I walked these halls 10 years ago. Tim Helmek (I forgot if that’s correct spelling) saved my life with what he taught me. I didn’t stay sober that then but when the time came I knew what to do to stay sober because of him. Just celebrated 7.5 years. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

My last stay at Hazelden Plymouth was about 2.5 years ago, when I was 17. At first, I was nervous and resentful of my parents for sending me there but I’m glad they did. The facility was amazing (and the food was great too). My psychologist, David Wells, was very educated and helped me make real progress. My counselors, Joanne and Denise, were exactly what I needed. I overdosed on fentanyl three times before coming here, and without Hazelden I truly don’t think I’d be alive today. I’m now 2.5 years sober, and the education and support I received at Hazelden continues to help me in other parts of my life. I’m very grateful for my time here and highly recommend Hazelden to anyone who needs help.

I finished up the year-long DBT class with Madi and Jess as the instructors, and this program really changed my life. I know it sounds corny, but when I came in I couldn't tell you the difference between anger and disgust, but now I can clearly describe my emotions and communicate effectively with people without shutting down or shutting off.
The skills I learned has helped me in my marriage, my job, and improved my relationships with others.
This hidden gem of a class needs a bigger wait list, it's that good.
I would encourage anyone who is struggling, with whatever it may be, to reach out to this place and get engaged in your mental health. You'll thank yourself later.

I can’t say enough good things about Nystrom & Associates and their DBT program. When I started, I was struggling with emotional regulation, relationships, and feeling overwhelmed by daily life. The structure of the DBT program, along with the support from the compassionate and knowledgeable therapists, truly changed my life.
The combination of individual therapy with Madi and skills group with Madi and Jess gave me the tools I needed to navigate stress, set healthy boundaries, and manage my emotions in a more balanced way. I finally feel like I have a roadmap for how to cope in a healthier, more effective way and that’s something I hadn’t found in other therapy settings.
The environment at Nystrom is welcoming and nonjudgmental. I always felt safe to be honest and to grow. If you're on the fence about starting DBT, I highly recommend it here. It's hard work, but it works and I’m so grateful I took that first step.

Anoka, Minnesota | Transformation House - North Ferry Street is a rehab facility in Anoka, Minnesota. This residential center provides care for adults who have substance abuse and alcohol issues. They also provide a descaling program so you can transfer to outpatient, recovery housing | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I can't say enough good things about Transformation House. My experience here was a night and day difference from my previous treatment center. My counselor was incredible – so empathetic and understanding, which made it easier to be honest and work through things. The entire staff genuinely cares about your well-being. It's clear they're not just going through the motions.
What I appreciated most was that they focused on helping me find the right path forward, even after I left. The outpatient program they connected me with was fantastic. Today, I'm proud to say I've graduated, I'm in college, I have a job, and most importantly, I have my kids back in my life.
My advice to anyone going to Transformation House is to be honest with yourself and your counselor, and truly commit to the process. Stop making excuses and put in the work – they will meet you where you are and provide the support you need. I also built some strong connections with the other women there. The staff creates a supportive environment, but ultimately, your willingness to change is key. Transformation House truly changed my life, and I'm incredibly grateful for how far I've come.

I just stopped in, on 4/30/25 @ 340pm. I only needed a blood lab. The front desk confirmed I was there for blood work, I said yes. I sat down, and was immediately called back. The lab Woman, can't remember her name but she was in maroon scrubs, dark longer hair, white, and super nice! My veins are hard to get to often requires many pokes, even by awesome lab techs! She did it so I didn't feel a thing! She said she used a baby needle because of my veins. It was awwwweeessoommee! Though she thought I had urine order , which there is an order, but when I checked in at the front desk, she made no mention of it. My provider and I decided this urine was not needed. So the lab tech will cancel that order. 5 stars for the lab! Sorry that all the other reviews suck on the page. I go to Brooklyn Park or Fridley, for my actual Dr appts. Ooh! Well if your really trying to get clean and sober it’s a start you just have to be a self motivated individual and stay away from the bull because it’s easy to become apart of the daily B.S. of fake it to you make it you do get exactly what you put in to it if you put nothing into you your sobriety you will not get anything out of it and if your just looking for a place to rest over the winter not recommended by me because you will not last long because you probably will be using and this is a cold hard fact someone will tell on you and you will be tested and discharged I’ve seen it all in the two years that I lived there and there is not a daily routine other that the chore that you are assigned which is when you get there and it is an unpaid chore however to do receive I believe it is 102.00 every month on the first of the month and after 30 days of an unpaid job you can sign up for a paid job which I think you can receive up to 65 dollars extra a month in your pocket and the rest goes on your books until you Successfully discharge or the lesser unsuccessful discharge either way you will receive you money on your book and you will receive a free cab ride to your destination if discharged day or night unless you have your own vehicle or call a friend or family member to come pick you up this is not the hangout or a good place to pick women or a man up remember there just as sick as you are dealing with an addiction and need to focus on their recovery I’ve seen so many walk through those door and because one may think it a joke or because you can take up to 20 days a month and most of us think we can or this is the right time to get drunk or get high because no one will know anything but it always comes out in an action or something else that you shouldn’t play with your sobriety it’s not a good feeling when your asked to leave and you don’t get a fair time to explain your side because this place Mission Lodge is a Co-Ed facility for men and women their more for women than men so watch out for yourself now all of the staff in not against you or look down on you however there are some who may or may not care for you and will tell lies to get you discharged for personal reason and who will Retaliate against you which is against facility policies However you can come back this with going to the director and truly they will take a look at it and staff member will be reprimanded that’s when the retaliation comes about and they will pick on you do any little thing and they will try to get you discharge but overall places in a bad place if you really have a substance-abuse problem try it out if you don’t I wouldn’t waste your time because you will be discharged personal opinion
