*Editing to add that I continued this care with Dr. Streeter, who is the best! I have been stable for 19 months and counting! Was having a mental health crisis due to PTSD. I am very thankful there is a psychiatric urgent care at the Ashland location. Dr. Snyder was amazing and so understanding. Very happy I can start on a road to getting through everything in a more stable way, just needed some help to get started! Would recommend if you have a long wait to get into a doctor for medication. They also set you up with a psychiatrist to manage the meds going forward if you dont already have one. So helpful. ♥️ really grateful this care exists.

I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude for the incredible support I received from Unison. After experiencing an accident, I had to join a program while also managing communication with the court — a very stressful time in my life. Thankfully, my consultant Chyna was with me every step of the way. She went above and beyond, offering guidance, encouragement, and all the resources I needed. I also want to recognize Mrs. Gaston, whose warmth and kindness lifted me during one of my lowest moments. Her support made a huge difference, and I’ll never forget the role she played in helping me through. I’m currently working with Bruce, and he’s been great — professional, understanding, and consistent. Thank you to everyone at Unison. Your dedication and compassion truly changed my life. Making the choice to call the Aster Springs Ohio admissions team, do an assessment, and accept their recommendation was not easy. I was scared and thought there was no hope. My wonderful admissions resource, Renessa, was so helpful in guiding me every step of the way by answering all my questions, challenging my ED’s fears about treatment, and encouraging me. I would not have been able to make this choice without her advocacy and support. When you walk through the doors, you are met with some of the kindest people you will ever come across in this field, and sometimes they even come out to the parking lot to help you not have to walk through the doors alone. They all genuinely care about this work and will do everything they can to help you on your journey. The staff is phenomenal from maintenance, RCS’s, Nurses, the Clinical staff and Dietitians to Leadership. While in treatment, you build great rapport with your treatment team, especially the more honest you are with them, but you also connect so much with all the staff in the building. To work at Aster Springs Ohio is to care about the patients by challenging the eating disorders and supporting the person every step of the way. They truly all care so much and all have their own reasons for being in this work. I absolutely gained my life back by choosing to come to Aster Springs Ohio, and I would make the same choice every time. The work of fighting your eating disorder and choosing recovery continues when you walk out of the doors, but you move forward with all the skills, tools, and support learned during your stay in addition to joining the alumni community. If you are struggling, reach out and share your concerns with the admissions staff. I know it made all the difference for me in being able to take steps towards choosing recovery consistently. If you are at Aster Springs, you will not have to struggle with anything alone. Instead of fighting your eating disorder in isolation and secrets, you will be met with a safe space for honesty, support, and healing.

Social workers are great, therapists are great, nurse practitioners are great, this review is more for HEGIRA in general but their psych doctors are all disrespectful.will talk down to you, judge you from the very beginning, at least that's my experience with each new doctor I see and location I go to. They see I am prescribed Suboxone (have been for 5 plus years) and try to take me off of my psych meds I've been on for five years or longer.yes, one is a controlled substance but ive heard so many reasons why they won't or can't continue me on my medicine that I know works because I've been told multiple times completely different stories.it took years to find the right cocktail that works for me.only by the prescribing doctors do I ever have anything to complain about.i don't usually leave reviews for anything unless it's something I love or it's a genuine problem.i know plenty of people who are prescribed incredibly unnecessary amounts of drugs, or people with the same or similar combination I am on and don't have the problem i am having. opioid crisis I get it but not everyone taking them is abusing them.is the only way I'm going to get the same meds I've always been on by going to a shrink where I have to pay? I've seen plenty of doctors who weren't psych doctors but would still give me my psych meds with my Suboxone, yes things are different now more strict, but over the last two and a half years of trying to find a shrink to get my stuff from the right doctor , I haven't had a psych prescribe my psych meds to me In almost three years. My PCP and my Suboxone doctor help me by writing them as long as I show them I am trying to get in somewhere. So if it's perfectly fine for the doctors who really shouldn't be giving benzos scripts to me (psych meds were originally started from actual psychiatrist in the beginning) why in the EFF will absolutely no one help me?!?

I just want to say how incredibly grateful I am for the care I received at the veteran clinic yesterday. 05/27/25 I had accidentally left my effexor in another city and hadn’t taken it in three days (please don’t EVER do this!), I was a complete wreck, both physically and emotionally. I rushed to the clinic in a bad state, and even though they were clearly understaffed, everyone treated me with such compassion and urgency. I especially want to thank the pharmacy tech working at the desk by the windows. I was crying, struggling, and deep in withdrawal symptoms, but she never once made me feel judged or invalidated. she was kind, patient, and truly went above and beyond to help me get what I needed. her empathy meant everything to me in that moment. I also want to shout out the woman who helped with registration. she was calm, efficient, and kind, which really helped ease some of my anxiety. I left that clinic feeling heard, cared for, and supported. thank you so much to the team for taking care of us!!!!

I went to the farm and stayed for a little over 3 months. The treatment duration is determined by the therapists. The shortest duration I saw was 2 1/2 months. Longest I saw was 4 months but most do around 90 days. I had moments I really loved the farm, and others where I felt like I hated it. Their rules are really strict and you’re there for a while. However, it did work for me. It was a long journey. I got yelled at for breaking rules, for sleeping in, and absolutely resented waking up early every morning to do work duties. Definitely cried a few times. By day 50 I was like “get me the heck out of here” but had months to go. But every time I got upset, I’d sleep on it and always decided to stay. Now I’m much better. I can wake up for an actual job early without a problem. I have more self control, more friends, more support, I try to follow the rules in real life situations, try to be a good person, and have a much more rewarding life overall. The Farm is really challenging but it does actually work if you listen to them and do what they tell you to do and don’t fight it. It’s hard to follow their schedule and rules every day for so long, but it just might change your life.

My son has been going here for several months now, if it wasn't for this place and their wonderful staff, I might have never known the abuse his father did to him and his little brother behind my back. It took him almost 2 years to come forward about all the abuse him and his brother endured at the hands of their father, it was heartbreaking as their mother to know such evil was living under the same roof. I asked him many times if he wanted to see his father, his answer was always no. Now i know why his answer was always no. Great place to help kids deal with abuse and trauma. I went to the Emergency at Flower Hospital after getting dizzy and breaking my fall at home. I’m 70 and never had such an episode. The staff from my arrival to discharge were amazing. Marie in ER was fantastic and witnessed a dizzy episode I was experiencing. She immediately notified the Nurse Practitioner and the additional Test. The first Doctor I met in the ER got me some more warm blankets and made a good wrap around my legs and feet. After consulting with another doctor my daughter agreed with the doctor that I should be admitted. I went to room 717 for overnight observation. Oh my the staff just continued their friendly, professional and efficient way of caring for me. I’m like do they have cameras watching them. They took their time introduced themselves and their positions. They explained how test results would be given to the house doctor who would consult with a neurologist. It’s about 3:30 and I can’t remember the one nurse’s name but she has 2 children. My daughter was saying something about my 5&6 yr old grand children, she shared with my daughter about her kids to make my daughter feel comfortable. She the explained it was important for me to eat and gave her instructions on how to order from the menu. It’s room service style just like a hotel, oh my. I ordered grill chicken Alfredo with onions and mushrooms. A side salad, 2 oatmeal raisin cookies and a fruit cup. It came in about 35 min.and was delicious and the salad was so fresh. I’m not one to call the nurse often but when did they responded and always said that’s what we’re here for. Discharged went smoothly everything was explained by house doctor and nurse. I was told I would be discharged around 11am. I asked if I could eat breakfast and was told most definitely, we would never send you home hungry. I realize Flower is a smaller hospital but the and efficiency of the entire staff and service can compete with any other hospital big or small. I would like to humbly thank everyone with my care and discharge.

Life Stance is amazing. I was seeking talk therapy to address years of trauma that had been suppressed and wanted real professionalism. I found that and more through Ms. N. Jemison and Ms. K. Boylston. Two phenomenal women who listened effectively and weren't judgemental as my previous counselor was. I asked for spiritually grounded, understanding, and compassionate people who would relate to my experiences. I have formed a tight bond between the two and after the first couple of visits, it became as if I were talking to my best friends. They've assisted me through grief, after the loss of my mom and brother, identity theft and all of the lives that I was instrumental in helping transition to the Lord, via hospice. I would encourage anyone who is truly honest with themselves and are struggling with life challenges and and changes to seek assistance with Life Stance, it will help you heal.
