Anderson House, in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, is a 12 step focused drug and alcohol rehab for adult women. They offer dual diagnosis care, long term residential care, and transitional and aftercare support. Their primary treatment modalities include psychotherapy, recovery focused life skills training, and evidence based complementary care. An
This program was tough and just what I needed to do what I had to do to get right and learn how to be a woman of substance. I initially did not want to go because of the 6 months. Honestly probably could have used more than six months. I surrendered allowed the help to help me and did what they suggested, even when I didn’t want to. I learned how to be productive and responsible and most importantly to be real about my feelings, that’s when the healing began. 1/30/2024 I celebrated 15 years clean . I have the Anderson House to thank for setting the foundation of my recovery process

I went here and left early due to personal reasons. Everyone was so welcoming. I was there during Christmas and the Russian lady made me feel so welcomed. Aliya the alumni coordinator needs a raise. Even though I was there for so little she made me feel welcomed and has invited me to the alumni events. Thank you 🙏

Rolling Hills Recovery Review The best way to describe Rolling Hills Recovery Center(RHRC) would be a “well-oiled machine”. As I sit here writing this, I am on the cusp of 15 months of sobriety. It has taken me up until now to finally write my review-not because I didn’t want to- but because I was too busy LIVING life. Due to that, I am able to reflect on things and give an honest review. DISCLAIMER: Do not make Rolling Hills a part of your recovery if you like to be treated as a number. If you thrive in a ‘One Size Fits All” approach, then Rolling Hill may not be a good fit for you. When my journey first started, I spoke to the Admissions Team on a whim. I knew that I needed some help and didn’t know where to start. Rachael and Zea helped guide me through the process and stuck with me while I navigated being a mother to two little ones. We came up with a plan to start at Rolling Hills a couple of weeks later, while I had time to get my ducks in a row. Everyday, I spoke with either Rachael or Zea. They helped keep my head above water. Upon arriving at the RHRC facility, I was alone in a way that I had never been before. States away from my family and supports. I was expecting to walk into a sterile, hospital-like setting but the center was welcoming, modern and bright. It was a quiet Saturday at the center and I was met by very welcoming staff to complete the intake process. I somehow knew that I had made the right decision, despite my hesitancy. RHRC’s approach to Recovery and over-all wellness can not be matched. When choosing RHRC, you are choosing a multifaceted program. For myself, this included the Sober living accommodations. To me, this was an added extension of care that made long term recovery possible. Chelsea, Scott, Cheryln, Anna, the Mike’s and Chris truly provided the extra support that I needed. Being away from my family was such a difficult decision, but I knew that I was not alone at any point during my care. RHRC utilizes an all-encompassing philosophy that is specific to each individual in their care. This includes individual counseling, various counseling groups, and psychiatry. Holistic groups such as yoga, art therapy, music therapy and equine therapy are also offered. Everyone in the clinic goes above and beyond and genuinely wants to see you succeed. SHOUT OUT to BRIAN, Kerri, Cammie, Doreen, Abby, Brie, Elena, Moira, Caroline, Chloe and Bobbi! It’s important for me to note that we put in the work and lots of it. The schedule is packed from morning until night. I did some serious self-reflection. Sundays were less structured but included spending time with my family and going on group excursions(hiking, fishing, Top Golf, for example) Rolling Hills Recovery Center provided me with the tools that were needed to succeed prior to leaving my time there. Recovery is truly a journey, not a destination. While I miss the entire staff and the friendships that were cultivated with my “housemates”, the door stays open. There are frequent alumni get togethers and even a weekly alumni meeting that can be in person or virtual. Access to an app is also convenient for accountability and check-in. I know that support is only a call or visit away. So, if you’re still reading, you may be just like me. I too read the reviews, barely managed my chaotic life, white-knuckled through the day… What do you really have to lose by taking the jump? Not a dang thing. You are worthy of a great life. You matter. WE do recover and life is so much better once you start to live it.

Sunrise cherry hill was a godsend. The nurse Sydney is absolutely the sweetest person you'll ever meet. I went there over a year ago and and she remembered me and made sure my stay there was comfortable. Unfortunately I've stayed at quite a few other facilities and NEVER was treated with such respect and kindness that she treated me with. She deserves a raise lol! On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. He told me over and over in an annoyed and stern voice as I was in tears to call back at 9am. Im just lucky im not someone who is WAY more fragile and sensitive amd nothing terrible happened 🥺

I had a very good experience at Absolute Awakenings, I came in from detox for alcoholism and completed the PHP program at Absolute Awakenings. The staff was attentive, professional and encouraging. Nicole who was my clinician was great, she really helped me in our one on one sessions and in my relapse prevention plan. I can’t say enough about the professional staff, Matt, Amy, Dina,Courtney, Kayla, Brian, Jamie and Nicole, Thank you for the foundation to begin my recovery journey and the courage to admit I’m an alcoholic and not care what people think. I am a spouse of an individual that just completed a 28 day inpatient treatment plan. To be honest I am not even sure how we ended up with this provider, however it ended up being a true blessing. Not only was my husband taken good care of, I received several calls from his clinician to provide updates regarding his status, but also them checking on how I was doing and asking if I had any questions/concerns. I was also given their contact numbers in case I needed to reach them at any point. My family feels very fortunate that our Husband/father ended up at this facility.

I'm writing this for the creative person who thinks rehab is gonna be all lectures and coping skills worksheets and compliance training...or new agey feel good enabling BS. (because I went through that at another place…and I’m a feisty, rebellious performer, who fell all the way to hell through my addiction.) Moving Mountains is an adventure based program. And that's not just "fun." that’s a major part of the treatment…hiking, skiing, ropes course…Healthy risks…Movement. self Mastery. Making something…learning that I can DO things that make me feel better…They teach you how to deal with crap on the deepest levels, to get it out. So like…in my case…there is less to want to escape. Easier to stay sober. Joy…peace…fun. Stress: life. Tools Sobriety doesn't have to be gray and grim. It can light up your brain as much as getting high did. I mean that…kinda literally. Skydiving…for real…if you do the work…it’s part of the program. At completion. It's not a "creative arts program." BUT: creative work is an option. For me it was a key. A Big key. I had no idea how much my creative shutdown and grief were feeding my addiction…really, almost no idea. I am a singer. And I saw people transform through singing (like me…), guitar, piano, making beats, DJing, poetry, dance, voice work...even building comedy routines. You could literally see someone's eyes and posture shift over days. The staff are Actually client centered. At Moving mountains, that means you're treated like a human being. Not a diagnosis and not a compliance project. They help you remember want you want, connect you to your dreams again. They don't “punish you into right thinking.” That’s still a very common approach, I’ve heard from so many people in recovery meetings. But there are boundaries and clear expectations...because that's what actually leads to an easier, fun life. I was not the easiest client. I had to learn to be patient and respectful…not just to others. To myself. It's also not 12 step only preaching club. Super strong recovery culture...but you're allowed to explore what works for you, (there's even a Zen teacher who comes!) The housing is for real beautiful and in beautiful communities. Not "nice for rehab." Actually nice. It's weird to miss rehab. Like a paradox. But I do. My time at Moving Mountains has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

I can’t say enough good things about Jonathan from Excel . From the moment I started working with him, he made me feel genuinely comfortable and welcomed, which is not easy when you’re dealing with something as personal as addiction. He has a way of creating a safe, judgment-free space where you can actually open up without hesitation. Jonathan is extremely knowledgeable, and it shows in how he approaches every conversation with care and intention. He doesn’t just listen—he really understands, and he’s very mindful of your feelings and personal experiences. I felt respected and never rushed or dismissed. Out of all the counselors I’ve worked with in drug and alcohol treatment, Jonathan has been the best by far. His professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail truly set him apart. My wife and I used to teach at Good News Home. I have nothing but good to say about this organization. They show the love of God. Yes there are strict rules but the patients that go there must learn boundaries, what they can do and can't do. By doing good, you will learn to receive the Love of God and the Word.

SHOUT OUT to the staff here..I have been to many many rehabs, and there is something different about these people, and this place..they are in my opinion, Earth Angels. No judgement, they really just want to help and are good humans! Also, the way they go about treatment, I felt really cared about , from the 1st day. I need a higher level of treatment but I will be going to Outpatient there after.. I can't recommend this place enough. They have no hard chairs that your ass goes numb from sitting in for hours, they have leather, lazy boy chairs, in the entire place, they have a quite room where you can rest if you are detoxing or dont feel good, they feed you great food, they have snacks and sodas and I was literally told "think of this place as your home away from home" and from the clinical staff, the nursing staff, the Dr., they're all special people. xoxoxoxo

My name is Lucio Torcivia. I am a client at Morris County aftercare. I just wanna say this is the best clinic that has helped me so much. My counselor Regina is the best. She’s always there and ready to help me in any situation all the counselors one specifically Betsy, who’s been there for very long time she’s always at the middle window with a smile on her face to greet me or anybody in that case And the head nurse I forgot his name. He’s a great man too. Everybody, everybody in that clinic will always open their arms to help you trust me. I’ve been there for almost 8 years now and I wouldn’t wanna go anywhere else and thank God I’m starting to do good in life. It took a while, but nobody ever gave up on me especially Regina. She never gave up on me and now I’m finally I can say that I’m clean one day at a time I would like to thank everyone at Morris County after care for the smiles the warm welcomes and all the help that I’ve needed through my course in life. I’ve never have been in a clinic better than Morris County aftercare in Denville. They are aces in my book. Just want to thank everyone there, especially Regina and the whole medical staff Betsy everyone they’re just a great bunch of people.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ If anyone is struggling with drugs, especially opiates I recommend this program because it’s the best one and if I can do it one day at a time you can do it. I’ve had consistently positive experiences referring clients to this program. Ed and the entire staff at Rolling Hills Recovery Center are professional, responsive, and genuinely compassionate. I’m incredibly grateful for the experience I had at this mental health treatment center. From the beginning, I felt welcomed, heard, and treated with genuine compassion. Mental health struggles can be incredibly difficult to navigate, and having a team that makes you feel safe, understood, and supported can make such a difference. The staff truly took the time to listen and understand me as an individual rather than making me feel like just another patient. I appreciated the patience, kindness, and encouragement I received throughout my time there. I learned more about myself, developed tools to better manage what I was going through, and felt supported throughout the process. I would highly recommend this center to anyone who may be struggling with their mental health or is looking for a supportive place to begin their healing journey. I’m very thankful for the care I received and for the people who were there for me when I needed support the most.

Wellness Hills was a great program for me. I entered here lost, scared and full of anxiety. Every staff member in the building helped me get to where I am today after 2 months of IOP treatment. I attended all groups and put in the work to better myself.Special thanks to my therapist Abby and to Michael with setting up my aftercare. Although I am no longer here, this facility will always have a special place in my heart. If you are struggling with your mental health, I highly recommend this place.

I am giving 5 star for this place. My kid was transferred from other out patient program. I definitely experienced what a big difference the service of High Focus comparing the other one. The facility might not be shining, but the service was right on spot. The staff are very experienced. They are calm, professional and compassionate. They don't response on minute to my email. But they know when to communicate with me and listen to all my important observation. They conducted the treatment in the right pace and told me to be patient when I was super worried. They provides parent education sessions which is very useful. The front office is also very friendly and responsible. I would highly recommend this place if you are searching the out patient program.
