Very impressed and surprised because there are some bad reviews when every team member I meet was extremely caring and understanding of everyone's personal situations. They really care about you getting better and will help give you the tools and motivation to get there. I started in the intensive outpatient program which was important to my recovery in that it gave me a regular schedule and it felt good to get in that rhythm and everyone I meet in that class was respectful to each other we learned and had a good time. I recently moved out onto the regular outpatient and continue to meet new people who all share the same difficulties in life and openly share their stories and perspectives to identify our triggers and in my case: bad life traps and bad coping styles that lead to my addiction. We also are taught how to avoid the pit falls of addiction the through healthy coping mechanisms. They also started a new incentive program that awards healthy recovery based activities. Because of this program and the programs they provided me with outside of Guardenzia I was able to change my mindset and come to a place where I can finally admit to myself of my past addiction and admit to myself I cannot ever drink again and I'm grateful to them for getting me to this place where I can finally accept that.

Amazing!!! Helpful and caring!!! There’s nothing bad here nothing!! I can’t tell you how wonderful it is and refreshing!!! I have been on methadone 4 years and had to relocate back to central Pa and when I made arrangements with my old clinic at ARS, they tried to literally kill me!!! When I moved my entire life and had it all switched so I thought until!!! I get there and then they say oh your insurance is for another county do until you switch it we cannot help you!!! And left me sitting in the room alone!! Just not even care or bothering with me!!! They make ppl want to relapse why bother when you don’t care this much but I rememenrr beinf told Mechanicsburg ctc does same day so w only 32 mins left I rushed over to here and the world of diff of care, wanting to help!!! Willing to work with you as anyone knows even if you have no insurance the state of pa will pay up to 90 days back bills so they got all my paperwork and my dosing
That day and let me dose and set me up!!! I cannot tell you how as I say defeated in the other clinic defeated crying hysterically I saw my entire sobriety flash and about to be gone before my eyes!! I went from homeless, destitute, a person no one saw as worthy to a career in retail management, built myself to a respectable person agian that also helps others in recovery with at least that first step and now use my career to help give a job to those otherowise others look over!!
So thank you sooooo much Mechanicsburg CTC because of you!!! You helped this one persons world stay so much brighter!!! Thank you!!! If you need help in anyway please do yourself the biggest favor and just start here!!!
Good luck!!!

The experience from Bold Steps vs the last place is night & day different.
Thank you Bold Steps for taking such good care of my husband and holding him accountable and teaching him new healthier habits!
Best of luck in finding a rehab that will aid you in your recovery. It will only work if you are serious about sobriety and learning new habits & ways to stay sober. I'm a retired 20 year Army veteran, there are many who can attest to my moral ethics, honesty and character, including numereous Generals active and retired and the current Secretary of Defense. Penn State Emergency room was outstanding, I did not have to wait. The several ER doctors that attended me kept me well informed and were professional, they were all excellent Doctors. I was informed they wanted to check me in as a patient to confirm if my issue was heart related or muscular and nerve. I was in agreement. I was an inpatient from 30 July until 1 August. On the floor the staff and doctors were professional and caring. The two Neurosurgeons I saw on my last day were excellent. They gave me a lot of info concerning my condition and a way forward to manage my pain or eliminate it. I highly reccomend a pay raise to keep those 2 excellent neurosurgeon doctors. I almost gave 5 stars. Now on toward what I did not like, they kept me woke throughout the night until morning taking blood and my blood pressure approximately every 3 to 4 hours. One night they took my blood pressure at 12 PM than the young man came into the room at 4 AM and hollered loudly to wake up! It's time to take your blood pressure! Keep in mind I was hooked to a heart monitor. The severe lack of sleep from them waking me every 3 to 4 hours, the medication, hospital enviroment and the pain from my issue kept my blood pressure very high, restful sleep is important to a lower blood pressure reading. Now at home my pressure is way below 130. The second issue is Dr.S who was the floor doctor informed me that he would put in writing that I was in pain and It could affect me not being able to work on some days but instead he wrote no restrictions,I believe he felt due to my job being a desk job it wasn't required, I complained so he changed it to I may need frequent breaks for 1 week due to pain. My supervisor had already approved me to work from home for a longer period because he knows I would not not lie about my pain and how the numerous medications would affect my alertness. I just wanted to see if Dr. S was a man of his word and if he sterotyped me. In addition some members of the staff including Dr.S was under the impression that I could not leave the hospital under my own free will. Federal and State law states no hospital can illegally forcibly hold any patient unless they are mentally incapicitated or physically unable to walk with some other exceptions that would not apply to me or most independent patients, a patient that want to leave immediately would receive an AMA discharge, even though I was discharged I stayed to get xrays done and planned to leave from there, the patient transport that took me to get my xrays told me that I could not leave from the radiology department even though I had my discharge papers and if I did security would forcibly take me down and bring me back. He claimed it happened numerous times in the past. He stated it was the hospital policy. He had refused to take me in a wheel chair but instead insisted on rolling me in a bed that was used many times without changing the sheets plus I was able to walk and prefered the wheel chair that was available. His comment gave me the impression I was being forcibly detained against my will as if I was a criminal. It was if I was not paying them for professional medical service. If there was an attempt to forcibly keep me by security especially with my muscular disc issue and pain than I would have levied criminal charges and sought out the best lawyers which I can afford for a major lawsuit against the hospital and I would have contacted the Senator and VA Affairs at the congressional level for mistreatment of a retired honorably served veteran. I almost gave 3 stars because of this but the ER doctors, most of the staff and the 2 Neurosurgeons were of excellent caliber. Holy Spirit need to retrain the staff on patient release in accordance with the law or change their policy before some of their staff have criminal charges levied against them and they receive a huge lawsuit.

well I am going to give it a five star because if it wasn't for the evergreen program itself I would have never made it in society. I spent the majority of my adult life in prison, I needed a program to help me learn how to life outside of the walls. This program did that for me. 99% of the staff were amazing. That 1% were power hungry. I did notice that over the yrs the comments left went from great to really bad. Maybe that is something that should be addressed. Please don't just blame it on the client who wrote the survey. Like really look into it... I love PA. C. I never had a therapist like Judy. I struggle with many things and making appts is not always easy bc of my memory issues . I was often dismissed and then left with not therapist or psychiatrist in the past. Which doesn’t make sense when your being seen for mental health ! I came here and will never leave Judy. Through all the hard times the staff and front desk are very easy to talk to and are great as well. I see Judy weekly she also does intensive treatment for dissociative disorders & ptsd too. If it wasn’t for her knowing me working with me I don’t know where I would be, possibly not here today. I strongly advise seeing a different person if your first time doesn’t work out, they do have amazing therapist you just need to give it time and explore your option when your their.
