I was here for 78 days could’ve been 71 but I got extended for something I didn’t do it was very understandable but overwhelming. My stay was very bitter sweet I loveeee love loveeee the staff and the girls I had there with me Omgg I will FORVER have this place in my heart. This place has taught me a ton of things i wouldn't have learned if I never went here. It took me about 3 weeks to adjust to the new environment but after that I kinda loved it I definitely wouldn’t do it again! But I miss this place a lot I really really do I wanna go back and spend just one more day lol 😭🫶🏼

I went here when I was an adolescent I think when I was around 16, I’m 21 now. Growing up I didn’t go to a lot of humane treatment centers when I think back on my time here though it was awesome. The food was great I was never hungry we went on field trips and got outside often. It was so fun here it felt like summer camp but in a therapeutic way. I hope it’s the same since I went there. Thank you guys.

Best treatment center out of five places in 21 years. It’s rustic in the middle of nowhere. The STAFF is amazing and actually touched on trauma codependency control and actually did the work. And I can’t sleep. I’m home in my apartment. I went to four meetings today. I’m struggling. I’m sober. I’m struggling real life real shit and I am so forever grateful for new beginnings. this place was great and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. they worked with my other advocates which other inpatients i’ve been placed at have failed to do often for me. it’s not the most fun of inpatients, but it’s overall a good place to get treatment and i’d recommend this inpatient way more than many of the other inpatients i’ve been to. no judgement, much assistance, and very good people that work there. thank you all !!

I started treatment for severe PTSD, anxiety, and depression during covid-19 lockdowns. I initially wanted to be evaluated for any diagnosis, and then the woman interviewing me recommended me to Ms. Morris.
She saw me for maybe a year? Or a bit longer. Absolutely wonderful woman to work with, extremely thorough, and listened to what I needed to say.
I really appreciate that the woman who saw me for my evaluation knew who to direct me to. I think that's an extremely important thing for healthcare providers to be able to do; acknowledge that their patient might not be someone they can treat, and then direct them to the right provider who can.

Burkwood is an amazing place. Their staff truly care and are so rich of information to share about addiction, recovery, and real life. They’re are meant for their jobs. I’ve learned so much while I was there. I valued the daily book we filled out on our own, fully engaging and eye opening. I was lucky to have Pete as my counselor. His approach was thorough and helpful. My only complaint is that it was crowded there and access to phones, bathrooms, and laundry was a bit tricky but maybe that will change at some point. My time at Burkwood was amazing, to say the least. The staff were great and it truly is up to you if you want this place to help you! Take what you can from it and be grateful. Reading some of these horrible reviews is crazy to me! It’s not a vacation - for a treatment center it’s pretty damn nice! The classes do get a little monotonous, but for the most part were engaging and helpful. My counselor Derek was the absolute best and the RAs Diane, William, Kristin, Aidan and Ashley were genuine and helpful. They are heavily rooted in AA which I thought I would hate at first, but if you’re just open-minded and listen to what speaks to you it’s not too shabby. They helped me set up IOP and sober living after and I’m enjoying the beginning of my sober life thus far. Thank you Burkwood ❤️

CEDAR RIDGE is an essential reason in my return to recovery. Staff; welcoming, skilled, and confident; crucially needed in spite of the COVID pandemic during my brief time there.
