They have a lot of hoops to jump through to be compliant with the state of Oklahoma. I feel like they do the best they can with what they have to work with. Joanie (the receptionist) is awesome!!!!

I'm so thankful for all the staff that helped my son so very much. And the family therapy helped us as a family to learn better coping skills that have made such a more peaceful home life. Now he is able to communicate his needs clearer. He has Level 1 autism with extreme demand avoidance and he would have severe meltdowns that lasted hours multiple times per day. They included self harm like headbanging and punching himself in the head and scratching his face. Now when he is anxious and struggling he can usually bring himself out of meltdown. We are beyond blessed to have had such a great experience, as we lived 3 hours from Hays. Definitely worth the drive! And a special shout out to Grace, she is wonderful and helped ease the frustration of getting him the proper help when he returned home! I will always recommend them for anyone needing this type of specialized services!

I have been at the camber in hays multiple times and I can honestly say that the best SSR or BHT is Kennedy! Kennedy always would rather talking to me about what’s deregulated me then throw me in the safe room. I always knew my problems would never be my own there because Kennedy’s helped shoulder the weight of them. The food was 2.5 out of 3 stars but what can you expect from a mental hospital.

Amarillo has a very large need for help for the recovering alcoholic/addict. ARC has been around forever and they have a lot of experience dealing with this population. If you or a family member needs this kind of help give them a call.

I know Amarillo Recovery Center is a supportive place for men who want to remain sober and be with others who have gone through the same challenges in life.

The atmosphere is calm, and the waitress is not as exasperating as others. The person is very attentive and loving.

At the other place they were doing nothing when we switched her everything was like night and day. With the adjustment of her medication and the great staff and care they took. Thank you.

Freedom Behavioral Health took good care of our family member during March 2021 and got his dementia medication adjusted so that he now has much better quality to his life. Yes, it was difficult to not visit him during the 2 weeks he was there, but we were able to talk to the staff on a daily basis and received very detailed updates from them. The nurses were very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate, and Dr. Ryder was very effective in evaluating our family member's dementia and treating it successfully. Our family member has been successfully living in a memory care home for the past 2 months, and we all feel like we owe a big "Thank You" to Freedom Behavioral Health for helping him get to this point.
