I’m an infrequent user of this CBOC but my experience is much more positive than what some have written. From the moment Dr. Thomas arrived she has handled my issues expeditiously and correctly the first time. Her nurse returns calls the same day and is results oriented. I was here before CBOC came to town. Trust me, don’t knock a local VA facility that so many dedicated officials worked so hard to bring to us for our benefit. No, like the military, they’re not perfect but from my perspective they are dedicated professionals grinding through each and every day in the most bureaucratic agency of the US government. On June 16, I had a procedure at UNC Health. From the time I checked in I knew I was going to be in good hands. The admitting staff, nurses and doctors were very helpful and encouraging. You can get a little anxious when you are having a procedure done, but my mind was put at ease when each individual took time to explain my procedure and what was going to be done. I visited the ER on 5-23-25 reluctantly but in dire need .I was very pleased with the services received except from an experience I had in Radiology. I communicated my concerns to the tech immediately due to the facial expressions aand other obvious signs of frustration she displayed. After I made her aware of my feelings , we talked openly and she appeared to have been surprised. Prior to my exit I felt we both understood each other's position. We both listened to each other which was extremely. important. The situation was settled with our conversation. I visited the ER again on 5-30 25 for the same situation. My overall experience was a 10/10. Staff were friendly, supportive and very easy to relate to. Actually even being in lots of pain , my experience was EXCELLENT! All of the staff were great. I especially enjoyed being treated by Glenda'. She does her job and keeps you engaged and laughing at the same time. I have no complaints. Was waited on and registered quickly. I was pleased with the amount of time I spent there additionally. Staff appeared very knowledgeable.

Dr. Goli and the ER staff were professional and courteous. My husband's pacemaker was diagnosed as malfunctioning, and they assisted us in transferring to the CICU in Greenville. The eleven hour wait for transfer by ambulance, with appropriate resources to treat my husband'scondition, was not pleasant and provoked needless anxiety. This issue needs to be addressed by ECU medical transport services. Thanks again for the care and concern exhibited by the ER staff in Kenansville.

My mother was a patient here about a little under a week ago, when I went to visit , I was greeted by two lovely CNAs named Sara and Hannah. They both did a wonderful job taking care of my mother during her time of illness. They checked on her constantly and answered questions throughly and to the best of their ability. They also treated her as though she were their own family! Wonderful hospitality from all the staff I encountered and from her team of nurses. The doctor was absolutely wonderful as well. I appreciate everything this hospital has done for my mother!

Did the 90 days in fall of 2019. The program basically focuses on Addictive and criminal thinking patterns and the ones who give it a chance will get something out of it. Mr. Ray was my counselor and from day one was fair to all and a good , down to earth counselor. The concerns process was a blast and I can talk all day here but words can't explain the experience you just have to go if given a chance. It's not suppose to be fun ( which it isnt) but given the chance it can have a positive effect. PULL UP!!!

The Raleigh VA Clinic has exceeded my expectations with every appointment. The receptionist greets you with a smile, which I know is easy only sometimes when interacting with the public.
Dr. Sheryl Joyner is the epitome of professionalism, wisdom, and warmth. Equally, those who work with Dr. Joyner are a joy! Usually, I have "white coat" syndrome when I visit the doctor, and the anxiety elevates my blood pressure. However, nurses like Rashida King had me laughing and at ease in the short walk from the reception area to the doctor's office--no high blood pressure!
Furthermore, Dr. Joyner and Nurse King were informative, relatable, and authentically caring. Going to the doctor is not at the top of anyone's list of things to do, but the staff at the Raleigh VA clinic are good medicine!

I go here for drug court and the support from the drs, social workers, & pharmacy has been shocking in the best way. The dr I see for mental health really listens & prescribes medication so far that’s really helping me & some there social worker counselors are wonderful, especially Justin he’s an exceptional example of what you would want someone with his job to be. He really cares. Sometimes the staff upfront can come across rude but I think they just get frustrated there is a lot of craziness going on outside the building & I can only imagine how hard they must work daily.

Courtney (works somewhere in the building) is extremely kind. Laura Taylor and Christine Hoener absolutely saved my life. They are the best care team in my life. They are both genuinely concerned about me. They treat me like a human and I’m actually heard by them. If Christine ever leaves, I don’t know what I would do. When I first met her she saw I was in crisis without me opening my mouth. It was the first time I felt like someone believed me. She listened to me and gave me the correct diagnosis!
Laura Taylor is kind and caring. I can’t say enough good things about her. I am so fortunate to have Laura as my therapist. I see many have horrible experiences at mental health.
My only bad experience is with a lot of those front desk staff on the 4th floor. I even had to swallow air real hard not to lose my composure. I often wonder why do they bother working at a place while adding to people’s traumas. A lot of them behind that window have absolutely no compassion. The 3rd floor staff have been very kind.

Came here to pick up some emergency medicine that I needed. Ended up with the medicine, after I had a EKG check done, chest x-rays, blood work, a bag of IV fluids injected into me, etc, etc.
My heart rate was up a lot, blood pressure was so so but 3 hours later,
I left with what I Originally came for along with a check up that Apparently was needed.
The staff here was Quick, On Point with me, Concerned for my well being & handled things properly & professionally.
