Valley is just one of a long list of places that offer helpful resources it is NOT the be all end all of rehabs and it doesn't act like it is. Valley helped me when I was a child and their crisis counselors letter kept me out of juvy so years later after my 8th OD I picked them as my first rehab since they helped me in the past. 1 year 11 months sober now, Everyone is kind and helpful and fufills the role they were assigned. Part of getting sober is to stop blaming all your problems on the world and others and a lot of people in these replies seem to have had a skewed view of what VCSB was supposed to do or made mistakes and blame the situation they put themselves in on this place. I say none of this to put myself above them, everyone is in different phases of there recovery and I only wish the best for every person who is involuntarily or voluntarily chosing to go here. I chose VCSB and I followed the directions to a Tbut the most important factor was chosing everyday to try an be better, if you try to be a little bit better than the day before you will do whatever you set yourself upon. Thank you VCSB for helping me at my lowest.

If you needed a sign to get clean, here it is. Savida gave me a second chance at life, I've been at savida for over a year and can honestly say throughout my addiction I've gone to plenty places for recovery and Savida has helped me get my life back, my kids back, and most importantly I got ME back. Everyone there is amazing but the two that helped me most is Angel and Camilla. Angel is my doctor and literally my (Angel) she's helped me learn to put myself first and that everything in life doesn't come easy but believing in myself and in God has brought me a long way. And Camilla works at the front desk and is always so generous if I have to reschedule appointments if make appointments, etc.. They make everything much easier and enjoyable, sometimes I have to bring my two kids so it's kid friendly, while you're getting the care you need. Also the new location is extremely nice, and the new staff members are a joy to be around.

I have been going here for 3 years and never had a problem until Madison, the counselor, showed up. I would give Madison 0 stars because she doesn't follow HIPPA. She has a big mouth and she has been running her mouth about me all over town, even things that were said in my private sessions with her. I give Medmark 5 starts, but Madison gets zero stars. She'll be the reason I leave Medmark. She's trifling and always trying to not schedule me so that I'll have to have longer sessions with her. I don't want to talk to Madison at all and sit in her office pretending to be happy about it. I brought up the rumors she started and she laughed.

Bridging The Gaps was everything I expected and far beyond. The disease of addiction is so powerful and manipulative to the human brain that entering any treatment facility felt like I was accepting failure as a person. BTG helped alleviate the stigma associated with this admittance from the first call and through-out the entire process of treatment; continuing their connection and acceptance long after exiting into the real world. The atmosphere of a small, closely knit team of clinicians helped cater to every individual need and treat you as a human and not a number or folder. I felt so moved by the education and effort they put out that I returned a year later to deliver flowers as a gesture of gratitude. I had a procedure yesterday and I was very scared and emotional. My surgeon dr. Cherian did a wonderful job reassuring me of his confidence and ability. My care team, specially nurse Ashley, was incredibly supportive and comforting as I was visibly anxious and emotional. I felt very cared for by everyone who assisted me and overall it was a very comfortable experience. I am eternally grateful for each nurse and dr who came to see me before the surgery giving me detailed descriptions of what they would be doing and how they would assure a smooth operation. All of my questions were answered and I felt adequately informed and cared for throughout the entire process. Thank you to my whole team but specifically nurse Ashely, I was truly touch by her compassion and empathy towards my situation.

I arrived at Virginia Baptist on 8/19/26 for an outpatient procedure to have my gallbladder removed. Immediately upon starting the procedure Dr. Lilly found that my gallbladder was badly inflamed and loaded with gallstones and sludge, which was the complete opposite of the ultrasound results I'd received in early July. He & his team then spent 2+ hours making sure that the failing organ that had been causing me distress for months was dissected and removed. I was pretty bummed out learning that I was going to have to spend a night in the hospital but I quickly found out that I had a great care team. My RN & aide on day one, Jessa & Mary, took great care of me. And the night shift care team, Agnes and La-Tamra, were both great and very patient with a very tired and sore man. The lab tech who came by for early AM labs performed one of the least painful hand sticks I've ever experienced and it was such a relief not to have a bruised hand like I end up having so often. On day two Jessa was back to look after me along with a different aide, Michael. They were both so kind and took such great care of me throughout the day. The whole care team definitely made an unexpected hospital stay a great experience and I can't express enough how thankful I am for them, their kindness, their good energy and professionalism.

Birth experience in 2024 was great. Birth experience in 2026 not so great. This may be a longer review, but I want to be as specific and fair as possible about my experience. For context, I gave birth to my second child at this hospital. As I did with my first delivery, I chose to labor and deliver without an epidural or other pain management interventions. I felt confident in this decision because I was familiar with my body’s cues and knew when it was time to push based on my contractions and the natural progression of labor. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Kim Marie Freeman during active labor was disappointing. At a time when I needed support and encouragement, I felt rushed through the process. It seemed as though my labor was being treated as an inconvenience rather than a significant and intensely personal experience. What was particularly discouraging was being told to do something during labor and then being laughed at when I was unable to do it immediately. Labor is physically and emotionally demanding, and those interactions felt insensitive and dismissive. Rather than feeling supported, I felt pressured and unheard. That said, I want to emphasize that the rest of my experience at the hospital was excellent. The nurses, patient care staff, lactation consultants, room service team, and everyone else I interacted with were exceptional. They were attentive, informative, compassionate, and mindful of my needs throughout my stay. Their professionalism and care made a very positive difference in my overall experience. While I am grateful for the outstanding care provided by the hospital staff as a whole, my interaction with Dr. Freeman significantly impacted what should have been a positive birth experience.
