I would be so much worse off but the ACT TEAM has been bringing me meds every other day to prevent another suicide attempt and with their help I have hope of not being homeless and although I am extremely depressed because of my situation, the meds are really helping my schizophrenic symptoms. I'm still many layers beneath depression due to the reality I woke up to but the Act adventures and getting out with people makes me feel human again.and I am looking forward to trying clubhouse

10/10 would recommend Arbor Circle to anybody suffering from the cycle of substance abuse. RJ Holloway and Samantha Biolo are both amazing! They are driven and passionate about what they do... something I don't see much in Allegan County. I feel like more than just a number, a statistic, a paycheck. I was homeless for 3 years and addicted to meth up until reaching out to Arbor Circle. I've been shown nothing but compassion and support. As well as accountability! This place has gone out of their way to make sure their clients get what they need... making phone calls for me (I am Deaf), rides, hygiene items. They took care of my family member twice, the first time I wasn’t completely impressed by the psychiatrist but the second time it was a new psychiatrist and he was amazing. The whole staff minus one was amazing with my family member who was struggling so much. I couldn’t have picked a better staff to care for him and there was even one nurse that went above and beyond. I also know that this family member had said things that ended up not being real but again they were in a state of psychosis so their reality at the time was real to them until they became more clear headed, took his medication, had food and ate well. It’s easy to be upset about a patients care or “lack of care,” when you do not know the whole picture, but I would refer anyone to this unit because I know they do have quality care and kind hearts. 🥰

Great for AA and NA. The cross talk is a bit much for me. They know each other well, and we are supposed to be anonymous. But the message is there, so is the fellowship. Parking isn't terrible, but it is in a heavy tourist area, so visitors are welcomed.

This is simply for Zach(Zack?), the guy at front desk who took my call. If they took my insurance which covers everything, it would def be a better experience. However the choice between using and taking my medicine is clear to me and worth the money in the end. However it is a program that you have to work for yourself. No one can do it for you.

Let me just say I was a patient at Medmark for years and above everything no matter what because they open at 4:45 AM says it all. They generally want to meet everyday people’s needs to live a normal life.In and out the door before 5am to do what you need to do w your life. Try and find another clinic that does that for you. You won’t. Working men and women this your clinic. Just no weed. Sorry.

I do not typically do these reviews however I felt very strongly I needed to. I have been in the program for over 7 years. The program honestly saved my life after trying several other things. My addiction became like most had back problems and my doctors were very free to prescribe the opioids and benzodiazepines. Xanax was actually the worst for me hospitalized for over 10 days due to all the seizures. Anyways the nurses Yolanda Jackie Val are sweethearts and have never judged me once. Yolanda is the one person who always tells me she is proud of me I don’t even hear that from family. Kim who runs front desk is also great. In my experience I have had around 6 counselors and sorry to say this is the downfall here. I don’t know if they are overworked micromanaged or just don’t care but I have had to go elsewhere for my counseling. I have promise for my new counselor April who is new to this location. Since starting she has been on top on my case not letting anything slide. She gets accomplished what the 5 others took months to do and I appreciate that. Non judgmental follow-up and just caring she accomplishes where most can’t and this is what keeps me clean and alive and I thank her for that more than I can say. Doctor is a different story for a different day I will just say to the women ask that a third person be in the room. That’s all!

I have personally referred 3 friends to ICFR, in addition to numerous participants that come to us for help. What puts ICFR above others in the treatment arena is the time they spend unraveling the "why's" that lead to the misuse of substances. Without getting to the trauma, what lead you to escapism, long term success is limited. ICFR takes the time to explore the why's, and for me, as a person in recovery who didn't really get better without extensive trauma therapy, I know this to be true.

I was terrified to go into treatment but my whole life changed for the better from my first contact with ICFR. Everyone there is kind, supportive, helpful, and knowledgeable.
Colin T. was indispensable in helping me navigate my way from detox through IOP, and still checks in with alumni to make sure we have support after ICFR. I am so grateful for Colin and everyone at ICFR!

Making the choice to call the Aster Springs Ohio admissions team, do an assessment, and accept their recommendation was not easy. I was scared and thought there was no hope. My wonderful admissions resource, Renessa, was so helpful in guiding me every step of the way by answering all my questions, challenging my ED’s fears about treatment, and encouraging me. I would not have been able to make this choice without her advocacy and support. When you walk through the doors, you are met with some of the kindest people you will ever come across in this field, and sometimes they even come out to the parking lot to help you not have to walk through the doors alone. They all genuinely care about this work and will do everything they can to help you on your journey. The staff is phenomenal from maintenance, RCS’s, Nurses, the Clinical staff and Dietitians to Leadership. While in treatment, you build great rapport with your treatment team, especially the more honest you are with them, but you also connect so much with all the staff in the building. To work at Aster Springs Ohio is to care about the patients by challenging the eating disorders and supporting the person every step of the way. They truly all care so much and all have their own reasons for being in this work. I absolutely gained my life back by choosing to come to Aster Springs Ohio, and I would make the same choice every time. The work of fighting your eating disorder and choosing recovery continues when you walk out of the doors, but you move forward with all the skills, tools, and support learned during your stay in addition to joining the alumni community. If you are struggling, reach out and share your concerns with the admissions staff. I know it made all the difference for me in being able to take steps towards choosing recovery consistently. If you are at Aster Springs, you will not have to struggle with anything alone. Instead of fighting your eating disorder in isolation and secrets, you will be met with a safe space for honesty, support, and healing.

I love Toledo center for eating disorders! The staff were nothing but kind and caring they helped me With everything my therapist kam was incredible my Dietician Emily was incredible worked with me with my meals the nurses were awesome Abby the director of nursing is awesome she was so kind All the other nurses dayrlie Shawn Ashley Courtney were nothing but sweet one of the days I was sick and not feeling well and I got nothing but support from the whole staff! Ovlia the director of toleto center was so kind to me made sure my needs were met and made me feel comfortable giving me my own room because I needed it! They also gave us new beds and dressers and the building is very nice and always clean! My psychiatrist Dr Sadah was nothing but kind and adjusted my meds when needed! Katiyin the miller supervisor was so sweet and so kind we even got to see her dog along with Ovlia dog dolly! I could not ask for a better team they understood my needs! Rebekah the nurse practitioner was so incredible and and caring to make sure we were medically stable and all the RCS were nothing but kind always caring when I needed something they would help me! Thank you to the whole team at TCED I love you guys!!
