I went there not knowing what to expect. I got an assessment from Brandy and she was very easy to talk to and helped me understand the process and calm my nerves. The sessions that Brandy held were informative and actually helpful. Being a long time addict, I didn't think I had anything left to learn. The group setting was great for conversation and learning what I didn't know I didn't know. Brandy is an amazing counselor with a giant heart, You will be well taken care of if you go see her.

I graduated this program in 2016. I had my daughter while I was there. I wasnt the easiest client to deal with. I gave them hell. Had a horrible attitude. Was so ungrateful. Looking back im so grateful for this program. They took me in with just the clothes on my back, got me hooked up with medicaid and foodstamps as well as a strong support system within the program. They offer parenting classes, therapy, child therapy, case workers, they house you while you are there and make sure you have somewhere safe to stay when you leave. I was allowed an extension by 2 months just to make sure I had somewhere to go since I was homeless when I came in. The staff are stern in policy but they truly care! They wouldn't be in this if they didnt! That's for sure! My daughter will be 10 in a couple months and I catch myself using the things I learned in parenting classes I took here before she was even born! I stop by there from time to time hoping to see some of the workers that were there when I was, and there are still several there!. Im forever grateful for unc horizons and I would highly suggest this place to any mother who is truly ready to get their life back!

God bless Sherry Rider, the goat 🐐 She has been an absolute savior in my life in terms of helping me regain my psychological, emotional, and mental health, and restoring my sense of identity and normalcy. I truly appreciate her transparency, authenticity, and genuine compassion and support for her group members, all grounded in mutual respect from both sides. What stood out most for me is how easy it was to connect with Sherry. She has a real ability to resonate with many walks of life, which is extremely important when it comes to understanding people’s needs in therapy. She’s one of those rare professionals who can bring both real insight and real humanity into the room at the same time. Honestly, I’m grateful for the impact she’s had on my journey.

Greensboro, North Carolina makes up the Piedmont Triad, along with High Point and Winston-Salem. Since 2005 Crossroads has provided specialized opioid addiction care to over 25,000 people monthly across nine states. Crossroads of Greensboro, NC welcomes adults seeking recovery. They accept self-pay, multiple private insurers, Medicaid and Medicare.
All the Staff at Crossroads is very professional, respectful and compassionate to everyone, all the time. There should be more places like the Crossroads facility on Church Street. I believe more people would stay clean if more facilities were more like it, and more staff were as wonderful as they are at Crossroads.

I normally go to Duke Hospital in Durham due to my complicated health issues. Last Friday, I had no choice but to go to Alamance Regional Hospital by ambulance because I was in such bad condition. Upon arriving in the Emergency Room, I was triaged quickly and seen by Dr. Evan Bradler. He listened to my complaint and went to work. I required a CT scan and blood work. He returned to the room and said I had Pancreatitis. It was a little hard to believe because I don't have about an inch of my Pancreas left from a surgery 5 years ago. Dr. Bradler was exactly right! The BEST emergency room DR. I've ever had! And I've seen plenty in my 73 years. I was admitted to the hospital and spent 3 days letting my pancreas cool down from the inflammation. I was treated by Dr. Natalie Alexander, the hospital staff Dr. I didn't need a specialist! She WAS one! Her knowledge was incredible! What care! My Nurses, Susana and Zolia, Marco (NA), Amber (NA) were the best I've had anywhere! They CARE and are well trained. I have to mention Dr. Xilin NIU, what a smile! The cafe is know for it's excellent food and staff. The Lady that sanitized my room daily was efficient and so friendly! So, to sum it up my pancreas was taken care of and I was able to come home yesterday and am doing GREAT! I am so impressed with every aspect of Cone Alamance Regional Hospital and had to write this review. Thanks to CHARH for taking care of me and being so nice to my wife!

This place really helped me get on my feet. And believed in me, when nobody else did the only issue I have is the hoops. You have to jump through just to get two take homes then, after you get the weekend, take homes. It takes forever to get any more even when your passing your drug screens not only that now, big lack of communication.I almost got my take homes taken from me twice all because they didn't look on my chart to see that the doctor was prescribing vyvanse a medication that was causing me to test positive for amphetamines once they got that figured out it was alright But it was just time for me to move on. I went to brightview, and now I got a week's worth of take home a lot more freedom to do things I wanna do not being tied down to going there every day. I will still continue to go there for my mental health. Medications, because genuinely these people are amazing thank you so much, everybody at greensboro ADS love y'all so much, just because I'm not going there. Every day, well I mean doesn't mean I won't be there. Every month and from my counseling sessions

update! STILL clean!!! still love metro-and completely credit them for my sobriety… reading these words i wrote years ago brought genuine tears to my eyes. they saved me This place has saved my life. When I arrived I had nothing and no one. I was doing over a gram of heroin a day, I was homeless. I had done some things and had things done to me that I think back on now and can’t believe I survived it. But metro and my counselors helped me become myself again. I had forgotten how funny I was and how much I loved to read and draw. I forgot how much I loved to travel and eat!! I forgot who I was and metro reminded me that I was a real person who deserved a good life. I d had two counselors both have played such a huge roll in my life. Preston has been at metro for years first as a wonderful security guard (who saved me once when I passed out when pregnant due to dehydration) and to this day we talk nearly every day now that he’s my counselor!! Sometimes we talk about life always about sobriety but also the happiness of how far I’ve come. All the things I didn’t think I deserved, metro helped me erase that thinking and then helped me push for everything I’ve always wanted. I want to say I haven’t touched heroin in over 5 years thanks to the help of metro and my counselors. They encouraged me to get clean and get a job that I’ve now finished school for and have now become a certified eye technician studying to become a COA. I’ve been able to take my daughter on vacations and keep a beautiful roof over our heads. Metro even helped repair my relationship with my family... with my permission even brought my mother in so we could all talk privately and give my mother more understanding of a world she knew nothing about other than drugs taking her daughter away. Metro is my safe place. I’ve shed tears, laughter, sadness and happiness under that roof. I got better in that building and it will always have such a special place in my heart. Thank you metro for teaching me that I deserve to have a happy sober life.

Since my son receives therapy and medication management here, I’m here on a weekly basis. The main entrance is on the right side of the buildings. When you walk in, there is the main waiting room with the receptionist area to check in. There are a few books and magazines to dad while waiting. Children’s artwork decorate the walls in addition to the required documents that need to be posted. There is an additional waiting room in another straight to the back when you walk in. That is the best waiting room if you’re there for medication management, which is virtual. The receptionist, Jill, is super friendly! Wait times for scheduled appointments can vary. Overall, not bad.

I am a 2018 graduate, on May 18th I will be 2 years sober after being in addiction for 11 years. Before coming to Freedom House my children told my mom that they didn’t want to live with me anymore and so my mom took them firom me (Thank God!!). My life was useless and I was on a quick one way street to death!! My heart was soo heavy and I literally had no hope left - I felt so worthless and carried so much shame!! It makes me cry thinking about it - But Praise GOD!!! I have been redeemed and my life has been completely transformed in a way I cannot describe — Not only is the chain of addiction broken but the chains of shame and worthlessness are gone as well!!! I now have strong, growing relationship with my children and a job that allows me to take care of my kids independently! I can’t fully describe the amount of freedom I have received from Christ through Freedom House!! They were my only hope and boy did they come through!!! <3

She has always been very determined to help when I and others come into the office. Thank you so much Miss Pearce for always being so patient with the intake process with the clients of this facility. God bless you .

I am rating this place based on donating items. The staff was very grateful and helpful. There were men that were staying there that came out and helped to unload items from my truck. I have been to a few places similar, and felt a good spirit around this place. The items had great value to us, and I felt I had found the place that they belonged to do the most good.

This place is so amazing they help so many people with food jobs and shelter. On Christmas they also have a dinner for your family and a raffle for a bike. So kids can have a chance to have a bike for Christmas under the tree. I don't know of anywhere else that does this for the kids in our community so we appreciate it so much.
