This program was tough and just what I needed to do what I had to do to get right and learn how to be a woman of substance. I initially did not want to go because of the 6 months. Honestly probably could have used more than six months. I surrendered allowed the help to help me and did what they suggested, even when I didn’t want to. I learned how to be productive and responsible and most importantly to be real about my feelings, that’s when the healing began. 1/30/2024 I celebrated 15 years clean . I have the Anderson House to thank for setting the foundation of my recovery process

As 2025 winds down, I can’t help but look back at this past year — especially the four months and 21 days I spent at Rolling Hills. It was the hardest, rawest, most transformative stretch of my life. And now, for the first time in I don’t know how many years, I’m heading into Christmas and the end of a year with resilience, clarity, confidence, and a real sense of who I am. When I think about how I got here, one name hits me right in the heart: Doreen. Don’t get me wrong — every staff member played a part, especially my primary therapist, Brian, who walked me through things I never thought I’d face. But Doreen… Doreen is different. She’s the force of nature you don’t forget. The one who doesn’t judge, doesn’t look at you as a diagnosis or a story someone else told — she sees you. It’s like she can crawl into your brain, read the instruction manual you never got, and somehow understand exactly how to reach you. She does it with every single client, every single day. The amount of effort, planning, and heart she pours into her groups? Unreal. This woman is a superhero — cape optional, impact guaranteed. She also has this Santa-level magic. Not the “ho-ho-ho, here’s a present” kind, but the “here’s the truth you need to see, whether you’re ready or not” kind. She’s not there to make things easy. She’s there to break down what’s been blocking you so you can rebuild — stronger, clearer, and honest with yourself. And as hard as it was in those first weeks, I can say now: I love her for it. Rolling Hills is unbelievably lucky to have her. And I am unbelievably grateful to have crossed paths with someone who changed the trajectory of my life. Today, I’m living with gratitude, purpose, and pride. And I owe a huge part of that to her.

Moving Mountains exceeded every expectation I had for a treatment center. The team was amazing. They were compassionate, patient, and deeply committed to helping every person succeed. The therapists are incredibly knowledgeable and caring. Special shout out to Eric, Miles, and my therapist Curtis. I can't thank everyone at there enough for helping me find start to find myself again.

To anyone considering RWJ New Brunswick or any of its facilities: please think twice , thrice, dont think . If you want timely treatment, competent doctors, and humane care, look elsewhere. Your loved one’s health and dignity are too precious to risk here. A place where my dear one spent 1 month. And right after discharge(with nothing but emotional, physical distress) , another doctor at a different facility treated fixed under 2-3 hrs which rwj couldnt in 1 month . All thats glitters are not gold. I have experienced other hospitals - nursing and staffs are the rudest and incompetent. Doctors have no coordination. Will force for unnecessary treatment ! Please dont go here.

Sunrise Detox Stirling is a facility in Stirling, New Jersey. As its name suggests, it’s a detox center for folks who are experiencing drug and alcohol addictions. Sunrise cherry hill was a godsend. The nurse Sydney is absolutely the sweetest person you'll ever meet. I went there over a year ago and and she remembered me and made sure my stay there was comfortable. Unfortunately I've stayed at quite a few other facilities and NEVER was treated with such respect and kindness that she treated me with. She deserves a raise lol! On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. He told me over and over in an annoyed and stern voice as I was in tears to call back at 9am. Im just lucky im not someone who is WAY more fragile and sensitive amd nothing terrible happened 🥺

My Mom was brought there with an aneurysm at the end of October, and even though she didn't make it, I would like to say thank you to every person there. From Doctor to Nurse to orderly or any other employee walking in the hallway that was polite, helpful, informative, you really helped our transition be a little less painful. I forget her name, but the therapist/counselor that talked to us as we were waiting for the worst was truly good at her job. She helped us see things in perspective and calm out nerves. I am so glad that the ambulance driver decided to bring my Mom to Morristown.

Social recovery center. Man.. my life before social recovery center was pure madness , no hope and lost. I was refered to social recovery center by the rehab I was in, I didn’t know what IOP was , I just knew I needed something to guide me in the right direction. Once I walked in those doors , the smiles followed by a warm welcoming hit me. It was all so new to me. The information I’ve learned about myself from the counselors and what I have to deal with is life saving. Once I heard that information , I couldn’t unknow it. The other stories , struggles or whatever that I heard really stuck with me. The way I’ve identified and realized , damn they have it worse. It feels good to be around people that understand my struggle. The support I’ve recived from my counselors and peers were more support than I’ve ever recived from anyone. I’m still learning everyday and trying to be the best man I can be, Social Recovery Center helped me grow up and opened my eyes, I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone there. Thank you 🙏🏾❤️

I was referred to the Social Recovery Center by my detox center. I was recovering from prescribed opioid dependency and alcohol abuse. It was the best thing that could have happened to me. I have spent many years on and off opioids because of chronic pain and many surgeries, I’d found myself lost in a world of unsustainable dependency and abuse. After detox, Social Recovery, through their extremely caring and knowledgeable counselors and well crafted program taught me about not only how to fully recover from my addictions but they made me more self aware. They guided me to wellness and self awareness by educating me on how substance abuse works and how to successfully combat it mentally and emotionally. Self awareness was a byproduct of their teaching methods in group and the invaluable individual sessions. (Shout out to Holly, my great counselor, who is wise beyond her years and without whom my road to wellness may not been smooth. I miss you) All of the counselors at SRC are caring, knowledgeable and bring something different to the table. All are focused on your wellness. I am a 67 year old professional. I only wish I knew about detox programs and places like the Social Recovery Center years ago. My life would have been changed for the better a lot sooner. I now realize that there are many people like me, some that are mandated to go there by law however, I know that if they embrace the therapy instead of thinking of it as punishment they will benefit greatly in more ways than one. I’ve met really good people at SRC and detox some of which I call my friends today. It’s always bitter sweet when one of them finally graduates and it certainly was when I did.i actually miss it. Intake is easy. All you need do is call and speak to Maria, who is just amazing, and she will warmly welcome you and take care of everything. I highly recommend the Social Recovery Center and encourage anyone who is having difficulty with substance abuse or dependency to not wait. Call them before you wish you had.

Was brought in via EMS, admitted for 2 nights and 3 days in the adolescent unit. The hospital staff are incredible, caring and always smiling at all hours. The night neuro team came in while I was having an episode, instead of just making sure I was medically stable they held my hand and reassured me that they were right next to me and I'd be ok- all at 3 in the morning! Shout out to Nurses Kim, Sam, Heather; all the rest of the nurses in Adolescents; Doctor Sarah Yavelberg and the Peds team; and Art Therapist Christiana and Child Life Specialist Jasdeep 🩷🩷! I definitely felt safe, taken care of, listened to, validated and understood during my hospitalization. Additionally, the place is very clean, aesthetically appealing, and well-designed. There was a bed with a separate curtain, light and tv for parent to stay overnight. Meals can be ordered from an extensive menu and are delivered to rooms. They changed sheets as often as requested, even multiple times a day. People ask why I insist on traveling the hour distance to New Brunswick for emergencies, and this is why! If there was an option to give more than five stars, RWJ New Brunswick would definitely get it!

I’m am writing this review as a warning. If you are a patient, don’t go here. If you are a family member of a patient, take them out immediately. If you are considering working here, don’t. I am a spouse of a nurse, and now that some time passed since working there, I feel both comfortable writing this review and 100% OBLIGATED to write this review as a warning. (I would hate to have this review have repercussions on my spouses career, hence the waiting... and this place has several managers/doctors/Nurse practitioners who most certainly would retaliate.) This review could be thousands of words with dozens of specific incidents to report, but I’m going to try to keep it short and sweet, and please just trust there are many stories to back up everything I’m saying - and if you don’t believe me, ask ANY nurse/tech who works there, and they would easily corroborate what I am saying. 1.The patients are UNSAFE. Because there is so little staff, patients are not properly monitored. 2.The patients are UNSAFE. Because higher ups (doctors and Nurse practitioners) have overlooked emergency medical situations as to save time and/or money. 3.The nurses are UNSAFE. Because the patients are not properly monitored, controlled, and cared for and often have violent tendencies. I wouldn't feel comfortable if my spouse still worked here. 4.The patients are UNSAFE. Because, and not to get specific, but the proper amount of meds are not always distributed, and MAYBE somebody gives a patient a little extra sedative to make their shifts easier - I’ve heard more than one person have first hand experience witnessing somebody give extra meds for extra sedation power. 5.The night shift nurses, half of them just straight up SLEEP. 6.Bosses, (NPs, Doctors, etc), have a tendency to punish nurses and techs for their own mistakes often caused by neglect. When they have neglected patients in the past, they will then “remind” a nurse what they “actually said”… and bonus points, you may get written up for doing what they told you or looking out for patient safety. I could go on…. Please don’t work here. Please don’t seek treatment here. Please don’t send family here. It makes me worried that this place exists at all. I can’t imagine how many people got worse, not better, in this facility and it begs the question - how many have not walked out the doors because their treatment was neglected and they passed. If you have Doctors and NPs that don’t seem to care that much, then how is the nurse going to catch their mistake if they sleep through their shift or get written up for looking out for the patients health and safety. I’m strongly considering elaborating on everything above and contacting both the media and Patient rights groups.

Kristine Aguilar has been my therapist for 1.5 years and within that timeframe, my anger, depressed mood, and anxiety have decreased substantially. She is excellent at explaining DBT and helping me to use its skills in my life. She questions me gently, never afraid to ask me the hard questions so that I have greater insight into my feelings and behaviors. I feel unafraid about being 100% honest with her. My quality of life has improved 200%. I recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone who is unafraid to change their life. ps--I don't know why some other reviews are complaining about the "overcharging," or being charged if clients don't give 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment; their policy is very clear. I find that to be a very fair policy, if you don't like it, then go to another therapist center in the first place. And I bet they all have a policy like that.

I didn't know about CPTSD and that there was a path for real healing. After decades of therapy, it was here, with Dr. Edmond, that I saw how that pain shows up and manifests, how I was responding to it - mind and body. That awareness led to time to pause, to see options, to choose differently. Dr. Edmond helped me work out what all that could look like. I'm forever changed and forever grateful.
