It was an amazing experience. It saved my life. The therapists are amazing. The people in the groups really helped. You learn a lot of coping skills. You make connections. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to go to this program. I would definitely recommend it.

After life-long challenges with depression, I thought I had experienced or tried everything that therapy and psychiatry could provide. My experience at Pasadena Villa Outpatient in Raleigh in their partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs has showed that there are ways to receive evidence-based therapy, such as CBT and DBT, in a way that was more effective than I could have imagined. Every therapist and psychiatrist I spoke with during my time there was pleasant and it was more than clear that all they wanted to do was help me with my mental health challenges. I would recommend this place to anyone struggling with mental health challenges that wishes for something more involved than regular therapy: you will feel better for it.

I've seen some negative reviews about Maxine, although I've had the opposite experience. Maxine does have a strong personality, however, she has been extremely professional, helpful and loving over the past two years while working with me and my children. Their behaviors have shifted for the better since Maxine has come into our lives and I am so grateful for her and the services she provides.

My name is Charles P. and I was released from H. Hill Hospital yesterday on 5/14/25. I feel that it was a very good experience. I accomplished my treatment goals and medication management. I also gained about 5 pounds that wish I could have left there. The staff treated me with respect and dignity. One staff member that really stands out to me is Paige, my Therapist. She went above and beyond helping me with my treatment and discharge planning. I would definite recommend Holly Hill to anyone needing help with addiction or mental issues.

I started going to BAART 5-6 years ago after struggling with opioid addiction for years and I personally feel as if it saved my life. . . But I wanted it to. There are some amazing people who work there and who truly care about the patients recovery and bettering their lives. There are the people who work the program to really get themselves better and then there's the ones who just use the methadone to "not be sick" or in withdrawl but still use/get high. I have recommended BAART to multiple people and have also helped a few people with starting g treatment here.

The VA in Sanford is legit. Recently retired (20 years ABN Infantry 🤘 out of Fort Bragg, best job I ever had, #111 jumps into 4 continents) I had my very first visit and the staff was incredibly helpful and answered all of my questions. They fixed my hearing aids on the spot and ordered me spare parts, immediately gave me needed immunizations, coordinated meds be delivered to my home, got me in touch with dental, I met my new PCM he's super professional and it's awesome how I can talk freely in laymans terms and the PCM understands my symptoms without using medical lingo, and much more in a matter of a couple hours. I had nice conversations with the vets in the waiting room. I highly recommend this VA and give it a strong 5 star rating.

I am forever grateful for my amazing therapist, Marisa, and dietician, Sarah, who worked extremely hard to help me reach my goals. CH was flexible with my needs and made me feel safe and comfortable. With any treatment center, there were flaws. You have to be motivated and willing to do the work independently as at times the supervision is limited. I was exposed to many new foods that I previously would have never tried! Shout out to Kenly for all the variety. 1:1 Exposures, restaurant outings, and weekend outings made you feel more “normal” in a stressful situation. The BHA’s were always there when needed, even in the middle of the night. Nursing never made me feel like a burden or uncomfortable when talking about health concerns. The homelike setting made it easier to carry over skills when I was discharged. Be brave and do the next right thing.

This facility saved my life. I don't have enough good words to say about Carolina House. Staff were so great. I had a wonderful therapist (Anna) and a great dietitian (Emma). I was challenged in ways I didn't realized I need to be challenged in. I left in such a good place in my recovery thanks to Carolina House. There are definitely problems with the facility but there is no perfect facility. There might be some problems but the good outweighs the bad. You do need to be in a place where you want recovery as this program is meant for those with self-accountability.
