Methadone maintanence saved my life! It was my 7th time going to a rehab facility. Soboxone never worked for me and I was terrified of the detox process. Methadone doesn't stop you from having withdrawal symptoms when you first start MAT. But it makes the transition so much easier and keeps you maintained it also controls the cravings. It's not a super fancy top notch place but it's a good program and Western KY Medical executes it well. They probably saved my life. Just be up front and honest about everything and let them make it work. It is the attitude of the staff and the level of comfort I feel when I go there that has made it so easy to continue going and stay on this path. In fact, I enjoy it so much that I continue to go weekly instead of going down to less appointments each month. I do wish they would stop holding you more than 72 hours on volunteering to go after i displayed aggressive behavior towards military police . I did not require medication . I had a single episode . It was way to much to be held at Cumberland Hall so long just to go through group sessions ., the structured day is a lot . Cafeteria was excellent ! Gym was nice too . Did not get involved with no other girls situation in the hospital, was not influenced by the negativity from others. She also participated did her group sessions. I did not get any bad reports about the hospital. Which is good. This time around my daughter did not come home with bad behavior like the other hospital stays she had previously in the past. She also was supposed to have regular nuro feedback sessions I believe they told me about 12 sessions and she was only able to have 4 due to Dr. Stevenson being too busy, which was a major disappointment. She also had quite a few of her belongings (birthday gifts we brought her, art supplies and an expensive weighted blanket) that went missing.
