I love this place! All the doctors and nurses are professional and helpful. It's very peaceful and everyone answers my questions and helps me get the best care for my children, myself, and my brother.

Went in to the urgent care side about a month ago for a broken toe. Receptionist was great when checking in, and it was super quiet. Felt like the only person there! Didn't wait more than two minutes to get called back. Nurse was nice and helpful, x-ray lady was nice too! The urgent care doctor seemed like he was in a rush, and didn't explain anything besides the fact that my toe was broken, which sucks. Overall great experience! I am one who avoids doctors offices as Functional medicine is far more helpful. But when it comes to a broken bone, urgent care it is.

They provide acute inpatient psychiatric stabilization and intensive inpatient treatment for both adults and adolescents, with programs for addiction treatment, co-occurring disorders, and psychiatric issues. Treatment provided for substance use disorders includes medical detoxificati | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Lakeview has its pros and cons.
The positives:
They have a lot of staff who are there around the clock, a team. The food is great. You can bring your pet to the parking lot and push your loved one around the facility in the wheelchair to see their pet outside. The caseworkers are very responsive and interactive. CDC is proactive with things that can pop up and treat. They do great referrals to facilities if you feel they are not the best program for your loved one. The aids work hard even in their bad days. The front desk ladies were always super sweet, kind and friendly. They have all the resources and tools for an outpatient. Som of their old school methods can be great tools of motivation for the right person. Speech therapy was great but if the patient didnt want to participate in anything theyd litterly let them lay in bed. The aids do work their asses off so I don't blame them for being assholes at times but they need to take care of their staff medically, mentally, physically and most importantly double check their own cognitive abilities occasionally. The nurses did their rounds of vitals and checks. They did share the positives they did or saw. The day shift nurses were rather proactive.
The negatives:
I really apologize I don't know how to describe this facility any better. If a live in daycare is what you need then this is the place for your loved one. The physical therapy provided wasn't aggressive for what we needed. My loved one came from Frodert and was walking with a walker before he left. When he left Lakeview he was so weak from being a liability to leave bed that he couldn't even stand without maximum assistance. They don't force them to work if the patient doesn't want to. Their aids are not trained how to speak to patients with behavioral things or with serious brain injuries. They're unfortunately the only ones who do most of the hard labor in this facility. They did improve how to communicate with TBI patients after I stress my concerns but things got worse in other ways. There were multiple times I walked in and eventho I made them aware he has a food allergy it would still be on his plate. Some of the staff were so unkind he was afraid to push the call button. He was a bit of an asshole but no one ever deserves to be afraid to tell someone they have to take a shit. People with brain injuries some days they remember things momentarily and others they just don't. To yell at someone and say stop playing. I will never forget. To tell a patient they can pull themselves up and rotate themselves with their only arm that works stand their and laugh so they don't have to work is sickening. We all get tired and worn out but this is why they are sent there. The most important part of being in a facility is that you shouldn't have to worry and that their in good hands. Not nurses who keep their purses in the restrooms of the patient with over the counter drugs or whatever for whatever. Not staff smoking weed next to an incapacitated person when it's after hours. I really hope this facility straightens out. It has alot of staff and potential. They just need to square away who does what and when. Make sure staff have their own locker rooms to something. A drug test for employees. I think they are just still trying to figure it all out. Each aid kind of did their own things it wasn't consistent. It was like everyone was on their own program when to do rounds, when to give water, who to watch and not to, brushing teeth never happened and if they needed assistance setting up food you knew who the people who actually do their job were. I will never forget walking in and the little old lady with her curly best hair on watching him from afar In the hallway like I know you're signed off to eat by yourself but I'm here because I care enough to save your life while you're struggling. He was choking. She is probably way past her time working mentally and physically but she's where she needs to be when no one else is there. Thank you! Just thank you! The aids with no sense of direction who ran the floor anyway ty.
