They display a true genuine concern for those in their care. Communication is exceptional! However, the majority of my communications were with Megan, Emily and David. I must give them special recognition for my sincerest appreciation. Im not going to give you a play by play or some incredible testimony because my story is still going strong but I've come a very long way and I 💯 give my counselor, Susan, alot of credit for sticking by me even bk in the beginning when I would be nasty and childish towards her and ill never forget when she told me that she was just waiting for me to be ready. * full disclosure im a garbage head and at the time I needed rehab terribly. And she was so patient and calm n it drove me nuts. Until one day, I walked into her office and said im ready. And from that chair in her office I left for rehab right away thanks to a combined effort of the staff, Will a former employee but mainly through her approach over months. I've had several wonderful things happen since then but most importantly I finally won my 3 year battle with CPS and gained joint custody of my son back. Now, don't get it twisted, I am far from a shiney happy person now. I've got major struggles right now but ever since that day she can't get rid of me off her caseload. Mainly because secretly im her favorite.😄 but i won't let them switch me because Susan really does care about her clients and I am sure of it for many reasons. If Susan isn't you're counselor you're missing out. And because of her this center gets a 5 star 🌟 rating from me. Which, btw, NEVER happens. I am happy to add one more to it! Ownership is amazing, and every staff member gets to know every client on a personal level. The center itself is a wonderful property. My counselor Chris is extremely relatable, knowledgeable, and helpful. Bill makes groups fun and impactful. Angie and Pam bring years of inpatient experience to this outpatient experience. Pam’s art therapy breaks up the weeks with fun activities and Megan’s compassion and insight makes you feel comfortable about opening up. Probably my favorite group of the week is the last one on Fridays where Pastor Jay has everyone on the edge of their seat while roaring with laughter. All this creates an amazing community with the sober living being by far best experience in such I have ever had. PRC is an absolute 10/10! I wouldn’t have made it as far as I have without being there. I did the outpatient program but other patients here enjoyed the housing program. There are a range of therapists to choose from and they’re all great. There are different group therapies to sign up for if you’re interested like yoga, raki, etc. Don’t hesitate and sign up to change your life. All of the staff were so friendly and compassionate as well as my fellow clients and built an awesome rapport with many there. Facility was very sanitary, organized, and run efficiently. Food was phenomenal. Resources were plentiful. Any issues I had I could report to any staff member and it was resolved promptly. I wish I could have stayed for residential instead of just detox but couldn't for personal reasons. In the short 7 days I was there I was able to begin coming out of my shell and found what I felt to be something of a home and family in a way. Thank you to everyone there for the cascade of support and for guiding me to my next steps. Much love for this center of a community and a space of safety. I wish nothing but the best for everyone that was there with me and for me. I am praying for success and resilience in their continuing journey, clients and staff alike. The chef made incredible food for every meal and stocked the fridge every day with fresh food that we could eat at anytime as well. They also kept the freezer stocked with ice cream and water ice. The facility is cozy and kept very clean. There is a smart tv in every room as well as in the lounge/common area which is set up like a living room. I found the groups helpful. There are 3 hour long groups you can attend but don’t have to and either an AA or NA speakers that comes every night for an hour long meeting. I liked that Sunrise is a smaller facility, having room for about 20 patients. This made it easier to open up and share. You are able to go outside for fresh air or to smoke anytime except during group time. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Sunrise Detox. Thank you to all the staff! You all are amazing!! Megan McGovern 9 months ago I went to sunrise 6/7 for the first time ever and I don’t regret a single thing about. Never been to detox before but the people who work there actually care about you and want you to get better. It only works if you are ready though. The food was amazing everyday, the counselors are there to help you, and the doctors/nurses want what’s best for you. I will 100% be going back there one day to speak to the patients to show them that recovery is possible. They also help you with finding resources after being discharged. I was recommended tk a doctor for the sublocade shot and had it done within two weeks of leaving sunrise. It’s a smaller operation but I found it to be better. My therapist challenged me and I grew from it. The techs were hit and miss but anywhere I went I feel like its the same. When ppl care about their jobs and put their hearts in it, it really does make a difference in the lives of those struggling. I was also suffering from gait abnormality and balance and coordination issues so they transferred me to Wyndmoor Hills for Physical therapy and once I'm discharged well before I'm discharged, I'll pick a rehab facility for inpatient treatment.Wish me luck.
