This program was tough and just what I needed to do what I had to do to get right and learn how to be a woman of substance. I initially did not want to go because of the 6 months. Honestly probably could have used more than six months. I surrendered allowed the help to help me and did what they suggested, even when I didn’t want to. I learned how to be productive and responsible and most importantly to be real about my feelings, that’s when the healing began. 1/30/2024 I celebrated 15 years clean . I have the Anderson House to thank for setting the foundation of my recovery process

SHOUT OUT to the staff here..I have been to many many rehabs, and there is something different about these people, and this place..they are in my opinion, Earth Angels. No judgement, they really just want to help and are good humans! Also, the way they go about treatment, I felt really cared about , from the 1st day. I need a higher level of treatment but I will be going to Outpatient there after..
I can't recommend this place enough. They have no hard chairs that your ass goes numb from sitting in for hours, they have leather, lazy boy chairs, in the entire place, they have a quite room where you can rest if you are detoxing or dont feel good, they feed you great food, they have snacks and sodas and I was literally told "think of this place as your home away from home" and from the clinical staff, the nursing staff, the Dr., they're all special people. xoxoxoxo

Seriously the best clinic ever! I recently switched due to moving and it’s the biggest regret I’ve had yet in my 8 years of sobriety. I had no idea how lucky I was going to MCAC. They truly love you and treat you with respect. I’d give anything to go back here over where I’m at now. Complete 180. I went from the best clinic to the worst and regret it. If you don’t have to leave here, don’t do it. If you’re looking to get clean, go here! I promise. If you’re willing to do the work, this place WILL help! I have 8 years of sobriety thanks to them. Scared for my sobriety at the new clinic.

The staff at MCAC is exceptional. From the intake process to the regular meetings with counselors, everyone is incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. The clinic’s counselors truly listen and work with patients to create individualized treatment plans. They are always available for guidance, and genuinely care about their patients progress. The nurses and medical staff ensure that dosing is properly managed, safely administered and adequate to sustain recovery. I went to this facility for a planned same-day surgery. The facility is very clean and modern appearing. The staff were all very kind and knowledgeable. I was rather anxious leading up to the procedure and the nurses were excellent with thoroughly explaining what to expect. This, coupled with excellent bedside manner helped to calm my nerves. This was my first time at this facility but based on my experience, I would highly recommend!

We unfortunately, had to take my daughter into the emergency room Saturday night to get stitches put in. She is only three years old.Leah and The team of nurses were excellent they took care of my daughter, and they supported me as a parent. The best decision was to take her there and I am so grateful my daughter is recovering amazingly. They did everything right. I am beyond grateful for them.

My daughter went here for detox. The nurses on that unit, mainly Raquel Williams, was horrible! No patience, no empathy or kindness. If you ask her for something, you were told to wait, and she would always say "I'm only one person". If you can't do your job effectively and properly, maybe you shouldn't be working in this field. People go here for help not to be treated like they're criminals or a burden. I called and left multiple messages for a case worker or supervisor to call me and no one bothered to return my calls. My daughter was left alone to detox, her roommate was the only person to help her. These places are supposed to be structured to help ease the detox process, not make it more of a nightmare. DO NOT GO HERE OR SEND YOUR LOVED ONES!

They deal with a lot. They can range from extremely helpful, to them being overwhelmed, but it is not them being inconsiderate they just have a lot of clients.
Barbara is the star of the show here. She is empathetic and truly cares. She goes above and beyond for her patients and I believe she is what keeps this place running smoothly!

I would strongly avoid this place. I was required to do a follow up assessment from the IDRC. I met with a male doctor (PhD) which he seemed only interested in checking boxes, barely looked at me nor did he seem to care about anything regarding my past history or what is going on in my life. In addition given I was there for an IDRC assessment you would think a shrink would ask you about your life, family, job, etc..., however he did not. This doctor literally doesn't care about the patient he is strictly there to make money and that is all. It states on their website that they "provide satisfactory service to all our clients, so that they may maintain their livelihood and improve upon the relationship with themselves and significant others" clearly they do not, considering they just check boxes have no concern about your needs/life and they surely do not care about ones livelihood. If a psychologist doesn't seem to care there is a huge issue, only about the money! DO NOT GO HERE!!

I recently had the pleasure of interfacing with Ashley, a case manager at Summit Oaks Hospital and her counterpart Claire. From time to time as a psychotherapist, my clients need in-patient/crisis care, and I have to collaborate with staff at local facilities. In my experience it is extremely rare to find such a caring, competent social worker as Ashley in these cases. She was a compassionate and determined advocate for the patient and showed great diligence in keeping me updated and "in the loop." Ashley and Claire make a strong team, and I could rest easy knowing our mutual patient was in good hands and was not going to "fall through the cracks." Sadly, this is often not the case and in writing this review, I feel that Ashley and Claire at Summit Oaks deserve both my gratitude as well as recognition for their excellence!

I went to this mental hospital at April first ! It’s very good , staff cares about u , friends in there . I made a lot of friends and they support you! , they are really kind and care about your health but they are strict rules that I don’t understand , like I get it . Hugging + touching isn’t allowed which I am a really touchy friend and I love being hugged at and this mental hospital is great again ! I made a few friends in here even though the rules said that you’re here to be better , not to make friends .. but it’s still great!! , this hospital helped me a lot through my hard rough times at my own thoughts !! :3
i would give it as a 4★ because it’s great experience , have fun in there , make new friends , listen to the rules in the mental hospital . It can be scary first but I’ve been there , but one of the staffs were really rude to this guy that was friends with forest (preferred name I think) and they told him to shut up while he was singing in the shower .. that’s one problem I had with this hospital .. but it’s still a great mental hospital , it’s just one of the staffs need to improve their behavior more..
But here is the actual story I had and experience
I got pulled out of a stretcher and some girl (an adult) took a photo of me signing I was here for help . My parents had to sign a signature for me to stay here untill I got better , I had to wait a full Hour to order to get asked by questions , I had to answer 29 QUESTIONS such as suicide , self harm , etc , or did I get graped . Later I had a lot of friends complementing me about my hair and looking cute , I smiled and appreciate it. But the rules were “You’re here to get better not make friends , no touching “ blah blah wtver some stuff , then we have rooms . The staff would tell us to go back to our rooms if we got out , we either just hang out or take a shower. We get snacks at the room time when we get hungry . We also have orders and have koolaid drinks , the meals are awesome and the drink . We have to drink koolaid 24/7 in the mental hospital . Some of the teachers of there are wonderful ( yes we have classes in the mental hospitals and teachers can send us homework + work in the mental hospital ) people are rlly nice and friendly and all of that stuff and I got used to it being here and I just had to recover from my suicidal thoughts from my bullying (it’s back in 5th grade) and my mom emailed I was in the mental hospital when I was out ) blades , something sharp to cut your self , they will take it away from you , including hairbrush , my hairbrush took away because it had a rope in the end?? It was very small and it didn’t made sense because that rope was small , I had to borrow the mental hospitals brush in order to brush my hair ?? , it sucked because I wouldn’t have my OWN brush to brush my hair , it completely sucked , I enjoyed with my friend as my roommate , I had forest as my friend and the other girl as my roommate , she was really kind and she had a weird thing for bananas but I really didn’t care much because anyone can be what they want to be ..

First let me start by saying that I never leave reviews but I’m left speechless! my 2 year old has been getting consistent blood work since she was born and we have gone through many phlebotomist that have had to poke her multiple times in order to get a successful blood draw. This has lead to much stress and many tears and trauma. We came in for our routine bloodwork and Francis did an excellent job ! He had such a gentle hand my daughter didn’t even flinch, he was able to get a successful blood draw within the first try (which has never happened with anyone else) I would definitely recommend to ask for him if you have littles in need of blood work.

I was in serious trouble with alcohol and substance abuse not to long ago, so I finally decided to reach out for help and I have to say it has been the best thing that I ever did for myself thanks to NJRC. The entire staff is excellent from the front desk, the administrators to all of the Clinical therapists, Medical staff and Case Managers. If you are in trouble with alcohol, substance abuse and mental health, I would highly recommend NJRC to anyone looking for help.They will definitely give you the help that you need. My life has changed so much for the better with the help of everyone at NJRC. Did I mention the yoga classes, gym availability and the excellent lunches, compliments of NJRC.
