Briefly stayed at Hampstead Hospital as a teenager suffering from depression and anxiety. There was a lack of privacy compared to other psych hospitals I’ve stayed at. For example shared bedrooms and bathroom doors that had to stay partially open (even though it was a co-ed unit). However I found the stay to be overall much more comfortable than other hospitals. The staff were kind and interactive with us, something that’s so important but often overlooked in psychiatric healthcare. The group’s were helpful and relevant. The food was great, going to the cafeteria for meals was always nice.

I was sick and scared when I arrived, but the transformation that occurred for me during the 80 days I spent on the mountain was nothing short of a miracle.
I quickly recognized that hard work on my part needed to be done, or I'd be miserable and missing out on the gifts of the program. Thankfully, there is an incredible staff in place who walked with me through the introspection I had to do and showed me that recovery was possible. I marked 5 months sober yesterday and I truly believe that God removed my alcoholic obsession while I was on the mountain.
Everyone's experience is different and I can only speak of my own, but I personally could not see myself succeeding as I did in any other facility. I'll be thankful to Green Mountain for the rest of my life.

Was skeptical about the program but was beyond pleased at how helpful, informative, and engaging it actually was. I voluntarily decided to try RCA’s outpatient dual diagnosis program and I have nothing but great things to say about it! The staff though small was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and the fact that the staff is a smaller team it definitely gives off a sense of a almost a family like atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone who’s struggling with any mental health or substance abuse issues. It’s never too late to change your life for the better and you don’t have to do it alone and just my experience but I would recommend RCA hands down.

I cannot say enough good about Aware Recovery Care going back to February 2023. My first involvement was with their In-Home Detox team consisting of RN Jenn Aguire and nurses Tabitha and Krystal who came to my home for at least seven straight days to get me detoxed. This was critical to me as at the time I was unwilling to enter in residence detox having had a negative experience in the past. I credit them with saving my life. Their kind and compassionate care showed me that there was indeed some hope for me going forward. Following detox Aware counselors Sam Hayes and Amber Gelinas continued home visits working very closely with me in keeping me on the road to sobriety. I also received monthly assessments by an RN and a session with a Psychiatrist. After six months my insurance lapsed but thankfully I was eligible to enter their Alumni Program consisting of multiple Zoom meetings during the week with Aware professionals. In addition they also host various events in different locations with other Alumni of the program. You always feel that Aware is right there with you every step of the way. I could carry on much longer but let me finish by saying that I consider the Aware professionals I have dealt with to be more than just counselors but as friends as well. I am welcome back in the lives of my children and most importantly my Grandchildren. On November 24 I will be collecting my Nine Month sobriety chip at my AA Home Group. I credit a great deal of my success on Aware Recovery.

I was destined to enter the doors at The Granite House and when I arrived my spirit was at its lowest due to my habitual drug and Alcohol relapses. I can wholeheartedly say with conviction that the spirit Of God works through the Amazing human beings who work in this organization. In the beginning I called them staff but before I knew it they were my family. When brother Justin shared his testimony on more than one occasion I felt and heard the Holy spirit speak through him, he has truly inspired me and many others to " Never give up because there is a way". It specializ | Treatments Programs Payment Options | My name is Kenneth Caudill, I entered GateHouse three months ago. In that time frame I learned more about myself and my addiction then I ever thought possible. I was scared and nervous at first with me being a first time treatment guy. Upon entering gate house you meet the caring and in touch ppl you'll ever meet. They don't look at you like a dollar sighn, they look at you like a human being and a person. The respect and kindness is unbelievable to say the least. I was just an addict and alcoholic who messed up and came thru there doors, but they made me feel right at home and like a person.
The staff there will walk you thru the steps explaining everything to you as you go. They help you get comfortable and really at ease in the halls. They make sure they help you with all your needs from dentistry to EBT to eye glasses and so much more. They truly are an amazing bunch of genuine human beings.
The instructors there are all well qualified and for me geniuses far beyond what I can see. There not only there to help you recognize your addiction and how to deal with it on an everyday basis. But to lend yiu an ear when yiu need it, or talk to you when things aren't going well. The techs are just as super amazing, friendly humerous and always willing to listen or poke jokes to make you smile. From transporting to UAs to just being genuine human beings the techs rock....
My thoughts
" I said to myself. Im scared and I cant do this" Collin said "bro you can, I got you " Tab sealed the deal by saying we're happy your here, this is where you will get better" I believed them both. I hold the house staff aka techs high up there not just be ause I was a client but because I had a band of brothers willing and able to help me when I was lost"
Between all of the techs at the houses and clinical, the instructors at clinical to the upper management all around I could not be more genuine then screaming "THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME" I will never forget any of you and I appreciate you 10,000 percent...
Much love and admiration

I had been sober for 9 years, taking Suboxone but it was all a lie. I relapsed and everything came crashing down. I went to jail, almost caught a serious charge, was getting evicted from my apartment, my car ready to be repossessed and my life just seemed to spiral out of control. I was on the verge of suicide. I decided to go back to the methadone clinic and start IOP. My journey of healing began. It's just a slip, I will get back up even stronger than before. Meta laid the groundwork for my recovery, and I can say it’s changed my life in ways I never expected.
The night staff—especially Brooke and Kiana— go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable and heard. They don’t just do their job—they show up with their whole heart. You can feel how much they care, and that kind of compassion truly sticks with you.
The support I’ve received from the staff since day one has been consistent & genuine. Many of the staff are in recovery themselves, and that creates a level of understanding and safety that’s incredibly rare.
The groups are filled with people who are real, kind, and supportive. We all come from different walks of life, but everyone is here for the same reason—and we lift each other up through it. I’ve made real connections and found sober friendships that continue to motivate me daily.
If you’re looking for a space where people care, show up, and walk beside you while you grow—Meta is that place!! I’m so grateful for the continued support on this journey. 😄

First time in methadone treatment clinic and this place has consistently gone above and beyond anything I expected. Was on suboxone at a different clinic then relapsed for past 2 years til I found this place. Everyone has been supportive and none of them cynical, I feel like it's actually possible to get lasting and helpful treatment here. I don't know what others expect or consider important, but they listen and have been clear with me so I can learn what to expect and work toward short and long term goals. Front desk staff has been especially amazing. Learned quickly not to rely on anecdotes and just talk to them directly
