Reading these reviews make me sad, i know it is probably a lot of teens who are mad they got sent to the hospital. i have been to Hampstead unfortunately over a handful of times and the staff there were some of the most kind and caring people. maybe not all but the ones who were made a huge impact in my life, im in my 20s now. i usually don’t leave reviews but i feel i had to as its not fair to the amazing people who genuinely care for the kids in the mental health units. Briefly stayed at Hampstead Hospital as a teenager suffering from depression and anxiety. There was a lack of privacy compared to other psych hospitals I’ve stayed at. For example shared bedrooms and bathroom doors that had to stay partially open (even though it was a co-ed unit). However I found the stay to be overall much more comfortable than other hospitals. The staff were kind and interactive with us, something that’s so important but often overlooked in psychiatric healthcare. The group’s were helpful and relevant. The food was great, going to the cafeteria for meals was always nice.

Green Mountain Treatment Center saved my life. I was sick and scared when I arrived, but the transformation that occurred for me during the 80 days I spent on the mountain was nothing short of a miracle.
I quickly recognized that hard work on my part needed to be done, or I'd be miserable and missing out on the gifts of the program. Thankfully, there is an incredible staff in place who walked with me through the introspection I had to do and showed me that recovery was possible. I marked 5 months sober yesterday and I truly believe that God removed my alcoholic obsession while I was on the mountain.
Everyone's experience is different and I can only speak of my own, but I personally could not see myself succeeding as I did in any other facility. I'll be thankful to Green Mountain for the rest of my life.

Just came home after four weeks at Serenity Treatment Center and it was a wonderful experience. I came home more with a better understanding of my condition and given great coping skills to deal with my anxiety and depression. I want to thank with all my heart two people in particular My clinitions Jack who gave me great one one one therapy with a kind and gentle heart and Rob...both true gemsne. Rob ran many of the group sessions always giving a lot of information and encouraged us to recognize our needs and work on coping skills that for me we're so important. Rob had a way of running groups and not making the groups boring with different approaches such as occasional an chuckle combined with many serious conversations. Anyone lucky enough to enter into the Serenity program is truly lucky. I would be wrong not to acknowledge the techs, nursing, cooking and cleaning staff all wonderful people.

I had an extremely great experience. My mental health, and my substance abuse were addressed and worked on every single day. With medication and daily therapy sessions, and a greatly structured environment I felt very confident in moving into a sober living phase--which is a part of the recovery process. Was skeptical about the program but was beyond pleased at how helpful, informative, and engaging it actually was. I voluntarily decided to try RCA’s outpatient dual diagnosis program and I have nothing but great things to say about it! The staff though small was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and the fact that the staff is a smaller team it definitely gives off a sense of a almost a family like atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone who’s struggling with any mental health or substance abuse issues. It’s never too late to change your life for the better and you don’t have to do it alone and just my experience but I would recommend RCA hands down.

Rca Danvers was amazing, almost all the staff were very supportive. You always have a few you don't like, but I'll say 95% were awesome. Just make sure to ask what you can bring with you, I went there without knowing which made it a lil rougher. Unit 5 rocks, met so many great people I'll never forget, and the staff really care. Huge shout out to David my counselor, rock on... Now on to continue my journey, thanks again so much to everyone. P.S. use R's in your words kid hahaha

Finding the right place for my son wasn’t easy, but Heartfelt gave us real hope. The team stayed in touch and guided us even after discharge, which meant a lot. I just hoped for more spiritual elements. Still, they treated my son like a person, not a case file. That alone made a big difference.

I cannot say enough good about Aware Recovery Care going back to February 2023. My first involvement was with their In-Home Detox team consisting of RN Jenn Aguire and nurses Tabitha and Krystal who came to my home for at least seven straight days to get me detoxed. This was critical to me as at the time I was unwilling to enter in residence detox having had a negative experience in the past. I credit them with saving my life. Their kind and compassionate care showed me that there was indeed some hope for me going forward. Following detox Aware counselors Sam Hayes and Amber Gelinas continued home visits working very closely with me in keeping me on the road to sobriety. I also received monthly assessments by an RN and a session with a Psychiatrist. After six months my insurance lapsed but thankfully I was eligible to enter their Alumni Program consisting of multiple Zoom meetings during the week with Aware professionals. In addition they also host various events in different locations with other Alumni of the program. You always feel that Aware is right there with you every step of the way. I could carry on much longer but let me finish by saying that I consider the Aware professionals I have dealt with to be more than just counselors but as friends as well. I am welcome back in the lives of my children and most importantly my Grandchildren. On November 24 I will be collecting my Nine Month sobriety chip at my AA Home Group. I credit a great deal of my success on Aware Recovery.

I was destined to enter the doors at The Granite House and when I arrived my spirit was at its lowest due to my habitual drug and Alcohol relapses. I can wholeheartedly say with conviction that the spirit Of God works through the Amazing human beings who work in this organization. In the beginning I called them staff but before I knew it they were my family. When brother Justin shared his testimony on more than one occasion I felt and heard the Holy spirit speak through him, he has truly inspired me and many others to " Never give up because there is a way". My name is Kenneth Caudill, I entered GateHouse three months ago. In that time frame I learned more about myself and my addiction then I ever thought possible. I was scared and nervous at first with me being a first time treatment guy. Upon entering gate house you meet the caring and in touch ppl you'll ever meet. They don't look at you like a dollar sighn, they look at you like a human being and a person. The respect and kindness is unbelievable to say the least. I was just an addict and alcoholic who messed up and came thru there doors, but they made me feel right at home and like a person.
The staff there will walk you thru the steps explaining everything to you as you go. They help you get comfortable and really at ease in the halls. They make sure they help you with all your needs from dentistry to EBT to eye glasses and so much more. They truly are an amazing bunch of genuine human beings.
The instructors there are all well qualified and for me geniuses far beyond what I can see. There not only there to help you recognize your addiction and how to deal with it on an everyday basis. But to lend yiu an ear when yiu need it, or talk to you when things aren't going well. The techs are just as super amazing, friendly humerous and always willing to listen or poke jokes to make you smile. From transporting to UAs to just being genuine human beings the techs rock....

" I said to myself. Im scared and I cant do this" Collin said "bro you can, I got you " Tab sealed the deal by saying we're happy your here, this is where you will get better" I believed them both. I hold the house staff aka techs high up there not just be ause I was a client but because I had a band of brothers willing and able to help me when I was lost"
Between all of the techs at the houses and clinical, the instructors at clinical to the upper management all around I could not be more genuine then screaming "THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME" I will never forget any of you and I appreciate you 10,000 percent...

I have had amazing experiences here, I’ve learned new ways and skills to cope my addiction to alcohol. I’m still in treatment here, and I would like to share with you all how I’ve been treated and how I will continue to be treated. The staff are amazing they are always there to help with anything; talking about things, if u need to get it off your chest, getting you what u need to be successful. I have a few favorite staff, those people include; Kyle Haskell, Collin Darby, and Wayne Theriault. These staff members have helped me on my journey to recovery, and will continue to do everything in their power to help me get to where I need to be to be able to stand on my two feet.

They have an outstanding success rate, and all the staff is outstanding, caring, and loving!!!! I myself am a graduate of the Gate House…. If you have tried other programs, and are still struggling within that vicious circle, I wholeheartedly suggest you give them a try!!! Treatment is also covered by most insurance companies….

I was lucky enough to have found out about this facility in February of 2025. Words can not even describe how amazing the staff! My first night there was extremely hard for me and Petra was absolutely amazing ! I wanted to leave , I didn't feel good and she was able to calm me down and keep me there. My case worker Nicole was the best! I felt like she truly cared and wanted to help me get thru my time at the facility and she helped me set up outpatient care so that when I left Mayflower I was all set with good resources. This place was the beginning of redemption story and gave me a phenomenal foundation to start my recovery journey!

My first impression of Mayflower was an amazing. I felt so comfortable with the staff immediately, they made me feel so welcomed and supportive. The staff was unbelievably knowledgeable in addition. I felt safe and well taken care of. My room was first class with my own TV. The food was cooked by a chef and was unbelievable. I was most impressed with the Director of the program. He did a morning group everyday to address any concerns we may have and to impress how he was there to help the clients. Very professional and comfortable at the same time. 10 out of 10. The best in Massachusetts if not the North East.

I have read some of the negative reviews on here and the only thing I can say is when your going through detox every bad thing that happens is greatly magnified and things are not always as bad as you think. It’s a detox not day camp. If you are truly being sick and tired of being sick and tired and you want help getting clean and sober I would suggest going to Farnum. This place definitely saved my life. If you are looking for a place that will help in your recovery then please reach out to them. I didn’t get it right the first time so I’ve been there twice over the course of 5 years but both times I’ve been there all of the staff were all very helpful and caring. I had been sober for 9 years, taking Suboxone but it was all a lie. I relapsed and everything came crashing down. I went to jail, almost caught a serious charge, was getting evicted from my apartment, my car ready to be repossessed and my life just seemed to spiral out of control. I was on the verge of suicide. I decided to go back to the methadone clinic and start IOP. My journey of healing began. It's just a slip, I will get back up even stronger than before. I know now who is important in my life and who isn't. If I want to change I need to start healing and loving myself first. Something I've never done, everyone else was first. Now it's time for me to be number one. My life matters I don't want to die.

The staff is friendly and extremely helpful!!! I've been in treatment for a little over a year sober for 3 months now started attending IOP which is offered at the clinic and that led me on the path to being completely drug free thanks to all the support that's offered I can finally say LIFE is AMAZING!!! Thank you NEW SEASONS truly this place has changed my life for the BEST ! I have clean sober friends now I highly recommend attending some type of group the support you get between the consulers and the clients is unbelievable ! The night staff—especially Brooke and Kiana— go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable and heard. They don’t just do their job—they show up with their whole heart. You can feel how much they care, and that kind of compassion truly sticks with you.
The support I’ve received from the staff since day one has been consistent & genuine. Many of the staff are in recovery themselves, and that creates a level of understanding and safety that’s incredibly rare.
The groups are filled with people who are real, kind, and supportive. We all come from different walks of life, but everyone is here for the same reason—and we lift each other up through it. I’ve made real connections and found sober friendships that continue to motivate me daily.
