7.74 / 10 | Summit Behavioral Health is a part of the greater Summit Behavioral Health system. They have a location in Princeton Junction, New Jersey that offers substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and counseling support to adolescents, adults, and families. This facility focuses on a holistic, village-style approach to help people manage their SUD. Progra | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I can’t say enough good things about this facility/program. I did my IOP here and from day one, I felt supported, understood, and genuinely cared for. Courtney and Mika are incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate—they don’t just go through the motions; they truly invest in your growth and wellbeing.
The groups were meaningful, engaging, and actually useful in real life, not just “textbook recovery.” I learned tools that helped me rebuild structure, confidence, and balance in my life. The environment felt safe, nonjudgmental, and motivating, and I always walked out feeling better than when I walked in... they even have recliner "lay down and share" chairs oh and the Coffee is top notch
This facility played a huge role in my progress, and I’m grateful for every counselor, staff member, and peer who helped me along the way. If you’re looking for an IOP that truly cares and makes a real impact, this is the place. Highly recommend.

Therapy has helped me understand myself better, manage life's challenges with more confidence, and build healthier habits. It's been a great reminder that asking for support is a strength, not a weakness. Also, I love my therapist Blake, and Rebecca literally saved my life with med management!
As far as group therapy, it gave me a supportive space to connect with people who truly understood what I was going through. It helped me gain new perspectives and feel less alone!
I highly recommend STR for anyone looking for extra support!

I came in with a positive mindset, open to any and everything they had to offer and was able to really take advantage of it all. One thing I am most grateful for is the environment and community that grew my positive energy. Everyone from my APN, Dee, my therapist, Michael who I have learned so much from. Jose, my case manager who has always went above and beyond to facilitate any other needs I had. And for Melvin who always was a leader and ready with a smile and positivity. I always felt comfortable and connected. It was always easy for everyone and myself yo be able to engage in group settings and that is a credit to the vibe and energy of each one of the therapists who ran each session. My son did the PHP followed by the IOP program. The change in him is night and day, my family couldn’t be happier. His clinician Tim C. was incredible. He was in consistent contact with me on our concerns, listened not only to my son but me as a mom and my other son as a brother and took all of our concerns and feedback into his sessions with my son. He helped my son work through not only the issues he was having but gave him the coping skills to tackle hard things going forward. We will miss him and the staff greatly. Their Mental Health and Behavioral Health department helps kids, adolescents, adults, and seniors overcome a variety of challenges, including drug and alcohol addiction. They partner with Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care to provide inpatient an | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I wrote a good review for the Jack and Sheryl Morris Cancer Center and I will do the same for floor 5 north in Robert Wood.
First off Liz S. always greets me with a smile and always makes me feel welcome when I am visiting my mom for stage 4 lung cancer. Nurse Tatiana, Cabelli, and Marla, and nurses Melina, Nick, Eugina, Jeremey,LJ and Sylvia, Mecca, Felicia, Miggie,Thelma and tech Gabriel, tech Kiki, tech Nicole, Maddie, and tech Emanuel and Rollinsky and Rhea and tech Shy and also security officer Joshua S. And receptionist Robin Y. I apologize if I do not remember other nurses and healthcare workers on the floor but every single nurse and staff and tech were always working so hard to keep my mother and other patients on the floor as alive as possible.
On top of it all, I hear that they might have discovered a vaccine that destroys cancer from Moderna and I am just floored. I do not know healthcare so this is the best I know how to help Robert Wood and Gods miracle workers. I especially enjoy meeting the male techs and nurses as they are doing wonders for reputation of men everywhere. I could learn a thing or two from them and so could others of my gender. Doctors and nurses are the true heroes on earth. The least I could do is help bring attention to the tough and often times stressful work of healthcare workers. Thank you Robert Wood…and for those that are suffering from cancer or have loved ones going through cancer please google Cancer Vaccine, it will give you alot of
hope!
Update: My mom is still trying to get through her infection and Eeg specialist Rahman is hard at work. I also finally found out the department that Dr. Meng who recently did a procedure that helped clear my mothers infection. He is a doctor from pulmonology. I do not want to take away from other patients at the hospital but, what I can say is if you wait and hang in there if you have cancer, I am pretty darn certain the cancer vaccine will fix you. It is in the works already for 10 different cancers but it could be coming in 2027 for mylenoma. I pray to god for all patients at the hospital because it works. I just know and it used to be blind faith but now it is real faith that is visible in the compassion of the hospital and its staff, also the asian guy who rings up my meal from the cafeteria and the guy behind the counter with the delicious ziti. (I do not know their names) They all contribute to the overall positive compassionate atmosphere.
I also know I am not the most charismatic person around, but God the creator cares about your intentions not your vanity so I feel compelled to continue to mention all the light workers and blue collar workers I encounter at Robert Wood. God the creator empowered me to do this. I thank god the creator and that is all I will say anymore about religion or politics. That is all I will delve into about those topics.
Update: Officer Jay kindly directed me to 5 north when my mother first stayed here. I could not find it. and Dawn, and Anna are so nice at the front desk. Nurse Lakisha has been asking about my mom all the time making sure she is feeling well and Nurse Colleen has had a rough day and well thats all to common for the life of a nurse, doctor, tech or healthcare worker. Tough work, but not enough recognition.
Update August 31, 2026. Patricia in the light blue scrubs who was brought in from a different floor of the hospital had such a pleasant demeanor while answering phones. As humble as they are, she told me she does not work on 5 North, but I told her it does not matter because all the healthcare workers deserve recognition. In addition, Nurse Katelyn was passing by and I had not had the chance to mention her in this review, but I see her working while I am here and they are always tired and exhausted. I feel like all the staff deserve more respect considering this is probably one of the busiest hospitals in nj.
Update: it is not as chaotic during the night time, so I had the chance to thank Nurse Joyce the first nurse to receive my mom on 5 north.

My experience here has been great, so far! The staff has been friendly and helpful. They provide both in person and telehealth calls. My Dr actually listens and provides feedback, remembers and takes interest in things we've talked about prior, and follows up on them. It feels like he genuinely cares. I truly thank him for that! Before him at stress care, I was disrespected if I talked, had Drs not even look up at me or hear anything from me, just tried pushing medications that only made things alot worse!
The social worker has been nothing but great! She is very nice, caring, and always willing to go above and beyond for her clients. I have felt better since starting, and no longer dread having to talk to a doctor. I can only speak to my experience with the staff, my Dr I've been had since starting, and my social worker stress cares provides to help you, even if just for a ride.

I definitely experienced what a big difference the service of High Focus comparing the other one. The facility might not be shining, but the service was right on spot. The staff are very experienced. They are calm, professional and compassionate. They don't response on minute to my email. But they know when to communicate with me and listen to all my important observation. They conducted the treatment in the right pace and told me to be patient when I was super worried. They provides parent education sessions which is very useful. The front office is also very friendly and responsible. I would highly recommend this place if you are searching the out patient program.

One of the best places that you can go to get help with a certified recovery specialist and people that are very good at their job and actually care about helping other people. I would highly recommend this to anybody in the area and they’re all throughout Pennsylvania they have 15 district officers spread out in different counties. I am a proud member and also a volunteer and I love this program and the great people you meet with in it. I like the saying says don’t just complain volunteer so after they help you give it back and help another person that will always come back.
