I’m from North Carolina and had to go to the emergency room. Who ever was working on July 11th 2026 between 2AM to 6 AM was absolutely amazing! From the front desk, to the nurses and to the drs. I have never had great experience at hospitals, I never go unless it is absolute necessary. I really want to thank the ultra sound tech lady for going above and beyond, taking the time. Today I had my laparoscopic surgery at home and I have exactly what she said she thinks I have (I never even mentioned the condition to her or the drs). After YEARS of excruciating pain, YEARS being dismissed by drs about this certain condition , that ultrasound sound tech lady referred me and I was able to get my foot in the door to be checked. I can’t thank her and the staff enough. I wish I could remember her name. I wanted to thank her and all the staff. Hopefully this review reaches her. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. Highly recommend this hospital. They are all so quick, kind and actually listened.

I've had a truly rough experience with my psychiatrist, Dr bagga, and I wasn't able to get placed into therapy. HOWEVER, my case manager has been an absolute lifesaver. She's there for support, has helped me find ways to find more affordable housing, helped me find food when I had nothing to eat, referred me to many great programs and outside therapists. And when I had nobody else, my case manager provided somebody (herself) as somebody to talk to like when my therapist is out of town, but I had a bad situation happening. I really respect and look up to my case manager

She donated food clothes and helped me out when I was in need. Don't take kindness for weakness though if you pull up with bad energy? I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude for the incredible support I received from Unison. After experiencing an accident, I had to join a program while also managing communication with the court — a very stressful time in my life. Thankfully, my consultant Chyna was with me every step of the way. She went above and beyond, offering guidance, encouragement, and all the resources I needed. I also want to recognize Mrs. Gaston, whose warmth and kindness lifted me during one of my lowest moments. Her support made a huge difference, and I’ll never forget the role she played in helping me through. I’m currently working with Bruce, and he’s been great — professional, understanding, and consistent. Thank you to everyone at Unison. Your dedication and compassion truly changed my life. I appreciate each and every one of you.

I graduated from Aster Springs over three months ago, but I’m just doing this now. ASOH is a lovely place. The staff is beyond lovely. The biggest shout out to all of the RCS. They are absolutely amazing. They work so hard to make sure we're all doing okay. They're very accepting of constructive criticism. I do think that coming here saved my life and paved a path for the future. Six months ago, I didn't think recovery was possible, I thought everyone was faking it, but now, I can confidently say that recovery is possible. ❤️pp graphite Here's something I wrote on my last night in res: Treatment has been one of the best things for me. Three months ago, I was a shell of a human. I don't recognize the person she was. And I don't want to. She was miserable and just didn't know it yet. I was the girl who argued this was fun. But when I went to treatment, a whole new world opened up for me. I had the chance to be seen by people who not only understood me, but understood how to help. I had the chance to learn, to grow, and to make mistakes. For the longest time, I was in and out of behaviors, trying to fight the process. But one day, I stopped fighting it. So what if I eat food? So what if I don't look like I want? Who cares? You only live this life once, why spend it flirting with death? That's the type of shit I hated hearing, but now? These are things I can not only say, but believe. I never wanted to get better. I never wanted to come here, but I did. I did and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Everyone thinks residential is some scary place where they force food down your throat and all the clients stab each other in the back whenever they can, but it doesn't have to be that way. I learned how to make friends. I made the strongest connections with the sweetest people who hurt just as deeply as I did. We talked, we joked, we laughed, we held each other accountable, and we cried when they left. Your support system is so important. If you can't do it for yourself yet, do it for those in the milieu. Listen to the staff, listen to your therapists. They gave me my life back. When I look back now, I don't understand myself. I don't understand the girl who wanted nothing more than to shrink. That's not living. I wasn't living. I was dying. I just didn't want to admit it, even at my sickest. I don't know why I thought that was the only way life could be. Life is so much more than that when food isn't the enemy or when food isn't your only way of communication. I never thought I could do it. I never thought I could get better. I never thought I'd leave the cycle. But I did. I'm not done recovering. I still have a long way to go. Maybe I will never stop recovering. But that doesn't sound so scary anymore. It really doesn't. I'll always have thoughts, but now I know what it's like to have something good in life. There's more to life than suffering. And that's beautiful. I never thought I'd get the point that I'm at today. But I did. I have made so many friends, learned so many things, and had so many amazing experiences. So, I'm sitting here, the night before I leave residential, crying. Not crying because I'm sad or upset, but crying because I'll miss this place. The experiences, both good and bad, my friends who I will miss dearly, and the staff that coached me and comforted me. While leaving may be scary and I'm leaving so much behind, the biggest thing I'm leaving behind is my eating disorder. And that's powerful. Seeing myself three months ago, I did the impossible. I'm leaving Residential. And while there are many mixed emotions, the most important, I'm feeling hopeful. I'm feeling confident that everything will be okay, and food really isn't as bad as it might seem. So take it from me, or don't. That's your choice. But you know what else is your choice? Recovery. And recovery IS possible. For anyone, whether you believe it or not. I didn't believe I could recover, I wasn't even sure if. I wanted to. But look at where I am now. I'm doing the impossible, because maybe "impossible" isn't as hard as I thought it would be.

I cannot express how much this place has done for me in the past few months. Aster Springs Ohio, doesn't just heal you externally, but also deep down internally. The facility itself is so welcoming. There are comfy chairs, sofas, and beds that make you feel right at home. And when you feel homesick, your treatment team and the staff will try anything to make you feel better. There are connection calls you can make at night, and every week there's some kind of outing, such as the library or the movies. When I first came, my expectations were extremely low, but for my first residential program, I was pleasantly surprised. Unlike some other programs, Aster Springs focuses on community and branching out to others for guidance, instead of the primary focus of restoration. I will say this: the food here is very tasty. I recommend the hot pastrami sandwich as well as one of the DCS's homemade pizzas. I love how in Aster Springs, everyone has a say in what they want, and you will never be unacknowledged. All of the DCS staff and RCS staff are very pleasant to talk to, especially when you are feeling low one day and your treatment team isn't available. Another thing I love about Aster Springs is the diversity of treatment from adolescents to adults. As an adolescent client, I felt like the treatment was guided towards teens, and the adult treatment was guided towards adults. I admit, hyping yourself up to go to residential isn't the easiest thing, but Aster Springs is so worth it. Recovery is so worth it. I am grateful for how they make you focus on recovery, and not numbers, by covering up labels and things like that. Whoever needs a supportive, caring, inclusive, specialized, and talented community to support their recovery, Aster Springs Ohio, is the way to go. Shoutout to Dietitian Trish and Therapist Kam for being the best treatment team ever, and helping me when things got rough. And thanks to all the DCS staff, especially you, Elena, for making such preferred food and making me smile. Thanks to Kelsey for hosting the most amazing groups, and thanks to Abbey and all the nursing staff for making sure that we're all comfortable during this process. Lastly, thank you to the entire Aster Springs staff for healing the part of me I didn't know was possible, and I would definitely recommend this facility! (past patient #thatpower)

Social workers are great, therapists are great, nurse practitioners are great, this review is more for HEGIRA in general but their psych doctors are all disrespectful.will talk down to you, judge you from the very beginning, at least that's my experience with each new doctor I see and location I go to. They see I am prescribed Suboxone (have been for 5 plus years) and try to take me off of my psych meds I've been on for five years or longer.yes, one is a controlled substance but ive heard so many reasons why they won't or can't continue me on my medicine that I know works because I've been told multiple times completely different stories.it took years to find the right cocktail that works for me.only by the prescribing doctors do I ever have anything to complain about.i don't usually leave reviews for anything unless it's something I love or it's a genuine problem.i know plenty of people who are prescribed incredibly unnecessary amounts of drugs, or people with the same or similar combination I am on and don't have the problem i am having. opioid crisis I get it but not everyone taking them is abusing them.is the only way I'm going to get the same meds I've always been on by going to a shrink where I have to pay? I've seen plenty of doctors who weren't psych doctors but would still give me my psych meds with my Suboxone, yes things are different now more strict, but over the last two and a half years of trying to find a shrink to get my stuff from the right doctor , I haven't had a psych prescribe my psych meds to me In almost three years. My PCP and my Suboxone doctor help me by writing them as long as I show them I am trying to get in somewhere. So if it's perfectly fine for the doctors who really shouldn't be giving benzos scripts to me (psych meds were originally started from actual psychiatrist in the beginning) why in the EFF will absolutely no one help me?!?

This center has questionable front staff who laugh at others' misery, but their psychiatrists and nurse practitioners are getting better at listening to patients... 🤷‍♂️

My son has been going here for several months now, if it wasn't for this place and their wonderful staff, I might have never known the abuse his father did to him and his little brother behind my back. It took him almost 2 years to come forward about all the abuse him and his brother endured at the hands of their father, it was heartbreaking as their mother to know such evil was living under the same roof. I asked him many times if he wanted to see his father, his answer was always no. Now i know why his answer was always no. Great place to help kids deal with abuse and trauma. I really wish family court judges would stop putting kids with their abusers.

My daughter had an EEG recently. The technician Megan was very kind, she explained things very well and provided excellent care! Elizabeth was very friendly, thoughtful and gave my daughter a bottle of water so I wouldn't have to run out to my vehicle to get one. Thank you both for the exceptional service!
