The ONLY thing I didn’t like was the 10 minute phone calls and that they would open our rooms up at night but other the that it was a good experience for me, and whoever says that their are bed bugs are lying because the rooms where cleans. I cannot get anybody to help me and I've been sober now for many years. I haven't drank in many many years and for almost 7 months my license has been suspended. After it was reinstated from 2012, I renewed it four times. This is the fifth time I went to renew it. Mind you, I live in New Jersey. This happened in Pennsylvania and they were saying that they don't have all my paperwork. My old lawyer wouldn't even help me out. They said they have more important things to do. I paid some other company 300 bucks. I've spent hours and hours and hours trying to get this resolved. Titling companies bucks county courthouse Doylestown courthouse Court of clerks I got nowhere absolutely nowhere except frustration and anger again. I was making sometimes three phone calls a day trying to get through to PennDOT and always getting a different answer. They wanted stuff from 2012. You don't even have to keep medical or tax records for that long so to speak. The one place over in Pennsylvania said I would have to go back and do IOP and they wanted a 5-month update on how I was doing. I've graduated IOP and I've been sober ever since Unfortunately, I did not find out about this place till about a month ago. Unfortunately I moved from Jersey to Michigan so it's been a little bit of a pain I was dealing with one of the other places regarding DUIs common law places in Pennsylvania that the court basically works with, but absolutely one of the worst experience in my life. But again it wasn't till almost the 7th month of dealing with this that I was told I could go and try to deal with another facility However, livinggren has been beyond helpful beyond sympathetic to my situation. They are absolutely trying to help me. HELEN and JAMIE, are absolutely amazing! Everyone that I've spoken to there has been absolutely amazing, but these two women in particular that have been trying to help me are just absolutely god sense. So I'm sure that everyone else at that facility is just absolutely amazing as well. I only wish I found this place when I needed help with my substance abuse but better late than never they say!! I have had some issues that have come up, but they usually get resolved. My only main gripe is with some of the other clients at the community living house fail to clean up after themselves, and some do not know self control. But, the staff here is very professional and easy to talk to. I find that the opportunities here for my recovery journey are pretty good, although I'd like access to more holistic therapy resources. I don’t know where I would be if not for them. First, their program is A1 in my book. I was so broken when I made that call. From the first call until I actually got to the treatment center was God send. They made me feel like a movie star. My therapist Mrs Karen Caston was absolutely the BEST!!! She knows her stuff, I was still in denial with some things that was pointed out to me. She cried with me and held my hand through the entire process I love her and so do all of her other clients. I was so scared. You’re greeted at the door, meet with nurses, introduced to staff then to your room. They take the time to understand your needs. I learned a lot about myself with the help of many staff members. The food was great, facility was clean. If I needed to talk someone was always there. Im not going to give you a play by play or some incredible testimony because my story is still going strong but I've come a very long way and I 💯 give my counselor, Susan, alot of credit for sticking by me even bk in the beginning when I would be nasty and childish towards her and ill never forget when she told me that she was just waiting for me to be ready. * full disclosure im a garbage head and at the time I needed rehab terribly. And she was so patient and calm n it drove me nuts. Until one day, I walked into her office and said im ready. And from that chair in her office I left for rehab right away thanks to a combined effort of the staff, Will a former employee but mainly through her approach over months. I've had several wonderful things happen since then but most importantly I finally won my 3 year battle with CPS and gained joint custody of my son back. Now, don't get it twisted, I am far from a shiney happy person now. I've got major struggles right now but ever since that day she can't get rid of me off her caseload. Mainly because secretly im her favorite.😄 but i won't let them switch me because Susan really does care about her clients and I am sure of it for many reasons. If Susan isn't you're counselor you're missing out. And because of her this center gets a 5 star 🌟 rating from me. Which, btw, NEVER happens. I am happy to add one more to it! Ownership is amazing, and every staff member gets to know every client on a personal level. The center itself is a wonderful property. My counselor Chris is extremely relatable, knowledgeable, and helpful. Bill makes groups fun and impactful. Angie and Pam bring years of inpatient experience to this outpatient experience. Pam’s art therapy breaks up the weeks with fun activities and Megan’s compassion and insight makes you feel comfortable about opening up. Probably my favorite group of the week is the last one on Fridays where Pastor Jay has everyone on the edge of their seat while roaring with laughter. All this creates an amazing community with the sober living being by far best experience in such I have ever had. PRC is an absolute 10/10! The chef made incredible food for every meal and stocked the fridge every day with fresh food that we could eat at anytime as well. They also kept the freezer stocked with ice cream and water ice. The facility is cozy and kept very clean. There is a smart tv in every room as well as in the lounge/common area which is set up like a living room. I found the groups helpful. There are 3 hour long groups you can attend but don’t have to and either an AA or NA speakers that comes every night for an hour long meeting. I liked that Sunrise is a smaller facility, having room for about 20 patients. This made it easier to open up and share. You are able to go outside for fresh air or to smoke anytime except during group time. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Sunrise Detox. Thank you to all the staff! You all are amazing!! Never been to detox before but the people who work there actually care about you and want you to get better. It only works if you are ready though. The food was amazing everyday, the counselors are there to help you, and the doctors/nurses want what’s best for you. I will 100% be going back there one day to speak to the patients to show them that recovery is possible. They also help you with finding resources after being discharged. I was recommended tk a doctor for the sublocade shot and had it done within two weeks of leaving sunrise. It’s a smaller operation but I found it to be better. It is a very peaceful setting they have wild geese goats bunnies and it helps so much, gives me a lot of peace and that makes the hard days still great. The womens house is up to 12 women which I love because I recieve more help one on one. The bond us clients and staff have is unforgettable. I will miss this place when my stay is over. The food is great for it being a rehab even the lunch staff are so pleasant and caring. Its only been 2 weeks and I love it here soo much. My counselor Kenneth (Ken) is the best counselor I ever had, no joke! He has worked with me more than any other counselor. He also has daily groups that I miss on the weekends and its a high in my day, so is the H&I Meetings. We do alot of activities & crafts, I didnt even know I enjoy. I am learning so much here. It is worth it and if you want to AFA/AMA there is plenty of support so you don't. If you want to receive help whether your in active addiction, coming from somewhere else or messed up like me after having clean time its helping get grounded again in my journey. Thank you so much to the staff, techs (especially Justice, Kaitlyn & Jess, the medical team, the director Mrs. KELLY. For some reason I just happened to be thinking about it, I am now 58 years old and live in Florida. I had a wonderful experience coming here after juvenile detention. I was Court committed and spent six months here. I had a great counselor, I met great friends and stay sober for many years after and it was a great beginning for me and foundation for life. I was a scared 16 year old with issues of abandonment and not knowing my real parents I'm getting mixed up with alcohol and some drugs. Even though it was a difficult time I was very fortunate to come here and got a lot of help and support and helped me through my teenage years. It was a beautiful property and we used to have a little back house that had a pool table and we had candlelight meetings and we used to cook and do all kinds of fun things, I actually had a really good time because I was an only child and my parents didn't pay a lot of attention to me so I never felt more connected.... I was also suffering from gait abnormality and balance and coordination issues so they transferred me to Wyndmoor Hills for Physical therapy and once I'm discharged well before I'm discharged, I'll pick a rehab facility for inpatient treatment.Wish me luck.
