To Be Clear I Gave 5 Stars Specifically For Jen And Mary !! I Would Like To Say I Absolutely Love Jen The Therapist/Case Worker And Mary Because They Always Went Above And Beyond To Make Sure That Every Single Thing A Client Is Attended Too Genuinely And Authentically Where All Other Staff Were Not Following Up With Processing Including Paulie/Melissa Were Absent !! But Overall They Are The Best And They Should Definitely Be Running The Show !! That's It That All !!

I just left Garden State and it was one of the best facilities I have ever been to. The facilitators are very educated and have years of recovery experience as well. They have weekly music therapy and other forms of therapy such as equine therapy, arts and crafts, ziplining, and boating. They have outings every Saturday. It is a fairly easy program to follow. They take us to at least 4 AA meetings per week and also take us to an outside gym up to 4 times a week. Every single staff member is extremely in tune with the clients needs and really cares. They listen if we need support or just want to talk, especially the director. I spoke to Pauly a few times and he never turned me away. This facility is not in it for the monetary gain. They allow phone times for clients outside of group hours. They also take us to the diner and order food for us once a week on the weekends. Trust me compared to other facilities, they do a lot for us. Sometimes you don't even feel like you are in treatment, you feel like you are home. The sober houses attached to treatment are absolutely gorgeous. Spacious and large rooms, large beds with TVs in all rooms. The houses are clean and well maintained. I give this facility a 5 star rating and this is coming from a client who has been to at least 20 different places. Garden State is awesome and I'll miss everyone there!!

I stayed clean/sober ever since I went to this treatment center 4 YEARS AGO! It is the only treatment center i didn't AMA from and even went back a second time. I always used to ama and never go back to the same one. But this one helped me because the houses you stay in are not connected to the center with therapy. In most rehabs, the bedrooms are in the same building as the classrooms and there is a cafeteria with crappy food. I had co-occuring eating disorders, as many addicts do. They are usually hospital settings and drove me crazy being able to skip class and eat and sleep all day. I'd eat, sleep, and gain weight until I could bear it and would ama. But at garden state, we got they took us to a grocery store once a week and gave us each $70 gift cards to get ourselves groceries for the week. We would stay in a nice big house with a real kitchen that wasn't near the center. Then we would have to be out of the house by 8 am and on the van to drive to the center. The group room had big comfy lounge chairs so all us still withdrawaling could be comfy in group. We would go 5 days a week for around 40 hours a week just like a job. It gave me structure! Routine! I had to get up and go in the morning. I did not have the option to sneak out of group and lay in bed or binge eat. It was what I needed to become a normal functioning human being again

This recovery center is well structured and has helped me find my way in life. I came in without knowing what I wanted to do for work and having zero work experience besides some part-time jobs. The program is well-organized, focusing on skills to help the patient in a calm and considerate environment. The staff are very respectful and responsible with there jobs, especially the clinical director Laura who helped me through everything. Therapists make treatment plans for you that are specifically tailored to YOU and your situation. I have been in and out of many rehabs and recovery centers over the past three years, but this place helped me the most. Ultimately, I would recommend this place to anyone seeking recovery and help, however do NOT live in their sober living houses!

Phenomenal organization that truly cares about its patients recovery and were so helpful in my daughter's treatment, she is better off now from where she was when she first went in. It was not a perfect experience - there were several miscommunications that detracted from the recovery but their management owned all mistakes and missteps - Bill and Jen were especially forthcoming in this, something I appreciated. Most of the other staff were exemplary in their roles in supporting patients in their journey - want to especially recognize Amber as someone who exemplified the lodge's ideals of compassion and professionalism, she made a difference in my daughter's life.

Its been 3 weeks since I completed the 28 day program on (August 5, 2025) at Alina Lodge . From the moment I arrived (July 8, 2025)I felt comfortable and safe. THIS PLACE NOT ONLY SAVED MY LIFE IT ALSO BROUGHT LIFE BACK TO ME MENTALLY EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY! The program they have is great and I learned more and more about addiction but even more so about myself. The staff there are great , kind, loving amd compassionate. They are there to help and as long as you ask for that help you will get it . The environment was amazing given the space and time to recover and reflect on each group session. My favorite spot to sit and reflect was in the gazebo close the the river . The food was great each meal was also good and filling. Now at 48 days clean today 8/25/2025 i feel so great my life has improved dramatically! Thanks to the wrok i put it and the structure of Alina Lodge!!! I love you guys and thank you for helping me regain traction in my life I will be forever grateful! -Mike Liaci

If it wasn’t for Jesus Christ I would not be sober today. He receives all the credit for my rest, peace, restoration, rehabilitation, recovery and sobriety. I credit MM with convincing me to enter recovery. When I second guessed attending MM, from director down to intake coordinators they shared the benefits and advantages of the programs. I especially thank Irma for her encouraging personality and experience in the real world. The intake staff played a big role in getting me out of Michigan; where I felt unsafe and incapable of defeating the disease of alcohol and addiction. They called me 2-4 times a day, 7 days a week, for 1 month. They didn’t know me, but it felt as if they did. I finally had a friend or somewhat like a loved one that actually care about me living. Two therapist stood out to me; Meagan and Jesse! They were amazing. They obviously put not only their minds to their clinical groups, but they pour their energy and hearts into their therapy. I truly wish that one of them was my personal therapist while I was in the program. Jesse mastered bring clients/patients together. Meagan was unbelievable, her therapy and meditation tactics enhanced my relationship with Christ. It allowed me to focus in on my praying, conversational skills, praise and listening skills with Christ personally. In 2022, my father died and under the influence of my disease, I decided to not complete my MA in CMHC although I was only four classes away. Meagan’s expertise and compassion has changed my mind. I’m going to finish my Masters!!!! She was amazing! I also enjoyed specific staff members whom compassion and care was beyond genuine. Those staff members were two different Dans, Olivia, Victoria, Bill, Nick and Maryam. The highlight of my experience at MM were MY PEOPLE! Those who were just like me. Race didn’t matter, gender was no factor, and we all were blinded to anyone’s lifestyle preferences. We loved each other, taught each other, hugged each other, shared together, and encouraged one another. We all shared the same desire to be free. Not just free of addiction, but free in life alone. I encouraged everyone in my path to hate! Yes, I said it, “Hate”! I encouraged to hate drugs and alcohol. And I also loudly and proudly shared the name of my Higher Power. I will once again, if your searching for a Higher Power, I like to recommend mine. His name is Jesus! He has freed me in life. If you are ready for a new journey of sobriety, I strongly recommend MM of Randolph, NJ. This facility may require you to detox first, and two hours away I had an even greater experience at Enlightened Recovery located in Atlantic City, NJ.

Doctor, Annie, Rodriguez resident, and Dr Mark McQueeney ER Are two of the best doctors I’ve ever had to take care of me, they went above and beyond the call of duty to find out what’s going on with me even with the extreme heavy load that they had. Dr. McQueen he left his ER post for a quick five minutes to come and examine me as he Had the knowledge to do and special eye exam due to the pressure that I had behind my eye. Dr. Rodriguez physically went down to the emergency room to find a Doctor Who had the experience to do this test and Dr. McQueeney was the one she found, and both were more than willing to do whatever they had to do to find out what was going on with me and how they Could help me…… thank you, Dr. McQueeney and thank you Dr. Rodriguez for all the caring and above and beyond medical treatment that I received!! Going to the Livingston GenPsych was one of the best things I have ever done for myself - if not the best thing I have ever done for myself. The therapists there are incredible - Julie, Charlotte, Mike, Kayla, Eric are all fantastic, incredible people who have changed so many lives including my own. They truly care. The office receptionist, Provy, is a queen and a kind, friendly face who instantly makes you feel safe and the security guard, Max, is a gem as well. This is a throwaway account for my own privacy. I did the PHP and IOP program at GenPsych in Livingston after I got out of the hospital. I am indebted to the staff, counselors, and fellow clients. I was at my lowest point and am able to say now that I am the healthiest I've ever been, and it's in part because of this program. One drawback I noticed is that they did have high turnover while I was there and seemed to have a lot of newer counselors who were not as experienced, but the DBT program is something that can be administered by anyone. If you're hesitating about doing this, I'd recommend it.

So I attended the intensive outpatient DBT program here for several months, and it was a challenging, emotional and also wonderful, rewarding experience. My therapist, Kayla, was incredible - very relatable and down-to-earth, compassionate and yet still held me accountable. The front desk staff and other DBT session leaders were great too - shout-out to Provi! If you've made it this far into my review and are debating whether or not to try the DBT program: DO IT. Commit, do the homework, participate in the groups, and it will be the first (big) step towards a better life.

This review is long overdue, but I really want to give a huge shout out to Scott Rosen from the Emergency Department. Every time I’ve come in, he’s been compassionate, patient, and genuinely kind. He has such a calming presence and always takes the time to explain what’s going on, which makes a stressful situation so much easier to handle. Having a chronic illness is a challenge and having a person like Scott made me feel so comfortable and calm and truly cared for. He not only made me feel safe and reassured but he went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met and I was so thankful. I have had Crohns since I was 9 and I've never had a more compassionate nurse. He is truly one of a kind. On one visit, another nurse was having a hard time with my IV. I specifically asked for Scott, and as always, he got it on the first try and made me feel completely at ease. His technique is gentle and confident, and you can tell he truly cares about his patients. Scott goes above and beyond whether it’s offering a reassuring word, making sure you’re comfortable, or just treating you like a person instead of a chart. Nurses like him make all the difference in the ER, and I’m so grateful for his care. Thank you Scott!!!!!

This program changed my life for the better. I found myself in the position of needing a higher level of care but didn’t know where to turn. Luckily, I had help and support in finding High Focus Parsippany. The program is structured very well. All the employees are so caring and genuinely want to see you get better. I learned a lot from other participants in the program as well. Andrew is the absolute best. Our tween recently completed the PHP program at High Focus Centers in Parsippany, and we felt compelled to share what truly sets this program apart. While the clinical care was strong for our son, the hidden gem of this program is the weekly Family Group counseling sessions for parents! Facilitated by John, who cares deeply about the well-being of the parents as much as the teens, these virtual sessions have been an invaluable lifeline. They create a safe, supportive space where families can share, listen, and learn from each other. We found ourselves looking forward to these meetings—not only to gain insight and guidance, but also to support others at different points in their own journeys. If you’re navigating the mental health recovery path with your teen, this program provides more than treatment—it builds community, connection, and hope. We’re grateful to have found it!

Seriously the best clinic ever! I recently switched due to moving and it’s the biggest regret I’ve had yet in my 8 years of sobriety. I had no idea how lucky I was going to MCAC. They truly love you and treat you with respect. I’d give anything to go back here over where I’m at now. Complete 180. I went from the best clinic to the worst and regret it. If you don’t have to leave here, don’t do it. If you’re looking to get clean, go here! I promise. If you’re willing to do the work, this place WILL help! I have 8 years of sobriety thanks to them. It was not very crowded. I did not have to wait long to be seen. All the staff was warm, friendly, listened and provided updates as the procedures progressed. The PA and the technician explained things extremely well. I received great care during the 3 1/2 hours I was there.

I had a calcium heart scan and as I was paying she said $300 and I said I was told it was $100 but we paid and as she looked she said something didn’t look right and put the paperwork aside to check ! Said I might get a refund which shamefully thought she was saying it to get me out of her hair ! Lo and behold weeks later I got the refund ! From the way I was treated all thru the test was incredible with very nice people NOW this !! They deserve recognition !!

I went to the ER this week and was admitted and had a laparoscopic surgery this week, and the experience was fabulous. The hospital is not fancy, but the people who work there were fabulous, the nurses, the doctors, everyone was so wonderful I was overwhelmed by the care and love they gave me. I'm from NYC so I have very high standards for medical care, and this was a fantastic experience. I highly recommend Bon Secours if you are in the unfortunate situation of needing medical care.

My Patient Advocacy experience was wonderful, the staff member was extraordinarily patient, compassionate, relentlessly supportive. She excelled overcoming the obstacles presented by portal services and medical records! The medical services, ER staff, and clinical support personnel were supportive in every meaningful way. I felt safe and confident. Unfortunately the frontline patient facing IT group, portal support, and medical records staff were dismissive, complacent, condescending, uninformed. So sad a frontline service support organization does not see their role as critical as Patient Advocacy and Clinical Patient Services.
