I took my son there when he was about 17 or so (he's 23 yrs old now) and they changed his life! He has autism and bipolar manic disorder. He wasn't diagnosed correctly at McKenzie Medical and the Dr here got him on the correct medication. We no longer live in Tennessee but I hope they see this and know he's still doing great (except for the seizures) Thanks for helping my son when no one else had a clue!
I'd like to add that the medicaid in Tennessee is horrible! No dental or vision coverage??? What's up with that?? and finding a good Dr, especially a psychiatrist is a huge task. Glad to be back in Ohio where my son and I both are well taken care of physically and mentally. And we both have dental and vision coverage.

I've have had very positive experiences here. They assess and evaluate what your needs are. I've had phone appointments during COVID and video chats that went very well. On August 1, I visited the Baptist Memorial Hospital Carroll County Emergency Room after a motor-vehicle accident that resulted in a hard impact and a burn on my arm. I was taken into the ER less than three minutes after arriving. Within 45 minutes, the staff had completed an exceptionally thorough evaluation. Dr. Evans and the entire team worked together seamlessly—efficient, professional, and genuinely comforting and reassuring throughout the process. It was, without a doubt, the most positive hospital visit I’ve ever experienced.

I've had nothing but good experience with these people Andrew is amazing at listening and checking on you if he hasn't heard from you or if there's something going on he doesn't hesitate to let you know or check on you and just let you know that they're there for you. Carolyn is understanding but a bit stricter I believe she kind of can come off intimidating but she means well and she does care. And all the people at the front at the reception desk have always been so good working with me about getting appointments and those kind of things. I would say to the people that are giving bad reviews maybe you should give it another chance or maybe go somewhere else trying to find drugs because they're not going to give drugs that's not what they're for they're there to give you treatment and to help you and I'm not trying to offend anybody I'm just saying that this place is good for what it is and it has helped me and my son.

Very family oriented facility. These people saved my life like literally! From me almost dying on some meds prescribed by another facility to getting me back on the correct meds! Everyone here is friendly and very professional. They will go above and beyond to help with your independent needs and concerns. Heaven sent! They will help you as long as you're willing to help yourself. Mental health is not any different from any other medical condition. There are so many stigmas surrounding mental health. Some of the greatest people had or has some kinda mental health thing going on. Our minds our simply BEAUTIFUL! NEVER be ashamed to seek mental health help it will change your entire life! Sometimes, we need the right people in our corners to get our brain health back on track. And this what they did for me. I am very grateful for my entire treatment team! Thank y'all! My son came back to me like I remember him before drugs. His smile had returned and he was humble. Not only was he treated for his addiction but JACOA also treated his depression. I could stay home and do this online but because this place is as great as it is id rather drive 45 / 50 minutes too come here. The doctor is amazing, the staff is so nicely characterized. This would probably be my go to place any time I'm suicidal again. Its amazing. You see a doctor daily and the environment is amazing. You can watch tv,or play board games or cards all day. You can literally sit on a phone call with someone all day,as long as you want. You can be in your room too all you want and relax,sleep more of you want. Food is amazing,and they make sure you're full. I went when there wasn't alot of people so they were constantly giving us seconds. Staff is sweet and chill. You can color or draw all day if you want. Sadly the showers were like luke warm or cold. But you can shower any time and as many times as you like. It felt like home. You can even wear your own clothes there and make sure to bring an abundance of clothing to wear and be washed daily. You can see a psychiatrist and doctor and all daily and i felt like they really listened and cared how i felt and helped me pave a way to success. And if i needed a med to try out it was easy to get approved for,such as an inhaler for my asthma or something to help me sleep better. Just tell them and they will try it out for you that night or the next. They also have coffee,which may appeal to others but not me,i dislike coffee. You do have to be in your rooms by ten pm i believe,but you don't have to be asleep,just in your room.

I personally was admitted as a teen-ager here. I kept getting beaten up by the other residents and was eventually pulled out my parents, but in the 3 short months I was a resident here, this place completely changed my life for the better. Before I was getting into physical fights with my parents and verbal arguments every waking moment among other medical and behaviour related reasons. After 3 months, my relationship with my parents have never been stronger. Even today, despite myself still struggling with some of the things I was originally admitted for, I am still doing great. I still get in verbal arguments with my parents, but it has never once escalated to violence. Most days we are a strong, loving family. I am glad I was a resident here. Thank you McDowell and thank you to the therapist. I forget the exact name but it was Mrs Barbie or Barbora or Brittney or something with a B. Ya'll changed my life and I will always be forever thankful and in your debt.
