Choosing to go to Newport Institute in Monticello, MN was one of the hardest — and best — decisions I’ve ever made. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was in a space where healing was not only possible but expected. The staff truly care and go above and beyond to meet each person where they’re at, with compassion, structure, and an understanding that recovery isn't linear. What stood out to me the most was how personalized everything was. The treatment wasn’t cookie-cutter. My team actually listened — to my story, my needs, and even the things I wasn’t able to say yet. From individual therapy and group work to experiential therapies and life skills, every piece felt intentional and supportive. The environment itself also contributed so much to my healing. It’s peaceful, clean, and feels more like a safe home than a hospital. I also formed some of the most meaningful connections with peers — people who understood what I was going through and were walking beside me in the journey. Of course, healing doesn’t end when you leave, but Newport gave me tools, insight, and strength that I still carry with me. I walked out with more self-awareness, better coping strategies, and, most importantly, hope. If you or someone you love is struggling, I truly believe Newport can be a life-changing place!

Transformation House - North Ferry Street is a rehab facility in Anoka, Minnesota. This residential center provides care for adults who have substance abuse and alcohol issues. Traditional therapy and education classes are provided to help improve your health. They also provide a descaling program so you can transfer to outpatient, recovery housing
I can't say enough good things about Transformation House. My experience here was a night and day difference from my previous treatment center. My counselor was incredible – so empathetic and understanding, which made it easier to be honest and work through things. The entire staff genuinely cares about your well-being. It's clear they're not just going through the motions. What I appreciated most was that they focused on helping me find the right path forward, even after I left. The outpatient program they connected me with was fantastic. Today, I'm proud to say I've graduated, I'm in college, I have a job, and most importantly, I have my kids back in my life. My advice to anyone going to Transformation House is to be honest with yourself and your counselor, and truly commit to the process. Stop making excuses and put in the work – they will meet you where you are and provide the support you need. I also built some strong connections with the other women there. The staff creates a supportive environment, but ultimately, your willingness to change is key. Transformation House truly changed my life, and I'm incredibly grateful for how far I've come.

I love that they had therapy appointments available within 2 days of my call and was also able to schedule another appointment the next week same time. I have been to other clinics like ACP and private practices. It's unheard of to get a therapy session this fast, even my general doctor told me there is a long wait for getting therapy. To me, being there when I really need the help, not 5 weeks out, made all the difference in the world. I had a video session with Tiffany and found her to be very supportive and kind while collecting my first appointment info. She made me feel comfortable explaining how she approaches therapy - woven into my responses. It felt very reciprocal and reassuring.

I would definitely recommend New Beginnings in Waverly to anyone. My guess is 9 out of 10 people have a great experience. Theres no were to walk, run, or jog to get a bottle of booze. ...about Fairview Health Services. Someone close to me was struggling with alcoholism for years. After numerous DUIs and domestics had ran this person through nearly a dozen rounds of various extensive and intensive treatments and programming over a course of 15 years. They never stayed sober. Then one day after once again losing another family and concerned about the possibility of more criminal charges and getting caught up in a lengthy legal situationship this person decided they must overcome chemical independency once and for all. Before the family was even done packing to leave for good nd before any cop call or legal action initiated, the memory of another persons great testimony of Fairview came to mind and in no time the call was made to begin the process of getting help and committing to serious change- long term sobriety. Long story short the stay was quite comfortable and there was good food and plenty of it. Staff was knowledgably, even well 'experienced' themselves! lol! They began to look at their chemical dependency and its horrible effects on others rather than/much more-so than the consequences on self, such as jail, probation, fines, restitution and an overwhelming amount of classes, groups and treatments. This persons eyes were opened during the self admitted treatment at Fairview and in that, their remorse dove in to a desire to learn how to live free from chemicals in order to never again risk harming or God forbid killing others due to a selfish decision to drink or use. This person was never able to sober up if their own life counted on it let alone consider others but today thanks to fairview it has be several years without relapse this person and their use has not been a risk to others nor themself. Thanks Fairview for showing this person- even in a sense GIVING this person a new life.

I want to share my extremely positive experience with Kristen Metcalf, PA-C. After a very difficult and discouraging day dealing with other clinics, I came to Fairview feeling anxious, exhausted, and honestly a bit hopeless. Kristen changed everything. She treated me with genuine respect, patience, and kindness. She listened carefully, took my symptoms seriously, and never rushed me. For the first time today, I felt heard and understood. She provided clear medical explanations, validated my concerns, and helped me finally get the documentation I needed regarding my asthma flare and recent illness. The letter she wrote for me was thorough, professional, and thoughtfully worded. It reflected real care for the patient’s situation—not just “checking boxes,” but truly supporting me. Because of her compassion and professionalism, I have decided to make Kristen my new primary care provider moving forward. I am deeply grateful for her empathy and her dedication. If you are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely cares about patients, I highly recommend Kristen Metcalf, PA-C.

Dr. Stacy Hockett, I want you to know that when I got COVID and my physical health was deteriorating, and I was losing weight rapidly due to the post-COVID and COVID symptoms that I still currently have, no other doctor had ever helped me or offered their hand and service while I was struggling and feeling afraid that I would continue to deteriorate and my health would spiral downward, and I felt like I had no ability to control it. All other doctors and physicians outside of Fairview, such as Allina Health, failed me. But when I made the choice to see Dr. Stacy Hockett, I had never, ever made a better choice in my life. This doctor is absolutely amazing. Not only is he patient, kind, merciful, and humanistic, but he is also very good at solving problems. He has been with me through thick and thin, and I refuse to see another provider other than him for my most concerning health needs. He’s always been prompt with getting back to me, he is lightning-fast in his responses, and he makes me feel heard, protected, and safe. I’ve never really had the pleasure of saying this to a doctor while also admiring the passion that he puts into his work, the empathy that he has for people, and the hard work that he has done for me to make me feel whole, safe, and heard. He has never dismissed me; he’s always been nice, kind, and supportive. Never has he said no to me regarding my concerns and my grievances about my health. He has always opted to solve any condition that I have vigorously, not batting an eye when it comes to serving his patients. He is a great, admirable doctor. I would advise anyone who is struggling mentally or physically, especially with COVID symptoms, to seek help from Dr. Stacy Hockett. You will never regret this decision in your life. It’s been years that I’ve been seeing him, and I will never change primary care doctors. I trust in the integrity of his work, and he has made this place a wonderful place because of his work ethic, his honesty, and his respect for privacy. I wish him all the luck, all the peace, all the wealth, and all the happiness that the world can give this person, because he has brought me nothing except peace and happiness. He has made me a better person, because if it weren’t for his help, I would still be stagnant, weak, and feeling crippled. He has changed my life forever and left a meaningful impact, and if he didn’t know this, he knows it now. From the years since he first helped me to today, he has always been the person that I have most deeply appreciated, and I will always admire him. He will always have a special place in my heart for how he treated me with kindness, compassion, and mercy, never dismissing me. I pray you are always protected, Dr. Stacy Hockett. Fairview Please raise his pay, please keep him in your network; I love Fairview but I love Dr Stacy more; If he leaves I’ll switch networks. That’s the lasting impression he leaves on patients. Please know how much respect his patients like me have. He’s the best and may god always continue to elevate him. Thank you for protecting me when I was at my lowest when no one else did. I’ll never forget you.

Dr. John B Rogers (Orthopedic Surgeon) was very informative, explained my medical condition very well, was thorough explaining the diagnosis of my xray. He answered all my questions and gave me several options and the risks involved with each option. I feel very confident in his skills to perform the surgery we had discussed on my hand.

After going through some negative situations at other locations Christine M. Jensen at this location has truly been a breath of fresh air along with her nurse which I believe her name is Kristen. (I’m so sorry if I got that wrong) This doctor and her care team are so compassionate and kind. They treat you like actual human beings instead of another number walking through the doors. I have never felt so heard or cared for before. I wish there were a million of her at every location, because if there were healthcare would be an entirely different and positive experience. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. I hope everyone who reads this gives her a chance.

4 stars because I can’t speak on the ER department, but I received my first iron infusion on 12/09 in the infusion center of the hospital and had a wonderful experience. The nurses made sure I was comfortable and they were very nice. 10/10 recommend getting any infusion here.

I've had a few really great experiences at Mercy, as well as my husband. Most recent was a trip to the ER after consulting with a triage nurse, the ER would have the scans and technology I needed. Was admitted into a room right away (8am on a Thurs) and Dr was in within minutes. The nurses took great care to check on me often and connect me to an IV and started pushing pain meds for my symptoms. Turned out I needed surgery and the doctor that came to brief me in it explained all options as well as risks and possible outcomes. We decided on a plan of action on advance and now I'm 5 weeks post op and healed perfectly. The pre-op nurses were amazing as well as the post-op nurses. Almost the highlights of my unfortunate trip to the hospital... I wish I remembered their names.

I didn’t get to tell nurse Brandon (I really hope that’s his name, lol) how grateful I was/am for his incredible bedside manner and gentle/silly ways made me very calm and I felt respected/nurtured. I was in and out of consciousness because I was recovering from surgery…But every time I ‘woke up’ I was excited to see him! He made it feel like I was waking up to chat with my new best friend. So somebody pls make sure Brandon (if that’s his name 😝) sees this. He’s a nurse in the post op recovery area. I was apprehensive based on the reviews of having surgery here, but I trusted my surgeons and everything went great. The anesthesiologist took significant time with me to calm all of my agitation and nerves around being intubated again. Overall it was a great experience. Giving just 4 stars bc my pre op nurse was very rigid and completely lacked any bedside manner. I felt like a number to her.

I don’t know why all the negative reviews or what happened to MLRC since my I stayed here but I just celebrated 22 years clean and could not have done it without my 7mnths here. We had brotherhood, my counselor Chris believed in me helped me get set up for when I would be leaving and go back home to NY. I owe my recovery and success in life to this facility.

I was in this place for around 3-5 months. I experienced lotta things and have been to many treatments before and l have never actually seen workers care bout they clients like these workers do. I seen lotta guys talk bad about stuff cause they don’t get their way. I really thought l didn’t learned nothing from this place but l actually did. I got put into the situations of using again and yes l relapse but l was also able to stop from letting myself go to deep into addiction cause of the skills l learned from this place. You can’t really get help and better your self if you ain’t really want the help to better yourself. I miss this place place and the nice & funny stuff. My fav stuff was always Paul😃this a good place but l keep seeing angry people commenting bad bout this place and tbh l think they just doing that cause they didn’t get their way😅oh and btw lm 8 months sober now & also l wanna thank Ashley and everyone in this place that helped and thought me the skills l needed to maintain sober🙂l hope everyone is doing good👍
