Ive been to alot of different rehabs over the years and most of the staff and counselors are rude and could care less about the addicts. But the Catskill Twin County facility is absolutely amazing! The staff and counselors are very courteous and truly do care about the addicts that are coming there for treatment. They are all very down to earth and are easy to talk to, and actually seem like they care and give a shit! When i was going to group there i use to actually look forward to going. I cant say enough good things about them! If i could i would give them a 6 star rating.

I went there for outpatient surgery with Dr. Marici. The nurses were great and Dr. Marici and his staff did a wonderful job. I got to hospital at 8 and surgery didn’t begin until 12:45pm so prepare for long wait, at least with him. Go to 3RD floor. The woman who called day before said 1st and we walking all over the place and no clear signs. Staff and visitors helpful in helping locate. Room warm for me, cold for others. I’ve seen scarves thicker than blanket so bring own. They give you a locker. Bring own bag if you want to store clothes. Bathroom with toilet is very tiny, not suitable for large person. Sink is in room. My husband left shortly while I was waiting in the room. There is a monitor with your own assigned number that states your in surgery. DON’T pay attention to it. I WAS NOT in surgery and finally called him to ask where he was. If you leave, go right to room. Hospital is old and cramped but suitable. The hospital could have some small improvements as stated above, but went well. Nurses, staff all professional and very nice.

Had a Total Knee replacement. Process had many steps taking time but everything was logical and explained. Excellent guidance through the matrix. Day of surgery everything proceeded with military precision - and success! Only 4 stars due to less than stellar pain management policies. I have a high tolerance to analgesics and it took a very painful post op day for them to get this.

I have never been so disappointed in my life, I took my mother to this center because many people recommended it to me, first of all the costumer service was horrible from the receptionist to the doctors. I don't have any doubt the staff in there only work for the money they get, they don't care for the patients and in case of an emergency they didn't let me communicate with my mom. She came out worse than she came in. The hospital should close.

It is what you make of the services offered. Staff is generally nice, I mean you always have people who hate there jobs and are miserable everywhere so, you just deal with it. Most of them are pleasant. I really like the Romanian doctor, she made a very positive impression on me and she is such a sweetheart. I must say though, the interior of the facility could use some cosmetic rehabilitation, better beds in the dorms, more readily accessible snack food, not just saltines lol, better food period. If these things were addressed this would be a 4 or maybe even a 5 star review. AGAIN and MOST IMPORTANTLY, IT IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF THE SERVICES AVAILABLE. RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE!! YOU JUST HAVE TO MAKE THE DECISION AND WORK HARD. IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE AND NOTHING TRULY WORTH WHILE COMES EASY. 🙂✌️

*Important* u have to bring ur own 30 day supply of your medications. I'll start with one of the most important things for me: I'm a transgender man who was treated with dignity and respect by the staff and clients alike. Rehab reviews never talk about what places are safe for us so just wanted to say that. Most of the staff rly cares. Place is clean. Food is mid. Beds are mid. But u know what? I knew where I was going to sleep that night, I knew I was safe. I knew I had 3 hot meals a day that I didn't have to search, beg for, or steal. I knew I could take a shower every day, even twice if I wanted. Laundry. Etc. The point of this center is to get u away from your life for 30 days to let ur brain and body recover from the hell you've been living in due to addiction. This is a hospital setting so there's tons of weird and frankly ridiculous rules like "no exercising" (u can power walk around the court yard but thats it) bc it's some kind of liability to the hospital?? Idk just do push ups in ur room w the door closed. Most addicts know how to work around rules and manipulate a system so just make the best of it. But fr it's insane to see and hear ppl complain about this place as if it's not a respite from being sick tired miserable. The ppl who complained the most I chalked it up to their life hasn't gotten bad enough yet to be truly ready for recovery. They don't seem to understand that the opportunity to be here is a blessing that ppl in many states will never have the chance to get. The NY healthcare system is better than any other state I've lived in. There are many ppl in other places who will never have the opportunity to go to rehab. I had a one day relapse a month after I left and now have 1 year and 11 months sober. Beginning my recovery journey here was exactly what I needed to separate my mind and body from the hell I was in. Thank u to the staff from Nov 2023. Nicole is the reason I decided to stay sober when I left. I had given up hope of staying sober during my stay but she had a long talk with me the night before I left that really changed my life.

Place has hella mice and roaches, they don’t have alternative options when it comes to foods that people may not eat, they also give you small portions of food that’s not enough to fill a toddler up, they have a revolving door of counselors meaning they’re either quitting or being fired for not doing their job, it’s always short staffed, people constantly come in to the program and still get high, there’s a lot of favoritism towards certain clients, honestly, this place is probably the worst rehab in all of New Jersey.
