I came in to JACOA in May of 2023. I had been thru SOME SHIT. To say the least. And I needed some help and guidance on how not only to better myself, but HEAL myself.
And I tell you what. JACOA did that. Am I a completely healed human? Nope. Do I credit them for everything I've accomplished this far? Yes. Because THEY gave me the tools I needed. Every one of them. From the head honcho, down to the monitors every night taking us for chill breaks. I love them, to the core. Beth was an amazing counselor, and the rest of the counselors were awesome too. Kudos to a really great staff.
To elaborate? They taught me how to handle my anxiety and my stress. Without booze. Without weed. Just myself. Learning to live sober, was probably one of the best adventures I've lived so far. Because that, was wild. I read ten books in 28 days. I hadn't picked up a book since my mother died, nearly 9 years prior. And I was an avid reader.
I begged for the library keys, and eventually, I didn't have to beg. I was given them, because I proved I was responsible and could handle a door.
It takes one door at a time, sometimes.
And hey, the food wasn't too bad either!

JACOA was so amazing I went there twice!! I had been a chronic relapse for 20 years and the last treatment center I ever had Tn go to was JACOA!! That says a lot about who they are as a substance abuse program. The staff met me where I was in my journey with compassion and kindness ,because most of them had their own personal story of recovery. They got me! They really understood me!! They went above and beyond quarterbacking my care all the way to safe housing when I graduated the program. If you or a loved one are suffering with alcohol or substance abuse issues call JACOA! They will take care of you!
PS.They have Fish Fry Fridays!!

I’m so sorry I gave this place as high as a 1, but that’s the only thing I could do. I called to make an appointment with Health Quest. I specifically asked for an appointment with a Psychiatrist (MD). They said it would be no problem. I made the appointment. I again asked, before we hung up, now this is an appointment with a Psychiatrist? They said yes. When I arrived at my appointment they said I had an appointment with Lisa. I responded “I. Do. NOT.” Lisa’s credentials seem quite good, but she is not a Psychiatrist. I accused them of bait and switch. Baiting me with a Psychiatrist appointment only to lie and switch me to an appointment with a Psych Nurse. Totally unethical behavior!
One more thing, their office is heavily perfumed. My lungs cannot tolerate scented products. This office smelled worse than a crowed funeral on a hot summer day with no a/c. By the time I left the office I had no voice left and my breathing was labored.

I attended Mirror Lake during aug-sept of 24. The place was pretty awesome. The staff was amazing. I can truly say that I never had a single issue with a single staff member. While I was attending there was a change in leadership. Let me tell you, it was a great move. The (boss man) you know who you are.....was great. He was out and about amongst us clients. He wanted to know what could be done to make our stay better. If it was possible he made it happened. He never told a lie, or exaggerated the truth. He also never just told you what you wanted to hear, just to get you out of the way. He was straight forward. I respect that in leadership. Ok. Now that we have that covered. I must say that the only thing that I did dislike...was having to be locked out of the cabins all day. I understand that we are there for recovery. Unfortunately, everyone does not rehabilitate the same way. That is an issue that may need to be addressed. Other than that one issue, this place is definitely a spot to chose for your or you loved ones recovery. Before I go, I have to mention the art class. The best 2 days of the week. While this place is no cakewalk,it shouldn’t be. I completed and graduated an entire 6 month program in 2017. Now I am a junior at CTU and I graduate October of 2023 with my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. Without this place and the people there I would probably be dead or still shooting drugs. Now, I plan to work towards my Master’s then Doctoral degrees because I want to give back to the rehab community and help those who thought life was always gonna be screwed up. The Transformation Center quite literally saved my life. I could not have asked for better care during my time as a patient there. The staff and care team took very good care of me. I felt like my caregivers truly cared about my well-being and happiness. Over the months of programming there, I established some great relationships with the care team and other patients. They helped guide me from the most difficult and painful time of my life to the most happy and wonderful time of my life. I would not be here today if it had not been for the Transformation Center. I did treatment twice at semo. Once to get clean and once to prevent a relapse. My cooccuring councilor mr virgil and my facilitator saved my life. When leaving treatment my facilitator asked me to check out a specific type of meeting when leaving and the truly taught me how to fight within for my sobriety. Today i am 5 yrs 2 months and 19 days sober 🥰🥰 and i never went to another facility and no relapses! Hadnt they taken me serious during my cry before relapse and let me back in i wouldnt be here today! Semo saved my life!

I went here several years ago and this place changed my life and probably saved my life. Been clean ever since. I had to write a review after reading all the bad reviews. Which most I think are just people who didn't get their way, or people who don't like following rules. When I first went here, I was court ordered and didn't want to be there. But as soon as I arrived I felt a sense of peace, and I felt welcome. I learned a lot here, about myself, and learned how to deal with life on life's terms. The counselor I had years ago, Miss Brenda, is still there and she was amazing. And, the food there was amazing too! I was under weight when I got there, and gained almost 40 pounds in a month and a half!! Like any rehab facility, it's only going to work if you really want it to work. You have to be open to change, and let the people here teach you. There are rules, and the first 7 days is a blackout. So no phone calls for that first week. I ended up staying here for 6 weeks and I am forever grateful to Serenity. I hope I would never need their services again, but if I did, I would go back there in a heartbeat! And I would highly recommend Serenity to anyone who needs treatment. Remember, it works if you want it to. And if you are really ready to change your way of life. Go in with an open mind, and a willingness to change and learn. Like I said, I am FOREVER grateful to Serenity!!

Spero Health has been helping me out tremendously. The Doctor Warhaftig is an awesome doctor. The counselor Xtasy Grinn is super awesome as well. I love group therapy and getting to talk about my addiction and how far I've come. Don't get me wrong I still struggle. But I still have a long way to go. I've been going to spero health since the end of March and early April. And this now May. I'm happy that I've chose to do my recovery treatment plan with spero health I'd highly recommend them and wouldn't have it any other way.

I had a sleep study done by St. Francis (horrible) and was given SE phone number by mistake. 😮 Ironically, the nurse at Mercy gave me more help than St. Francis, by answering my questions.
Rec'd. treatment 2x in ER. Both times I was well taken care of. The doctors & staff, were great. Also, had two out-patient surgeries. It went well.
