I'm currently there for pain maintainence and to not take any more pills prescribed to me that screw up life alot more than methadone.. This place is an excellent facility..lil dated but the ppl and the mission there is to help! PERIOD. If u end up with a problem there it's bc your not taking yourself seriously as they are and that's a shame..the name PROGRESSIVE says it all..do what u need and work the program and progression is possible..I've had privileges for years with not one issue! Great place for treatment if u want to take it serious, bc they will..enough said

Power, saved my life. I recommend Power to everyone. I have a story to tell about how power saved my life, but there's not enough space here for me to tell my story. If I could tell you a short version there's still not enough space. So with that being said let Power in your life, and you'll see for yourself how powerful Power is.

The first time I went here I thought I hated it and it was horrible, then I went to southwood and was begging to go back here. I went to western psych inpatient 2 times as well as outpatient 2 times and I can say I had a very pleasant experience all 4 times. Every psych ward has its issues like how they lost my favorite hoodie, but In the end most of the staff genuinely cared. They took us to meetings, made sure we could call people as much as they were allowed, treated us like equals, and just wanted what was best for us. There was always a staff or 2 that no one liked bc they were miserable, like Miss Sarah which I don’t know if she still works there or not. Whenever the mean ones weren’t around though they let us have as much fun as possible without breaking the rules. The one night we were bored and wanted to play dodge ball, so the staff flipped the tables and made teams! Not everyone has a great experience and you should still listen to your kid if they are begging you to take them out but I personally grew a lot bc of this place.

There aren't many organizations that permit women to live with their children in their own apartments while participating in individual, group, and family therapy. There are three levels of care offered for women and children in need to regain lost independence in secure environments. I attended the Woman with children program at turning point in 2015, I have since been able to stay clean coming up on 6 years and have since had my child full time. This place changed my life for the better. They slowly integrated me back into the community, teaching me life skills and how to be a woman! The rules may be a little strict, but if you truly want to better yourself, these rules are in place for that. Behavior modification, learning how to cook and clean, and counseling for my addiction. I recently was at UPMC Mercy ER for a second opinion. I had been seen at 2 different ERs prior, and had gotten no answers whatsoever for what was ailing me. Dr. Bryce Bredell was patient, kind, empathetic, and understanding when I presented my complaints and concerns to him. He took the time to listen. He was finally able to give me an answer that 3 other doctors could not provide, and long sought after relief from my ailment. The visit was quick. The receptionist was also kind, caring, and attentive as well. Thank you so much UPMC Mercy. You are appreciated.
