Arrowwood has been a great experience. The people here make all the difference. Jamie is EXCELLENT at what he does as an alumni coordinator. He does amazing peer support work. Keegan, Jess, Ms. T, and Ajai are phenomenal group facilitators. Uschell, Joel, Suge, Quan, Claud, Crystal, and Tracy are amazing BHT's. Everyone is so supportive. This was my first time in treatment. Honestly, it completely changed my life. The bonds that I ve made in this place, the sober network I ve built, getting my psych meds right, the entire staff and facilitators- have all been such an extraordinary experience for me. I never understood the difference between just being sober/clean versus actually working a program/recovery. RU has helped me to understand that recovery goes beyond clean time- and it s about changing who you are for the better and continuing to progress as a person overall. Recovery Unplugged was an amazing experience for myself who had tried treatment a bunch of other places and routes, it was truly my last stop. Wonderful staff and very engaging groups! I have been with this program for over eight years. There are so many opportunities offered in the program now it is amazing! Patients learn tools through the comprehensive education of our core groups of drug education, relapse prevention, coping skills, dual diagnosis, life skills, mindfulness, etc. Patients also have the opportunities of learning how to use a computer, build their resumes, get tutoring for the GED, take the GED test, go to Driver's Education, take college courses and the list is building everyday. The staff is a great team of hardworking individuals that put their hearts and souls into what they do.

An excellent house to go if you're in need of mental health care. Unlike going to a hospital psyche ward, where the nurses are just waiting for their shift to end and the doctor talks to you quickly and writes some prescriptions and rushes you out to see the next patient, the entire staff focuses on you. From the doctor, to the counselors and even the cooking staff, they focus on every patient as an individual and get deeply involved in your case. A very warm, cozy, welcoming environment, nice rooms and bathrooms, and excellent food. It's like a second home you can collect yourself and gather your thoughts and prepare for the outside world again. I highly recommend.

The house that is associated with this property is a great place to go if you're in need of emergency mental health care and assistance from substance abuse. They do not offer detox specifically but if you're doing a detox, they are able to support with their varied staff of psychiatrists, PRN, nurses, and psychologists as well as peer support specialists. I wouldn't have made it to today as psychologically intact as I am without them! My issues were: they cannot always accommodate a vegetarian or vegan diet & the nightly bed checks require some disturbance if you're a light sleeper. They offer ear plugs but you may want to bring a sleep mask to get your best rest. They are genuinely caring people and I highly recommend!

CFD saved my life I have battled an Ed for 2 years now and since coming here and just leaving my life has been turned upside down for the better. I have learned so much here than I have in any other treatment. CFD helped me fix my body image issues and helped my exercise addiction and I was able to find other activities to enjoy besides those. All the staff here are absolutely amazing and so kind. I love you Sebastian, Lydia, nurse ester, and Sarah. I had a therapist switch in the middle of treatment but my new therapist was still able to provide an amazing experience at CFD and helped me so much. CFD is great and the treatment is very personalized with your own personal meal plan and after a while you can prep your own meals and go on walks. My favorite thing was going out and going on exposures to help me. All my peers were amazing and always so helpful. The staff is so kind and respectful. You can also go on walks once you reach medical stability. Highly recommend CFD.

Center for discovery really saved my life! when I was admitted to cfd I was scared, but all the staff were so welcoming and very helpful with answering any questions I had. Most of the staff were extremely kind and so understanding. Nurse Esther was the best nurse ive ever had an all of my treatment. Ended up in the ER here after a bad accident with an Exacto knife. Everyone the front desk; the nurses, the doctors, the tech staff were absolutely wonderful. They were friendly and professional and treated me like an actual person. They saw me as quickly as they could, did everything they could do to make the situation as tolerable as possible, and got me in and out in like two hours. Honestly the most positive experience I ve ever had in an ER.

Our daughter was in desperate need of help. Her ED had gotten into a dangerous zone. Out patient therapy was just not enough to bridge the gap for us. We began looking for facilities and this one was semi close. Leaving your child can be very difficult and reading reviews I felt somewhat comfortable with this place.Ilida was really easy to work with. When we arrived, she went through all of the initial paperwork with us and made sure we understood everything before signing. While there our daughter was able to gain weight and understand her relationship with her body image and understand how her eating disorder affected that. The staff was great and quickly developed relationships that were therapeutic with my daughter- helping her use her DBT skills when she would get upset. As a mom, it does your heart good to know that when your child is upset, there is someone there to comfort them when you can t. She went in having withdrawn into herself, no longer enjoying activities she had previously enjoyed, and as previously mentioned, very sick. She discharged a healthy, happy kiddo! Enjoying activities she hadn t enjoyed in a long time!The only negative comments I have is that the house was in somewhat of a transition of staff upon our arrival. Our daughter was assigned a virtual therapist & virtual dietician. While both of these individuals were great, we would have much preferred in person facilitation. There were some lapses of communication a few times, but again, staff was/is in transition. When it s brought to their attention, they are quick to rectify this.At the end of the day, the good definitely outweighs the bad and if I had to do it all over again, I would send her there without hesitation. Actually at discharge, our daughter was in tears because while she wanted to come home, she was going to miss several of the staff!

This is one of the best special education schools in the area! The teachers are compassionate and patient. The Kellar School is a place where lives are changed and hope restored. There is a pervasive atmosphere of caring and degree of professionalism that makes it a preeminent special education facility. The curriculum is sufficiently individualized that one feels as if the entire facility exists solely for the benefit of one's own child (and EVERY parent is left with that same feeling). The faculty, counselors and administrators are proactive in communicating developments and, even more impotantly, responsive to parents' concerns (emails are typically answered within a few hours, and never more than a day later).Proof of the efficacy of Kellar's methodology is readily apparent. A student's improvement here is noticeable comparatively quickly. While there are oscillations, the trend is always upwards. The result is that the Kellar School ensures that its students realize their maximum potential. Often, that is a higher degree of functionality than anyone had reason to imagine upon enrollment.I have examined the other reviews here, and the negative ones are apparently talking about different components of Inova's treatment apparatus. The Kellar School itself is an amazing facility and any family that can get their student admitted here should count itself fortunate. For any student who falls within the parameters of its treatment options, I highly recommend that the family use every means at its disposal to advocate for placement.

So the only thing bad I will say is they can t dose you coming in off the street for the first time I transfered from Genesis Fredrick Maryland, because FMTC accepted my insurance so I wouldn t have to pay out of pocket anymore (could be pricey) and they actually dose you first day of treatment so atleast you don t have to be sick, and leave the clinic feeling hopeful ,but once the ball gets rolling FMTC is a ok place to be. The staff is able to get things done in a timely fashion. They recently had a big turnaround of staff and lost some good counselors to another clinic , but they are starting to get things back in order. I highly recommend this place if you are willing to do the work this program will work for you. Keep the faith you got this! You just have to take the first step I m 5 years clean and opiates ran me for 17 years and let me tell you I don t think about opiates anymore hope this helps

I came here to drop off donations in a bad mood, fully expecting it to get worse after seeing other people s reviews on what their donation experience was like. When I pulled in however, I was greeted by three male workers with the biggest smiles on their faces. They helped me remove my donations from the car and were extraordinarily kind in the process. Their happy energy was contagious, and I left that experience in significantly higher spirits. I checked out the inside of the store afterwards and can also confirm that this store has it all. I don t know who those workers are, but I hope they know how great they are!
