very beneficial and the focus of mental illness and addiction made a huge impact on me. After completion of treatment I know I'm on the right path. Its going to be a life long journey but Paramount gave me the tools I need to succeed. Much love and gratitude to all the Staff at paramount. I plan on keeping in Paramount in my life!

I really can't say enough about Paramount, I just finished my treatment there, and I have tremendous gratitude for all of the staff for being a part of my recovery journey. I was overwhelmed that first day right after detox with all that happened with initially getting clean, but the staff is obviously well practiced at putting their new clients at ease. Loved the groups and their curriculum, it's clear they continually evaluate what works well and they listen to feedback. I felt like I was extremely well matched to my therapist and I made a lot of headway into having insight to my addiction and issues surrounding my relapses. I feel very well equipped after finishing the program to continue with my recovery and get my life back

Despite RCA’s shortcomings, they kickstarted my sobriety and were a great first step in my recovery. If you’re in good health and don’t need special accommodations, then this place is what you make of it. The admission process and acceptance to their facility was really quick, so my advice is to prepare as much as possible. Bring your own SEALED OTC medicine and SEALED hygiene and cosmetic products. You’ll meet with a doctor on the 2nd or 3rd day and can ask him to put these medicines in your patient med chart so that the nurses can disperse them to you. Try not to get hurt. You won’t get to go to a hospital unless you’re suicidal or OD’ing. My toe fracture can attest. But with that being said, I’m still grateful for the time I spent here and for the counselors that were once in our shoes and are now recovered, they are great. Medical team and their procedures and protocols could use a revamping.

Quincy, MA | Andrew House Detox is a medically monitored detox and stabilization program in Quincy, Massachusetts. The center provides supervised withdrawal support for individuals seeking recovery from substance use. The facility is associated with Bay Cove Human Services and focuses on providing a safe, structured environment during the earliest and most crit | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I was angry leaving my initial one star review because I felt lied to and deceived. I was told I’d be lucky to make it back to this place… meaning that I’d be dead and not be able to make it back. I was told I would be dead cause of how “horrible and defiant” I was. I did not like AA was not for me so I was going to die. Many people that worked here told me. My case worker gossiped about me to a whole group of my peers saying “one of you is going down a dark road” really? These are the people to trust? These are the people “getting me better.” Also they said the bill would not need to be paid and I kept getting harassed by AP office I believe in Florida? So I was furious.
So my initial review was one star and I left out words because I wrote a nasty review and had to erase them.
I wanted to come back and edit my one star review to a five star. Cause here I am, over 5 years later, still going strong as ever in my recovery, and I have a place that is mine, I have a good steady job, and I’m free of the chains of addiction. Whether I like it or not, my experience here is what lead me to where I am today. There was some amazing staff that was overworked and under paid so if by some grace of god they are still there, god bless. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and say they were trying reverse psychology on me, the staff talking crap about me to other peers, the staff saying I’d be dead. But they were not that smart, they genuinely were telling me I was hopeless. I won’t name you but I know that you know who you are.
Now I sit here over 5 years later thinking that maybe if you did not spend so much time talking down and being hateful and judgmental to me, maybe all my brothers in program with me that are dead now, would still be alive if you paid them that energy. But it is what it is right? I don’t equate my success to NEATC, hell no. I put my success on my shoulders. I easily could have taken yall saying I’d be dead soon and actually gone and died. But I didn’t. I spit in all your faces and I proved all of you wrong. I did it for me. I did it for my brothers who died due to the lack of care they received wether insurance was poor or you just focused more on me being defiant than their complacent obedience to your AA. What works for some does not work for all. It’s your hate that drove the fight in me to succeed. I see my brothers in the program with me that never will get to share their smiles with the world, I can share the smile they taught me. I can share their message and I will not let them down.
That’s why I have 5 stars. This place did exactly what it needed to. Just like life, drove me insane, judged me, hate on me, gave me a place to live full of rats and mice, financial issues to battle, had to face death, had to hear pain like no other, and was not the smoothest ride. But through the pain and darkness of life there is always light, you can be that light. You can change. Amidst all the bad, there was a handful of AMAZING staff and people that gave me a real life experience I will never ever ever forget. Just like life this place is not perfect, we need to take the challenges and push on. I loved this place. And always will. This place did heal me. Not how I wanted but how I needed. Just like real life. I noticed my growth as I wanted to change my one star review. Even after all the trouble, I pushed through and fought and still see the light. I am still a light that will not be dimmed. And this place is a HUGE part of the reason I am who I am today. An amazing light in a dark dark world. This place put a challenge in front of me, life is not easy, you need to put in the work, and when life punches, you need to punch back harder.
Thank you NEATC and the amazing staff I can’t imagine would still be working here but if you are I love you. Forever I love you, and miss you, and wish you the best. I would love to come speak one day at an event, I don’t live close by anymore but I’d love to make something so please contact. Anyone wondering if they should come here, yes. Yes you should.

Rockland Recovery has been an incredibly positive part of my recovery. That is why I chose to come back after leaving last time. The staff genuinely care about the people here, and that shows in everything from the clinical work to the groups and everyday interactions. The clinicians and group facilitators are knowledgeable, compassionate, and willing to meet people where they are. Ritchie Evans, Eddie Payne, Henry, and Mattie are all great.
The person I have connected with most is Ritchie. He is a solid dude with a great deal of lived experience, and he always offers something thoughtful and insightful. We share common bonds through addiction and combat service, so he understands parts of my experience that can be difficult to explain to someone who has not lived them.
One thing Ritchie said will forever change how I see recovery. He encouraged me not to think of people with addiction as simply being burdened with addiction, but as people who may have been chosen to serve a mission from God by using what we have survived to help others. That gave purpose to experiences I had previously viewed only as pain.
Rockland is fortunate to have Ritchie and the rest of this staff. This is a place filled with people who understand recovery, believe in the people they serve, and offer real hope.

I’m two and a half years clean thanks to this place. To keep it short, I left detox and went to another facility that was extremely strict about AA and pushed it in a way that didn’t work for me. When I expressed that, it became an issue, so I chose to leave.. leaving was difficulty the other facility made me walk miles and miles before allowing myself a cell phone and left my stranded in the middle of nowhere. I got the courage after leaving to find another facility and CHOOSE NOT TO GO BACK TO THE LIFESTYLE I ONCE HAD.
Finding Mayflower made all the difference. I appreciated that they allowed a more balanced, normal routine outside of meetings—you could relax, watch TV, do crafts, play basketball, and still focus on recovery. They also offered a different approach to sobriety that felt more supportive and personalized.
What really stood out was the medical staff—they were always there when I needed them and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. This was my first time getting sober, and I’ve stayed sober ever since because of this place.. great food as well. I’m so thankful for this place because without them I don’t know where I would be today. If one place isn’t a fit for you in recovery please find the next place and do not give up!

From my very first interaction, the entire team demonstrated genuine compassion and professionalism. Jeff and Juan in Admissions made what could have been an overwhelming process feel manageable, providing guidance and encouragement from the very beginning. Jasmine took the time to understand my individual circumstances and developed a treatment plan tailored specifically to my needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
During my time in the PHP program, I had the privilege of working with Lara, an exceptional clinician whose knowledge, compassion, and dedication had a profound impact on my recovery. The program itself is engaging, interactive, and thoughtfully designed. Rather than simply presenting information, the staff fosters meaningful discussions and provides practical tools and coping strategies that can be applied in everyday life.
I am also grateful for the outstanding support provided by the entire team, including Zhenya, Noah, Kayla, Macy, Julia, Cecilia, Tony, Thespina, and Annemarie. Every staff member contributed to creating a welcoming, supportive, and recovery-focused environment.
A special thank you to Caroline for organizing the outstanding Super Saturdays. These events quickly became one of the highlights of my week. The combination of Reiki sessions provided by Lighthouse Holistic Healing and peaceful nature walks and hikes offered an invaluable opportunity to recharge both mentally and physically while reinforcing the importance of self-care in recovery.
What truly distinguishes Woburn Wellness is its commitment to treating each individual as a unique person with unique needs. The personalized care, knowledgeable staff, and genuine investment in each client’s success create an environment where lasting recovery is possible.
I wholeheartedly recommend Woburn Wellness to anyone seeking treatment for substance use or mental health challenges. Thanks to the unwavering support, guidance, and dedication of the entire team, I am proud to say that I am sober today. I will always be grateful for the role Woburn Wellness has played in helping me build a healthier and more fulfilling future.

Woburn Wellness has truly been a life-changing experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, supported, and genuinely cared for. The staff is compassionate, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to make sure every client feels comfortable and heard.
The program provides a safe, judgment-free environment where healing and personal growth are the priority. The therapists, group facilitators, and entire team are incredibly dedicated and have made such a positive impact on my recovery journey.
A special shout-out to Macy, the Mental Health Program Director, and Jasmine, the Substance Use Program Director, whose compassion and dedication make Woburn Wellness a truly exceptional place for healing and recovery. A special thank you to Noah for being such an incredible facilitator! The team goes above and beyond to accommodate each client’s individual needs and special requests, making everyone feel at home.
If you’re looking for an outpatient treatment center that truly cares about its clients and provides the tools and support needed to succeed, I can’t recommend Woburn Wellness enough. Thank you to everyone there for everything you do!

Medication-assisted treatment is available to help ease withdrawal symptoms and decrease drug cravings. This service provides guests more comfort and may help them remain in treatment longe | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Bedrock was truly a great experience to gain early recovery tools. Detox nursing were awesome. They always explained what medication was what and how it could/would affect me. Residential was as a great experience for me. Most techs actually have been through the program/recovery so they actually understand and care about you. The nursing up here was great as well. The nurse Linda loves all her clients like her own. The alumni coordinators are truly inspiring. Math was super helpful in my personal recovery! He runs great groups and won’t coddle you but offer tough love support and recommendations. Knowing he’s been through this for a lot of his life really made his stories speak out. I want to shout out Luna, Kourtney, Alisha, Christine, Crystal, Casey, Marcia, Josh, Jerry, and Ms. Dee for all the love and support as well as Cheryl, Lawrence, and Mirable my care team.

After struggling with addiction and trying six different rehab programs without success, Bedrock Recovery Center was the place that finally helped me get sober and change my life.
From day one, the staff genuinely cared about my recovery and treated me with compassion, respect, and understanding. A special thank you to Billy, Cam, and Mathematics, who all played a huge role in helping me stay focused, accountable, and hopeful during some of the toughest days of my life.
The program gave me the tools, support, and structure I needed to build a foundation for long-term sobriety. Today, I have a new outlook on life, stronger faith, and hope for the future because of Gods amazing grace, my willingness and determination and Bedrocks staff.
Yesterday I celebrated 90 days clean. My parents have their son back. My kids have their Dad back. It’s really a miracle if you knew everything I’ve been through.
If you’re struggling and looking for a place that truly cares about your recovery, I can’t recommend Bedrock Recovery Center enough. It gave me a chance at a new life when I had almost given up on myself. Thank you, Bedrock.

This place was great I went here the staff went above and. Beyond to help me get to the place I choose for further treatment they also got me multiple things I needed like clothes and cosmetics literature for the 12 step program I do! The groups were good. The clinical staff was very good to me and made me feel at home! Also there's tvs in the room so that was cool when I had nothing going on and the smoke breaks were just enough. And spaced very good! If have to go any where again its gonna be here!
