Crossroads of weaverville saved my wife Tracy and myself!! We both have great counselors!! Natile& Emily Hanna has made great improvements to the clinic it has a very great atmosphere. Be aware there are a lot of rules and you are punished if you break the rules. With that being said it’s a structured environment that does provide good therapy. There can be some toxicity amongst other patients so it’s best to not let that get to you and your recovery. I had a necklace that I left there for over a year that was for my great grandfather who fought in World war 2. Somehow someway I called them on a whim and they had the necklace and they sent it to me!! This was such a big deal to me and they took such care and making sure they didn’t lose the item. Of course if it was a two toothpaste it would’ve been gone. Now I’m in college and I’m two weeks away from my first study abroad trip to Argentina to study Spanish in my life makes sense. Thank you to all the therapists who helped me there and thank you to the team members who help deliver me my antique necklace.

This is an awesome place. I have the best caseworker anyone could have. She is always there for me and keeps me grounded. She helps me keep my goals on track. Like trying to quit smoking, setting boundaries to help me and others around me. She makes sure I'm doing okay. If I have to reschedule an appointment she works a time that is good for me. She makes sure I know of any programs that could help me with my goals. I couldn't ask for a better person to be behind me and root for me.

I started going to this facility and the staff was veery welcoming. It was crowded but waited a little longer, no biggie though. Chance (at the admission window), Lei (np), and Vickie was so kind and helpful. Also, the pharmacy girls. My only complaint would be the rainstorm machine that gave me more anxiety. But love the professionalism.

I don't like how you have to talk to a call center now on the med line. I've called many times to get my meds filled but the people at the call center can't give me an answer of when it will be filled. I'm gonna have a panic attack just by calling frontier health waiting for them to fill my meds.

My stay here helped save my life! While the program is rigorous and rules are strict - if you throw yourself fully into the process, you will see results. Staff is warm and caring and are always trying to meet clients where they’re at. Hopefully I never need to, but I would return here for treatment if I had to.

My employment specialist has always been transparent and great at communicating with me. She has been understanding and supportive of my journey in the program! Truly a great program that eagerly want it! At the beginning I didn’t want to hold my head up. Slept through class & meetings. I just wanted it to rush through so I could hurry get out and very close minded! The end results I ended up self loving myself and very eager to become of more knowledge. I’m grateful for CCS and it’s councilors. If u pay attention and want the knowledge you will have growth and prosper in it. I even ran the AA meetings and a few NA. I went from a total zombie stage to I want more for myself and my family. Wayne also helped me get in a half way house. The staff was amazing. The food was straight up delish. I am very grateful God lead me to CCS . It was a great learning and growth experience. It’s how bad you want it if you prosper in addiction and recovery.

As a child I was placed here and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. These people are saving children's lives and saved mine as well. I staid for sometime in the 90's and now I am a productive part of society, with 4 children, a degree, worked for a major sport, and am a 2 time war veteran. This place is pretty special. They spread good throughout an under-served segment of our community by providing a safe place for neighbors recovering and healing, who might not have the means to stay in a rehab facility. People who have bills to pay, family to care for, and work to do (or find) and still deal with their personal demons have solace here. Tools are provided for work training, personal empowerment, healing through creativity, and many more classes and offerings (both in person/virtual), as well as personal mental health therapy sessions. This group perfectly exemplifies our mountain culture of hospitality and endurance while occupying a historic craftsman style home near downtown Waynesville. I really cannot give enough words of praise for this down-to-earth home-grown practice of truly caring professionals.

There are good people here and I have found them. Most of the classes they offer give you wonderful suggestions to learn to set boundaries and manage Anxiety while the one on one actually helps a lot if you get the right person. I feel it has benefited me with suggestions and strategies that you can apply to every day life. As someone said on here you have to do the work yourself. Didn't take you a day to get here so give it a few weeks and if you don't have the right class or person ask for someone else or go to a different class.

This place helped me out a lot. I struggle from type 2 bipolar disorder and they really sat down and try to understand what I was going through. I also have a lot of trauma and they sat down with me and try to help me deal with it. The doctor is really nice. Same with my nurses. My wife has Alzheimer's/FTD/PPA and was moved here from her memory care facility to get a medication adjustment and re-placement into another facility. Did some work there is an outside vendor. It’s a rehabilitation facility for men recovering from various forms of addiction. They learn how to live off the land and run a farm, everybody I saw there had a smile and a positive attitude, they invited me to eat with the patients and staff, the food was great. I guess if I had that problem that’s a place I want to spend time to get over it.

I was there only for a temporary home placement. And that was 5 years ago. April of 2019,and they force you to go along with the program even if your only there temporarily, you have to tattletale on everyone and for the stupidest reasons like not tying your shoes not combing you hair saying a curse word. And have you stand on some line on the floor and humiliate you by pointing out your flaws. Then at the end of the day they make you sit at a table and endlessly write i will not curse like 10 times for each mark up. They have you sign up for foodstamps and insurance and use those foodstamps to purchase food and then they don't give you adequate portions. They won't let you keep your phone when that's the only way to seek housing. They don't offer any resources to help you find housing. I wasn't an addict or alcoholic when I went there but it definitely made me think about becoming one just to find an escape from that madness. Just another type of prison, with slightly better food and smoking.

It was amazing. I just want to say any one just getting out of a life you wouldn't wish for your kids or any other human. I definitely recommend starting at journey pure. They are very laid back. You are allowed to smoke and they keep a close eye on you while your going threw detox. They definitely make you as comfortable as possible. And most of all it's fun learning how to be as normal as you can. Thanks ladies and gent. I love them very much. And they also practice what the preach in other words they've lived it also. And made it threw an will help you make it threw to. They did me.

The counselors here not only listen but help you more than I have had the experience in the past. Granted, I've only been to one other but this place has opened not only my eyes but all the doors for me. They made sure I was set and comfortable in my next rehab plus took the time out to make sure I'm ready to leave and go on to the next stage. Freedom was a great choice for my detox. The staff are all very kind, caring, helpful. The nurses are great as well! Food is good! Large portions! Gained 6lbs! AAmeetings every evening from visiting AA members. Two other groups a day run by staff. Crafts, games and books are available. Rooms are clean. Only negative comment I can make is that showers could be cleaner. Bring flip flops. I stayed for 7 days. Had a great group of other alcoholics/addicts. I highly recommend Freedom Recovery.
