Honestly the best possible experience I could have for inpatient mental health care. I've been to ECMC, Brylin, Niagara Falls Memorial, UPMC Chautauqua. This place by far beats all of them. A not-so-scary environment (i.e. welcoming staff, small unit, etc); doesn't feel punitive like other psychiatric units, and I could tell these folks genuinely wanted to see recovery. From the nice young lady at registration in the ER, to the nurse taking care of me in the ER, then staff in the mental health unit, I have to say everyone was lovely. I really appreciate the care I received. I hope I won't need the hospital again, but if I do, I'd come here over anywhere else. Thank you!

I have been a patient here many times in different units. The med/surg and surgical doctors have listened to me at each stay, and the specialist followed me outpatient and is actually trying to find what is causing my symptoms. I have been to other specialist outpatient clinics at Strong for the same issues and was ignored. Their psychiatric care is top notch. I have been to Strong's CPEP and it was terrifying. When I have needed psychiatric care at Warsaw I feel human, respected, and listened to. They work with me and even are the ones that ordered a genetic test to see what meds I would respond to (that was completely life changing). The nurses and techs care and do everything they can to be supportive, listen, and advocate. The food is even pretty good for hospital food! 1 star was taken off, as being a health care facility there are always a few bad eggs that you run into, but the absolute vast majority of nurses, doctors, tech, housekeepers, greeters....etc are absolutely wonderful and care deeply and it shows in the care they provide. I have even reccomended family to go their over neighboring hospitals/ED because providers at Warsaw LISTEN. Wait times are shorter to be seen, and the nurses and doctors have actually listened to me and seen me as a human being.

I’ve been using their services for a lot of years. As soon as you enter , your met with a person at the window. Wait time is never longer than 10 mins and if it goes beyond that , simply for to the check in window to let them know what’s happening with appts.
I have never met a single Dr, NP, nurse or therapist that is rude there. I’d say this, maybe the client was rude and demanding. I’ll controlled use their services as long as they are there.

Was in serious car accident Aug 27 2020 had concussion and was knock out hr or more had vistublar issues memory loss and PTSD issues which was effecting my personal life and relationship and I treated a few different places ...but what made a big difference was one caring truly amazing loving person ......her name is sally taylor ...she took her time helped me open up and stop. Trying to avoid this traumatic event and see it was not my fault and learn to stay positive and not trying to hide and avoid a terrible situation but to open up about it and realize this was not my fault but caused by a careless older gentleman not paying attention when he slammed into the vehicle I was in and I now have some permanent disability even after under going multiple different operations......she help me try to see the positive not like life time disabilities Iam facing.......she is a true caring loving and looks out for her patients no matter what your age or color or race like you are one of her own children and teaches positivity and not to concentrate on negativity......she might not be some young counselor but uses her life time learned knowledge to try to instil positive thoughts into her patients life and show them no matter how bad anything is or may seem always instead seek out the postuve things not the negative kinda like when the devil whispers in your ear ....ignore him. And instead harking to the angel on your shoulder.......this is the real counselor Sally Tayler kind caring individual always out to put others first and help them seek positivity in your life......and she has help me thru and faces a bad dark time in my life ......she is always there to help folks and your very lucky to have here ......she is the best possibly counselor any one can ever get

No matter where you end up in recovery, any rehab you join can ultimately work for you if you make it work for you. With this being said, I'm not here to tell you if it's bad or good rehab...I've had both experiences here. But one thing is for certain, this place was an integral part of my success in my own recovery. I owe them that at least. I do want to highlight one thing, more than anything, this was amazing for me and I know it can be for you. Some of the staff and security were amazing. Dustin the security guy was there for me literally since day one. There has been times where past counselors and medical staff have been very useless on what needed to be done, and no matter the situation was I always felt better thanks to Dustin. He took the time to tell me hello and ask how I'm doing or even just passing along shouts of encouragement. And that has been all I needed after such times where maybe the place couldn't help me. But he did. Tom as well. And if you don't think that's such a big deal, they are both a huge part of what is and will be keeping me on the right path. It was a blessing I can take with me forever.

I have been with unity chemical dependency for a while now. All of the staff in outpatient and the majority of staff in inpatient are compassionate and were essential for my recovery. My outpatient therapist is always ready to listen and give incredible support and resources. I don't think I would be in recovery if it weren't for my therapist, Sam. My life has been saved. I have improved my quality of life, as well as my relationships. I highly recommend unity chemical dependency for those who struggle with addiction. I went in yesterday and was surprised to see the new recreational center they created for Veterans. There's snacks, a pool table, and a great staff that work there. The whole Veterans Outreach Center has been good to me since I got out of the Navy in 2005. I sense there's a lot more they've done for me that I don't realize and for that if so I'm forever grateful. Thank you to all the staff and the community for your help. I go here for chemical dependency therapy, and after years of battling addiction and being on the losing side of the battle, I am finally winning my battle. And a big part of that is to the phenomenal help I get from my therapist and MAT dr. At Evelyn Brandon. My therapist is such a sweetheart. I can call or email her anytime of any day and she'll respond as soon as she can and help me through whatever. They act as more than drug counselors, they're life counselors too.
Plus I have a once a week group zoom meeting that I attend through Evelyn Brandon as well that I've gained some real close bonds with other recovering addicts so that I know that I'm never alone in this life long battle against my demons.
I recommend this place to anyone who wants to get help with either their mental health &/or their drug&/or alcohol addictions.. trust me, life is so much better being free from substances. It feels great!

I used to live there 15/16 and they saved my life. I would love to be able to find Mr. Howard that worked there around 98/99 and tell him thank you. His belief in me turned me into a great mother and I've never been in trouble since. Please if anyone knows how to find him or lead me in the direction of him, let me know. Tell him I just need him to know I appreciate him and his sacrifices for me and the rest of the children that needed an ear to listen to us. I will never forget you. I'm forever grateful.

Was placed in freedom building with Joe as the Head of the faculty Great guy !!! And my counselor Lea Mathers was the best counselor iv had in 20 year struggle today I'm 3 years clean of Herion and phetty Iaint touched a needle since !!! Saved my life at Freedom Village!!!

Been going here for 4 years, pretty good experience with therapists just had to find the right one for me. Psychiatrist are very knowledgeable and not into pushing pills and not into seeing you suffer from side effects. Front desk is also helpful good at keeping track of appt.’s. Phone service is meh nice takes half hour on hold lately which causes me to set time aside for calls.

Not sure where all the negative reviews come from. I have taken my now 15 year old here on and off since he was 11. The only gripe I have is that if you go too long between appointments they close your account and you have to do a new intake. He has had two doctors and the second one, Sean is amazing. He has really helped my son. When there are little mental health options available, IMO, you should leave reviews with care. I have never had any issues with the intake staff or the the doctors. They have always been nice, and professional.

This is one of the GED test centers. Staff was very friendly. Difficult to find the entrance to this place though. You need go in the driveway just to the right of the Tops driveway, drive all the way back to the train tracks then there is a gate to the right. Entrance to the Action For A Better Community building is by the small red roof.
