This is a very old facility, in fact the oldest mental health facility in the state. If you’re struggling, but afraid to take that first step to help yourself, you’ve nothing to fear here. Yes, it is restrictive. No phones and no smoking, etc. However, those are measures that actually help you to cope with your mind and body, maybe for the first time in a long time. The staff of nurses, therapists, doctors and techs are the most loving people I’ve ever met. They saved my life. I had not eaten or slept for months, struggling to cope with a physical illness that is killing me, and a mind fracturing under the pressure of it all. I leaned into it all, and let them save me. And they did. Food I could tolerate, fresh and plentiful was served to me by kitchen staff that care and nurture, without judgment. I was given medication that helped me to finally sleep, really rest. I was given every opportunity to share and find comfort in my pain, both with the staff and with the other clients there, themselves as scared as I was. Today I am home and so grateful for my life and the VERY last line of people willing to stand up for and with me, and advocate for my physical and emotional worth. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are forever kept safely in it. Clint, Tyra, Moriam, Stephanie, Linda, Logan, Abby, Emily, Megan, Dr. Reeder and Dr. Cunningham, the intake and kitchen staff, and finally to Troy. I can't express enough how AMAZING this hospital is. From Chelsea at er registration, to the sweet nurses in the er. Dr Jefferson. The nursing staff in the admission rooms upstairs. My husband got very lucky. Had blood clots in his legs and lungs and they immediately caught it. Got him tests, scans, IVs, pic lines, ultra sounds within MINUTES and we walked in through the ER doors. No waiting. No going without updates. I am blown away at the kindness, urgency, RESPECT, (he is overweight and was very shy, they never ever made us feel bad or like a burden) intelligence of the entire staff, and over all experience here. They made sure we both ate. Were comfortable. We didn't need or want for anything our entire stay. I will never again go anywhere else in a crisis. Thank you so so so much elk City hospital. You saved my husband, gave me and our family peace of mind and so much love and support.

It was very difficult to walk through the doors to get the help I needed. At that time I was in denial that even had a problem. One of the best things that I did out of the gate was going around and meeting as many people as possible. I went to all the meetings that I could, and quickly learned of the disease that I was dealing with. I sat back and listened to everyone’s story and soon started to see why I was there. It took a couple of days for everything to sink in, and I started to digest all the information that I could. Every staff member was 100% behind me in the recovery process and offered all kinds of encouragement. I felt comfortable being there and was able to open up to staff and other addicts in recovery without being judged. I learned how to identify what triggers make me susceptible to my addiction. They provided me the tools necessary to fight off urges and remove myself from uncomfortable situations. I owe my life to Valley Hope in Moundridge. I was on the verge of losing everything and had no idea. My time there has made me a better husband, father, son, sibling and friend. I definitely look at people in a different view and do not judge as I have no idea what life they have been dealt with. I came away with a new mindset on life and met a lot of great people. From the staff and patients, I am now living a great sober life. Anyone that is struggling or know of someone struggling, VH Moundridge is the place to be. I went in broken, and came out with the chance of a better life and a newfound family. This family is always willing to take a phone call when in need. We all have to work together if we want a better life. Again, the staff is top notch, and all they want is for you to be successful. Don’t wait another day. This journey started off with a lot of unknowns, now it is my turn to hold myself accountable and live a sober life. There are many alumni functions to keep you in touch with the people that you have met, along with a sober environment. Seeing their progress keeps me determined that I can stay sober and maybe help someone else in need. I do love my new life and new way of living. I highly recommend taking this journey, it might just save your life like it did for me. Also want to mention that the food is really good!

In June of this year I had never been more broken and hopeless. I had no desire to live anymore. God gave me the power and willingness to give Valley Hope in Moundridge a chance. It was the greatest decision ive made. They were there for me and walked through all of my trauma with me. The staff was top notch. Through being there for me through my detox and then being there to walk me through my life they were my angels. The counseling is what really made my experience there unforgettable. Today I am sitting at 99 days sobriety and I wouldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for the help of VH and Ofcourse God. They showed me the love I had searched for all my life. I will forever be grateful to them.

They took great care of me for a hernia surgery. The nurses and doctors all were very personable and professional, and I and my family felt genuinely cared for. The VA has such a bad reputation that I was a little nervous but those fears, for this location at least, seem to be entirely unfounded.

I went to the clinic to get new hearing tests..I have had hearing aids for a long time..I have always had a problem with my hearing aids..This is the first time my hearing aids have been programmed correctly..The audiologist and especially the intern reprogrammed my existing hearing aids and set up an appointment to get new ones..The intern was the absolute best programmer and for the first time in over 25 years I can hear perfectly..

I’m sorry for bad experiences others have had. I can’t address that. All I can say is I have been overwhelmed with the warm reception I have received from the office in OKC and the clinic here in Stillwater. Very friendly, polite, and caring. I’ve never liked Dr.s and doctors offices. But these people are turning an old man around!

This place quite literally saved my life. When I first arrived, I couldn't get myself to leave my room for the first 2 days (because I was so sick) but the staff worked really hard on getting me regulated on meds. I finally came out of my room, made a group of friends that I'll hold close for the rest of my life, and THE STAFF.... some of the most amazing people I think I'll ever meet. I went from refusing to talk to anyone, to a social butterfly in 29 days. I hope they know the difference they made in my life. I am myself again and it's all because of them. I seriously love each and everyone of them.

Jen that works the front desk is so amazing and everything runs smooth when she is working. As of for my counselor Brian and the Nurses, Tess they are so amazing also. They all are a true definition of working as a team. I love them all.I was on the program in 2004 and worked it and came off. Then I came back in 2020 and they saved my life again. I'm on 29 MG and I'm working my program and I have been very successful. I have a full time job and part time, I have a new car and a new life with many blessings from God and the clinic. My life has changed so much with the work of myself and God working through me.i am very greatful for the person I am today. So please don't ever give up, keep pushing and you will be successful.

Love them . As long as you show them that you're willing to put forth the effort for you to be healthy they will put forth the effort to help you get there you can definitely tell that they care in the many many ways that they show recovery is possible it's up to you just to show how possible it is

Hello everyone I'm coming from Texas and the clinic I have been at since 2009 is the best it was the 3td one before I found them all the others were hateful staff treated us like we were criminals so I'm so afraid of what's going to happen when I get to Oklahoma City Oklahoma I need to move because Texas is getting to dangerous and to expensive I'm on a fixed income I looked up what states are the best for price and safety ur state is one of the top but finding a safe friendly clinic is very hard and all the reviews say this is an amazing place so I can't wait to meet the staff and doctor!! ❤️🙏👍😇🌹

I was there in there twice last year in June not because they didn't do a good job but because of my family issues but I was treated amazing and the er didn't pump my stomach while I was oding on 18 different medication and I was kicked out of the hospital and just stuck the red river and they put me in a wheelchair and brought me up food and took my vitals, and they were very kind and they even wheeled me outside for outside time , honestly I loved it so much it gave me a routine that very helped with my mental health I was in the mockingbird unit aka the kid unit

This facility was amazing to my son. He went in very bad shape and had to be in there for 41 days and I can say neither him or I had any bad experiences with not one of the staff and I called every other day atleast. I had never been through this type of experience and the front office staff was always very kind to me and helped me calm my fears. I would strongly recommend this facility for your family member.
