This program was tough and just what I needed to do what I had to do to get right and learn how to be a woman of substance. I initially did not want to go because of the 6 months. Honestly probably could have used more than six months. I surrendered allowed the help to help me and did what they suggested, even when I didn’t want to. I learned how to be productive and responsible and most importantly to be real about my feelings, that’s when the healing began. 1/30/2024 I celebrated 15 years clean . I have the Anderson House to thank for setting the foundation of my recovery process

I have been receiving medical treatment at Lyons and East Orange for over 12 years.. and have interacted with many medical professionals and staff.. in any large hospital setting, you will encounter dedicated people and sometimes, some that are just not smart enough to gargle. I recently had shoulder surgery and I rate it 5 stars 110%. Drs, nurses, staff were outstanding and the scheduling was perfect. God Bless all those who take care of us veterans at both hospitals.

I called up there about my dad and I was transferred to a Nursing supervisor by the name of Gwen Martin. Ms. Martin was so professional and she answered all my questions. She took it upon herself to go checkup on my dad. She reassured me that my dad would be taken care of and she even called me back to make sure that all my concerns were addressed.

If it wasn’t for Jesus Christ I would not be sober today. He receives all the credit for my rest, peace, restoration, rehabilitation, recovery and sobriety. I credit MM with convincing me to enter recovery. When I second guessed attending MM, from director down to intake coordinators they shared the benefits and advantages of the programs. I especially thank Irma for her encouraging personality and experience in the real world. The intake staff played a big role in getting me out of Michigan; where I felt unsafe and incapable of defeating the disease of alcohol and addiction. They called me 2-4 times a day, 7 days a week, for 1 month. They didn’t know me, but it felt as if they did. I finally had a friend or somewhat like a loved one that actually care about me living. Two therapist stood out to me; Meagan and Jesse! They were amazing. They obviously put not only their minds to their clinical groups, but they pour their energy and hearts into their therapy. I truly wish that one of them was my personal therapist while I was in the program. Jesse mastered bring clients/patients together. Meagan was unbelievable, her therapy and meditation tactics enhanced my relationship with Christ. It allowed me to focus in on my praying, conversational skills, praise and listening skills with Christ personally. In 2022, my father died and under the influence of my disease, I decided to not complete my MA in CMHC although I was only four classes away. Meagan’s expertise and compassion has changed my mind. I’m going to finish my Masters!!!! She was amazing! I also enjoyed specific staff members whom compassion and care was beyond genuine. Those staff members were two different Dans, Olivia, Victoria, Bill, Nick and Maryam. The highlight of my experience at MM were MY PEOPLE! Those who were just like me. Race didn’t matter, gender was no factor, and we all were blinded to anyone’s lifestyle preferences. We loved each other, taught each other, hugged each other, shared together, and encouraged one another. We all shared the same desire to be free. Not just free of addiction, but free in life alone. I encouraged everyone in my path to hate! Yes, I said it, “Hate”! I encouraged to hate drugs and alcohol. And I also loudly and proudly shared the name of my Higher Power. I will once again, if your searching for a Higher Power, I like to recommend mine. His name is Jesus! He has freed me in life. If you are ready for a new journey of sobriety, I strongly recommend MM of Randolph, NJ. This facility may require you to detox first, and two hours away I had an even greater experience at Enlightened Recovery located in Atlantic City, NJ.

As a fellow mental health clinic owner, I appreciate the impeccable and very thoughtful consideration for bedside manner, inclusion, and warm welcome this center provides its clients. It was not only the excellent the treatment providers but the powerful groups and how well they were managed by staff. Every type of person was there and was welcome. We could all open up and finally be vulnerable in ways we kept to ourselves for who knows how long. There are people of all ages from right out of high school to senior level types. There’s always so much to learn by listening even if you don’t participate. Yes, the building needs to be larger as they must be known for success and it can get busy. If you are highly anxious around people they will provide alternatives specific to your needs. Too much goodness to right here. Just thank you all and a big shout out to the beautiful Courtney (inside and out). Her love for healing others shines beyond her body, I think of it as the size of her spirit. I see wonderful things for your future!

Thank you for the best experience after my mom’s recent major surgery! The care was exceptional. Dr. Hunt and the entire surgical team including the residents were nothing but kind and professional, especially medical student Sara Solomon! Thank you to the PACU nurse Michelle Derr for making my mom so comfortable and allowing me to sit with her. Thank you to the staff on Deskovick A for everything, including aide Marlene and housekeeping Grace for your kindness always. Thank you RN Jessica S for your patience, timeliness, clear explanations, and doing everything to keep her comfortable. Special thanks and shoutout to RN Victoria who took care her the first night- you made an extremely scary and stressful night SEAMLESS and set the tone for her entire stay. You are truly an angel and the hospital is so lucky to have you! It’s also worth noting how much we appreciated all staff knocking and introducing themselves, the delicious food, the friendly staff who delivered the meals, the affordable guest trays, the pantry options, the individualized menu sheet for her therapeutic diet, the educational videos at discharge, the efficiency of the discharge lounge, and the friendliness of the transporter who took her to the car. We have been to many hospitals and healthcare facilities dealing with both acute and chronic health issues and this was truly #1. Thanks so much!

The nurses at the labor and delivery department are incredible! We came across the most compassionate nurse, Debbie, who spent almost the entire night following my daughter’s birth looking after both myself and my baby. She spent hours helping the baby latch on to feed and checked on me every hour. The entire experience from the reception to labor and delivery and the days following my baby’s birth are marked with incredible memories of extremely professional people who seemed to really care and enjoy what they do! We are very grateful! Thank you~ The one negative thing about the room was that there was no space for my husband to lie down at night and get some rest.

By far the best place around. If your serious about your recovery, this is the place. It’s not just all about the medication, it’s about the staff as well. My counselor, Sharece T saved my life. She goes above and beyond the call of duty and treats people as an individual, not a group, because we’re all different. She really took the time to get to know me and get to the root of the problem and checks up regularly to see if everything’s going well. I’ve been to many places, doctors, meetings and rehabs. No one has ever understood me better, witch is very important in recovery so you can be treated accordingly. I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m extremely grateful and blessed for my counselor Sharece. A huge thanks to this organization and most importantly, my counselor.

SHOUT OUT to the staff here..I have been to many many rehabs, and there is something different about these people, and this place..they are in my opinion, Earth Angels. No judgement, they really just want to help and are good humans! Also, the way they go about treatment, I felt really cared about , from the 1st day. I need a higher level of treatment but I will be going to Outpatient there after.. I can't recommend this place enough. They have no hard chairs that your ass goes numb from sitting in for hours, they have leather, lazy boy chairs, in the entire place, they have a quite room where you can rest if you are detoxing or dont feel good, they feed you great food, they have snacks and sodas and I was literally told "think of this place as your home away from home" and from the clinical staff, the nursing staff, the Dr., they're all special people. xoxoxoxo

I had the privilege of interacting with Nursing Director Tisha Ali during a recent visit to RWJ Hospital, and I cannot speak highly enough of her leadership and professionalism. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that her team operated with a high standard of excellence—something that reflects directly on her guidance and dedication. Tisha Ali brings a rare combination of warmth, compassion, and clinical expertise. She not only ensures that patients receive exceptional care, but she also creates a positive and respectful environment for staff, patients, and families alike. Her presence is reassuring, and she takes time to truly listen and address any concerns with empathy and efficiency. It’s leaders like Tisha who elevate the entire healthcare experience. I can honestly and sincerely say that the intensive outpatient program at High Focus legitimately changed my life. The science-backed, evidence-based multi-faceted program has provided me with the tools & strategies I need in my day to day life to handle intense emotions as well as process trauma in healthy and adaptive ways through anger management, emotional regulation, DBT, CBT, grounding & mindfulness techniques. Almost every day I find myself utilizing at least one of the techniques that I was taught at High Focus, whether that is Opposite Action, distress tolerance, STOP, boxed breathing, TIPP, HALT, cope ahead statements, etc. etc. I have truly grown, changed, improved and bettered myself as a person. The anger, outbursts, explosions, toxicity and inability to properly regulate my emotions have been replaced by properly applying the core principles if what I learned in IOP. Its not about never making mistakes. Its not about there never being steps backwards. Its about learning from the mistakes, not making the same ones and always talking the steps forward. I am able to do that now thanks to everything I learned at High Focus and I want to sincerely thank all of the staff there for helping me to do that. For anyone reading this, please know that it is 1000% possible for you to change your life TODAY. YOU have that power and YOU have that capability. Do not listen to what anyone else has to say -- YOU have the ability to CHANGE as a person. You just have to apply yourself. It's that simple and it's that hard. If you're considering High Focus, I highly encourage you to make that change today. It honestly changed my life.

High Focus saved my life. When I first walked in, I was struggling with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, guilt, shame, relationship issues, unhealthy coping strategies, trauma, battling with thoughts of giving up and abandonment – honestly, the list goes on. I felt completely lost and was stuck living in survival mode. But with the help of the caring and supportive staff, I was able to uncover strengths I didn’t even know I had, and rediscover the confident, beautiful person beneath all the pain. If you’re feeling lost or unsure where to turn, walking through those doors could change your life. The program works, but you get out of it what you’re willing to put in. Let it work for you. I miss all the staff and amazing friends I’ve met during my journey.

My wife and I used to teach at Good News Home. I have nothing but good to say about this organization. They show the love of God. Yes there are strict rules but the patients that go there must learn boundaries, what they can do and can't do. By doing good, you will learn to receive the Love of God and the Word.

There isn’t one negative thing I can say about this facility!! I was sure that I would get there and it would be dirty and sketchy and I’d hate it. But as soon as I walked in I could feel how much every single staff member ( aside from one) even down to housekeeping cared and came to work every day not just for a paycheck but to change lives! My detox was comfortable and if I had any issues they were looked into and handled immediately with respect and kindness. Shout out to Tom, Kevin, Liz, Heba, Alicia and so many others whose names are escaping me at the moment. If you’re thinking about getting help this is the place to be. On my last day I actually was emotional because it had felt like I was leaving family. Who says that about detox?!?! I never write reviews but this place deserved it without a doubt. You’ll leave feeling a huge weight lifted and feeling like you have community to fall back on if you ever need it. My life is so much better and I owe it to this facility. Keep it up guys because you’re all amazing!! And I can’t forget to give a shout out to Ann, the facility physician!! That woman will have you crying laughing and there is zero judgement. I hope to visit again one day just to check in with the people that saved me. I love you all!!!

I understand Hackettstown Hospital gets a bad reputation, but something that people have to understand is, it depends of the time and day and basically your luck. Not all hospitals holds up a 100% 5 star rating. Also not everyone who's had a good experience would think to add a good review on Google for a hospital, it's usually the bad that motivates someone to leave a review. In the past 15 years I've lived in hackettstown I've had a decent to great experience at hackettstown hospital, probably been there a handful of times for myself, my spouse, my kids and even when I had to accompany friends. The staff and doctors are usually nice and professional, the only annoying thing would be wait times but that's normal in hospitals. Sometimes it was fast. Anyway my point is I'd like to thank doctor Scott and the hospital staff who helped taking good care of my 7 year old autistic non verbal daughter, thank you for your patience, and care to make sure she was comfortable and that I was alright. You guys were awesome! (Date seen was 07/18/2025 in the am)

The doctors were knowledgeable and receptive with the exception of a few who didn’t read my chart and the ENT who was a total disappointment. My neck looked like I had mumps and he asked why he was there. The nurses went above and beyond again with the exception of one who had no empathy for elders, made me wait 45 mins-1 hour for simple requests. Another, who was otherwise good totally butchered my arm inserting an IV. I was given misinformation in the ER. I have a port and was told they couldn’t use it to access bloodwork. After my arm swelled and was raw from jabbing over and over, the nurse in inpatient noticed my port. To the contrary, they used it from then on without incident. This nurse never got the needle into the vein. The medication didn’t go into my blood, it shot out under my skin. Burning was unbearable and painful. The nurse lacking in patient care that I mentioned earlier, clearly was in some sort of power struggle to exert she was the boss. I found her controlling and smug behaviors bordering on abusive. The receptionists were good except on my last day. This person did not answer calls so I went out to the desk and he/she was no where to be found. God forbid you questioned them, your medicine would be withheld for an hour. They need to retrain nurses on how to insert an IV. I got tired of excuses about collapsing veins. If they know what they are doing, the IV process goes smoothly, collapsing veins or not. They also need to do something about the insulting and smug attitudes of senior nurses and how they treat patients. Overall, my stay of 5 days was good. There are always a few bad apples in every basket. I had one additional concern of which I’ve not experienced in Morristown, Hackensack or St. Clares medical centers. The additional service providers were locked into strict time management schedules with total disregard for patients. I was receiving a nebulizer treatment. The patient transition person insisted on asking me questions and interrupting my treatment. When I told her to stop interfering with treatment she got all nervy and said in an irritated voice that she was trying to help. I beg to differ. The only person she was helping was herself to meet her deadlines. She was however, ultimately the only one providing additional services, e.g. PT, OT, speech, who came back at a later time to complete transition services. The other therapists removed me from their schedules never bothering to perform services, but I would guess they received payment for stepping in and out of my room. The second speech therapist being the worst. The first, who was as on rotation from another hospital, was excellent. The second wanted to watch me eat a meal and when I said I’d prefer eating in private could she come back and watch me eat with applesauce, she removed me from her roster without any regard for the patient’s well being. If I hadn’t been hospitalized a number of of times in other hospitals, I wouldn’t have known any different. However, in no other hospital did staff disrupt meals due to inflexibility in meeting their own needs. These service providers were selfish and had no respect for patients’ privacy especially when the only highlight of laying in a hospital bed is unfortunately mealtime.

My experience at the PrincetonHouse inpatient mental health program was nothing short of healing. From the moment I arrived, the staff was professional, understanding, patient, and genuinely caring. They took the time to get to know me, supported me in identifying my personal goals, and helped create a plan that felt meaningful and achievable. I suffer from a seizure disorder as well and they ensured my medications were on time which lessoned my anxiety. What stood out most was how collaborative and thorough the care was—my psychiatrist even reached out to my outside treatment team to ensure continuity and consistency in my care, which made a huge difference in my progress. I left feeling more grounded, hopeful, and supported than I ever thought possible. I would highly recommend this program to anyone in need of compassionate and comprehensive mental health care.

I am writing this review because Dr. Mirza made an impact on my sons recovery and helped me in understanding the process. I work in the er and not from here but I did hear alot of repeat pts talk about there experience at Princeton. Finding myself on the other side with my son who started to self medicate himself for depression with street drugs, I turned to Princeton. He was treated as a human being and I was never left feeling unsured. I have the utmost respect for the great work you guys do under those circumstances. Dr.Mirza thankyou for helping us get my son back on track..Not having medcaid has been a challenge but the meds you described have worked and I am paying out of pocket for now but it works. God bless you all and if he ever needed help again, hands down Princeton is the place we will be driving too. A billion thanks Dr. MIRZA AND YOUR WONDERFUL STAFF. Nilda and Richard Farre
