I was a resident of Berkshire Farms from August 25th 1995 to August 25th of 1996. I was in Paul Hahn cottage. I remember Mr Daniels, Mr Pinkston, Shook, Matt, and The overnight guy Dell. We loved Dell because he used to smoke cigarettes and could never smell if we were smoking because he was so old and always fell asleep in the chair at night. Mr Burke. I remember Lonis he was in a strong man competition or tough man fighting competition or something like that. Remember black guy Mr Evans he was a good friend of Mike Tyson. I remember Vinny from naughty by nature serving us food one day in the chow hall. Lot of memories from that place From there I was shipped to the Schrader house group home in Yaphank on Long Island. It has now been taken over by The game farm.

I was at Berkshire Farms from 1995 to almost 1997 i was in the cottage all the way up the hill and to the left I think it was Robert's cottage. Ms. Harrington was the counselor there it was a cool little spot had it's own school on campus I played on the basketball team and on the soccer team. I liked that we got to go off campus and play other schools and we got to do home leaves for the weekend once a month I think thats what it was but it was a cool little place I remember hoping out the windows and getting into a few fights lol they had pool tables and things to occupy your time I met some cool dudes in that place I hope they're doing good in life these days

Methadone maintenance is the gold standard for opiate addiction for a reason. This stuff works, in addition I’ll add my counselor Katie is a straight up G. She truly cares about her clients. The rest of the admin staff is lovely as well. Our dosing nurses are fast and friendly. The only negative is the head nurse zaria or whatever, she leaves ALOT to be desired to say the least. How she is a medical professional at all is honestly a mystery.

There is so much space to move around so other guests generally keep to themselves and there is little drama. My only complaint is that some of the lower-level staff (namely Beth, Nathan, Michael) are rude and think they have power over the guests. But the more important staff members (intake, doctors, directors) are extremely kind and professional. You will not find this same level of care from the upper-staff at Spring Lake Ranch.

As a child of parents who worked at Gould Farm in the 1970s-1980s, I can attest to its trusting, fun, and purposeful community setting. I never distinguished between staff and guests because we were all just neighbors, friends, community members. The more I experience the world, the more I appreciate my childhood at Gould Farm!

I use to come here for years and then I moved and have been guest dosing - my husband and I - and there’s no clinic available in the area not even Kingston. My home clinics still Binghamton - I emailed and emailed and no response a whenever i go in their busy. They know me, They were both my counselors before I left. I just need to have my insurance cover bc it’s expensive and taking from my kids and I cannot keep borrowing. Please 🙏 just let us be patients there or help us set up a can every day 4 hours a day to get to Binghamton. But doing that will affect me working. Idk im just fed up and I wish I wasn’t on the dose I am or I’d just stop. Yet id still give 5 stars bc everyone is just really sweet.

I've posted a few comments what's important is that the program works they now let u smoke bud also something alot of us worried about for take-homes but things WILL NOT always go your way I guess my advice to myself and others is simply keep going even if it gets rough and feels hard keep going even if you know your clean and a test says otherwise false positives or whatever they might be, just know that in the long run it is saving your life!!

This place saved my life….. I don’t even know where to start. They welcomed me in with open arms in a judgement free zone, made sure I had everything I needed for food, hygiene, meds, and general support. EVERY SINGLE STAFF member was caring and attentive to my needs from check in to check out. I can’t thank and recommend this place enough….. huge specific shout outs to little Kayla, Jim, Rodger, Dave, and I forgot her name but the lady that does the meditation! I stumbled upon hope house accidentally. I was new to the city of Albany. I ended up in a rough situation and was kicked on the streets pregnant with 3 children. It was freezing cold and my children and I were not dressed correctly to be on the streets in the winter weather. I was having a panic attack and needed help. I thought this place was an apartment building and began knocking and ringing the bell frantically. The staff and women there were so supportive and loving to me and my children. They had no reason to open the door and let us get warm. They had no reason to offer my children a bite to eat. Instead they did those thing and then sat there with me for the entire day making phone call after phone call when the police failed to help me. I will forever be grateful for there assistance, love and kindness that day. I was only there for a day as I waited to find a DV shelter as my situation wasn’t quite what hope house is there for but the kindness and love I felt from every single person in that building was something I’ll never forget. If your struggling with addiction I KNOW they will welcome you and your babies with loving arms and support.

This is an edit of my original review because they have since removed the urine smell. I absolutely adore my therapist Ashley and how adaptive AMC Psychiatry has been with me, especially when I needed to change my appointment time to fit my new work schedule. I also find the front staff people to be very friendly and kind. Only thing I wish to change is the front lobby smells a little musty and it puts me off quite a bit. Luckily I'm not in there for too long, but it's still bothersome

Martin loudin not sure why you fell you got lied to. Its a 6 to 9 month program and im sure nobody told you he would be in for 31 days when its a long term program. I was not in this house i was at hope house bette center. I can tell you first hand its not about the money. I did 16 months and enjoyed the fruits that i got out of the program. These people care.

I'm not sure were to start. Besides having a wonderful family, friends and a few staff at Soldier On to help (really above and beyond) me in my recovery (still have a little more to do) The staff at Hillcrest Commons are just the most caring group of people. I wish I could put their names down individually but I can't thank you all enough. From the RNs, LPNs, Aids, PT/OT, Kitchen crew, Cleaners, Social Workers, Maintenance, Laundry and I'm sure I'm missing some others but what a good team. All shifts work pretty darn well together. I like that they hear your concerns and if they don't have the answer, they will try and find it. Thank you. 4.85 🌟 out of 5 🌟 Hillcrest 10.0 🌟 out of 5 🌟 Family I would recommend Hillcrest Commons Rehabilitation for those who need it.
