I went there not knowing what to expect. I got an assessment from Brandy and she was very easy to talk to and helped me understand the process and calm my nerves. The sessions that Brandy held were informative and actually helpful. Being a long time addict, I didn't think I had anything left to learn. The group setting was great for conversation and learning what I didn't know I didn't know. Brandy is an amazing counselor with a giant heart, You will be well taken care of if you go see her.

Carrboro, NC | UNC Horizons in Carrboro, North Carolina, provides mental health and addiction treatment services to women, including pregnant individuals, and those with young children. Medicaid is accepted, while assistance is available to uninsured and underinsured individuals to help them access enrollment and coverage. Drug Rehab for Pregnant & Postpartum | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I graduated this program in 2016. I had my daughter while I was there. I wasnt the easiest client to deal with. I gave them hell. Had a horrible attitude. Was so ungrateful. Looking back im so grateful for this program. They took me in with just the clothes on my back, got me hooked up with medicaid and foodstamps as well as a strong support system within the program. They offer parenting classes, therapy, child therapy, case workers, they house you while you are there and make sure you have somewhere safe to stay when you leave. I was allowed an extension by 2 months just to make sure I had somewhere to go since I was homeless when I came in. The staff are stern in policy but they truly care! They wouldn't be in this if they didnt! That's for sure! My daughter will be 10 in a couple months and I catch myself using the things I learned in parenting classes I took here before she was even born! I stop by there from time to time hoping to see some of the workers that were there when I was, and there are still several there!. Im forever grateful for unc horizons and I would highly suggest this place to any mother who is truly ready to get their life back!

God bless Sherry Rider, the goat 🐐
She has been an absolute savior in my life in terms of helping me regain my psychological, emotional, and mental health, and restoring my sense of identity and normalcy.
I truly appreciate her transparency, authenticity, and genuine compassion and support for her group members, all grounded in mutual respect from both sides.
What stood out most for me is how easy it was to connect with Sherry. She has a real ability to resonate with many walks of life, which is extremely important when it comes to understanding people’s needs in therapy.
She’s one of those rare professionals who can bring both real insight and real humanity into the room at the same time. Honestly, I’m grateful for the impact she’s had on my journey.

Greensboro, NC | Cone Health Behavioral Health Center is a rehab center in Greensboro, North Carolina. It’s more than a rehab for addiction recovery. It’s a behavioral health program too so it’s especially helpful for people who have addiction along with other mental health and behavioral health challenges. It’s also inpatient so you get an intensive level | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I have seen so many negative reviews about this place. However, my experience during my son Yahki admission was truly a blessing and excellent. I have to say some of the customer service reps can be insensitive 😑 which is the first form of contract to get through to the nurses, Provider, or your love ones Care-Team. It first, there insensitiveness was annoying to me, but then, I began to look at things differently.
There lack of insensitivity, give me a determination to show them how much I care about my son and his Mental health. And if this meant calling a 100 times until I got through to speak to his nurse or his provider, then I qould. Although, I did not call a hundred time, but I did called and show up at Cone Health Behavioral Hospital until I was able to speak to several nurses, staffs, a Doctor, (Provider), and the Manager who were more then caring and help during his time at the hospital.
Thanks you all so very Much. May God continue to blessed your entire team for what you all do daily for our love ones.
Special thanks to Agee, Tina, Elizabeth, Dr.P, Laura, Mike who goes by the name ( slick ), Ayesha, and several others that I have forgotten your names. Thanks so much for your prayers and for taking care of my Yahki.
I appreciate all that your you all do. Thanks also to the customer service reps for teaching me that persistence and determination brings about positive results if I / we truly looking to seek a positive outcome in life.

I’m seeing a lot of bad reviews about this facility, but i wanted to share my experience; and maybe bring some things to light for people who are thinking about seeking help for their children here.
I was admitted in the adolescent unit in march of 2024. I have severe anxiety, so i was terrified of being away from home and staying somewhere else. Little did i know i had absolutely nothing to be worried about.
I got treated with a lot of respect here. The food was wonderful, the place was kept very clean, and everyone was very kind to me. The group felt very supportive of one another, and it was a great environment. The nurses were some of my favorite people, especially nurse sheila. She was very supportive of my personal situation at the time, she always made a point to ask me how i was doing and take a second to focus on me. Even during medicine, which is sort of fast paced for the nurses.
There were some annoying parts at some points obviously, a certain nurse kept leaving our doors open all night for checks, and the light was bright in the hallway. that’s the worst thing i experienced here. It was really good for someone like me.
Again, this is my personal experience in march of 2024. I don’t know how it has changed since, but this place and the people really left a mark on me. it was a great experience overall.

First I want to say I went up there of my own free will, I had no court dates no probation nothing, and honestly if it wasn’t for my counselor Christine I would not have given this review!! She was the only in there that was actually understanding and would do anything to help you stay clean!! The director Les only cared about the rules no matter how out dated or ridiculous they were!! If it wasn’t for Christine helping me out and changing her schedule those rules would’ve cost me my job which Les seemed to not care about!! The other staff was very nice but you could tell they were tired of those out dated rules as well!!

I am a 2018 graduate, on May 18th I will be 2 years sober after being in addiction for 11 years. Before coming to Freedom House my children told my mom that they didn’t want to live with me anymore and so my mom took them firom me (Thank God!!). I have never had any problems scheduling appointments with Rebecca, and regular med checks with Brittany.
I get a text and email from the office a week in advance of each appointment; I can confirm my appointment or reschedule it via the text or email
link. It’s easy, reliable, and efficient. I schedule my next appointment the same day I see my therapist, and put it on my calendar, so I don’t schedule anything else that day and time.
I find their check in process to be easy, predictable, and friendly. The people in the front
office understand why we are there; they see a lot; they hear a lot; every day can be challenging for each of us.
They saved my life, and I appreciate everyone at Triad.

I was nervous having read the reviews after scheduling my appointment. Either they have made significant improvements or people are just way too harsh/picky? The staff and Drs have been great so far. No complaints, has been a great experience so far.

I have been seeing Dr. Lisa P. for almost 12 years now and even though I’ve moved away, I still travel just to go to my appointments because good Doctors are hard to come by these days! She has always been kind, honest and upfront with me and has helped me in ways I couldn’t even begin to thank her for! I highly recommend this practice…
