They took care of my family member twice, the first time I wasn’t completely impressed by the psychiatrist but the second time it was a new psychiatrist and he was amazing. The whole staff minus one was amazing with my family member who was struggling so much. I couldn’t have picked a better staff to care for him and there was even one nurse that went above and beyond. I also know that this family member had said things that ended up not being real but again they were in a state of psychosis so their reality at the time was real to them until they became more clear headed, took his medication, had food and ate well. It’s easy to be upset about a patients care or “lack of care,” when you do not know the whole picture, but I would refer anyone to this unit because I know they do have quality care and kind hearts. 🥰

I don't know what the negative reviews are talking about. Pines has helped WAY more with a family member than Lifeway's or Segue. They even offer group support for family members that are living with patients. I think it all comes down to: you get out of it what you put into it. Nobody can do the work for you. If you keep showing up, do the things to change your reality, and use the tools you're given in therapy - over time things do change for you. I see a common thread that patients are saying they don't help, my family member says the same. He also wants everyone to do everything for him and I'm not sure he actually wants to get better. If you're looking for help with a family member, this is the place. It took years of struggling & living in hell to finally get help with our family member with his resistance. From an outside perspective & someone that has been in therapy for years, even tried lifeway's myself - Pines offers more than acceptional programs. It's worth the drive. It's all up to the patient's to get what they need from themselves ultimately.

I did my intake/transfer from my muskegon clinic this morning and they were so good to work with and made me comfortable which is something I was worried about. The staff was super nice and professional! I'm excited to see where this next chapter of my sober journey will take me with this facility now! You can tell that they truly care which is more than needed.. If you want to get your life back from addiction and are ready for the change then please stop in there and let them help you. The councilers & Doctor really have empathy for what people are going thru, they don't judge, and help you every step of the way. Was having a mental health crisis due to PTSD. I am very thankful there is a psychiatric urgent care at the Ashland location. Dr. Snyder was amazing and so understanding. Very happy I can start on a road to getting through everything in a more stable way, just needed some help to get started! Would recommend if you have a long wait to get into a doctor for medication. They also set you up with a psychiatrist to manage the meds going forward if you dont already have one. So helpful. ♥️ really grateful this care exists.

Chris in the crisis support unit really went the extra mile to help me. She was on the phone, then came out and met me when I finally made the choice to come in, and gave me some comfort. She was very honest which I really found important, and I'm really glad that I came in. She celebrated the little victories while I had there, and was the one to see me out when I left. Everyone seemed really enjoyable in the CSU and support staff seemed lovely as well. I believe Sarah was the other person I met there, and I really enjoyed how she spoke on my level and it was very calm, and casual, and I liked how the professional getup was gone, it felt very personable and to me that was extremely valuable. The other places I've gone to have been alright, but I'm one of those people who value real person-to-person connection, and my short visit to the crisis unit really helped me out a lot.

This place is great, getting sober is not easy or fun and the only issue I have personally witnessed is that yes; all of thier staff cannot be in recovery or understand us addicts but they truly have made a huge effort to adapt to this new age in which you can get into a rehab basically for free, get decent if not really good food(DFD) and have the chance to.btreak old bad habits etc. Im 39 and when I first tried to get sober at 18 or so it was incredibly difficult to find a rehab that didn't cost 40K. Jail or the streets were your option so remember that these people are getting paid very little yet choose to work here because most of them do care but there are thinhs called HIPPA laws etc and so that takes a toll on certain aspects of how they have to structure thier program. This place and ann arbor will keep you sober and help you recover for better or worse.

ICFR does a fantastic job for our membership in need of assistance, whether it's mental health or addiction rehabilitation, our members have succeeded better than I have experienced with other facilities.
Right at the start the staff does wonderful work, helping our members navigate through their FMLA paperwork, to getting them the help that is needed, I cannot recommend a better facility that truly helps people.
If you're struggling through addiction this facility is a great place for you to learn to live life successfully.

They are actively trying to get the right to practice 'conversion therapy' (which has been proven time and time again to be ineffective and traumatic) on MINORS legally reinstated. Went in for marriage counseling got an intake apt. The councilor named Karen gained our trust and asked to see my husband alone for a few sessions. After 1, session with him she told him verbatim I am mentally abusive and he she leave me because he can do better. How is that professional? The woman literally blew up a 20 years of my life. Do NOT go here. They should lose all federal funding.

I was there at the M.A.T.T.S. Program. They was respectful, helpful, and very patient with rude people.
The people there with children should really keep an on their children, not let them run around.
They help you if you want to help yourself and your family.
They have good meals. The salvation army helps out a lot. They have a social service there that helps you out.
You call and then go up there before 8:30 to see if there is a open bed.

This place was a pivotal part of my recovery journey. I was here twice, once in September 2019 and once in March 2023 (which was my last time in rehab). I’ve been to several different rehabs all over the state and I’ll say this:
Brighton isn’t the nicest facility, they don’t have the best food, but Brighton has THE BEST therapy, therapist, and THERE is where you get some of the most one-on-one time with your therapist. They give you real thoughtful work to do on your own and hold you accountable to change and doing the work if you say you really want it. Their IOP is Amazing and the sessions lead by Mo changed my life. Dudes awesome 👏
Anyway, never a fun experience but 100% would recommend.

I Was a patient here 5 years ago I started drinking at the age of 14 and got into other stuff at 19. I didn't know how to live life without a buffer Brighton gave me the tools to begin the recovery process I am still clean and sober after a horrible detox from barbiturates and Suboxone, I am thankful and grateful everyday that I made the decision to call and ask Brighton for help. Even after being shipped out to the hospital after 2 weeks they let me back in and gave me the tools and advice to start my recovery process.

Too hard to get ahold of the dr when I call it's a headache to get done cause they don't call back in time it's been two days ago I'm still waiting for phone call back to get my meds why is that? Makes me wanna walk away from the meds and not take em and stay untreated I guess til you make the call and do your job I guess

Kirsten is the best therapist I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen many over the years and in a year Kirsten helped me more than anyone else. I owe a lot of my sobriety to her and she held ne accountable even when i didn’t want it. I’m almost 2 years sober and Milford counseling was a huge part. It is so excellent now, they have the best staff that you can imagine, they have a ex military medic as a doctor, this guy is as good as they can get , the staff will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and like a family, they run 4 classes a day all designed to give you the tools to remain sober. I just got out and wanted a bottle of whiskey, I said nope...
