Kim usually doses me 2 out of 3 days a week and gives me my takehome most times, and she, as well as the staff follow procedure. Very professional, but yet understanding and no judgement. There's every reason you can talk truthfully to any one of them. And then there's Elijah. Oh Elijah.... wouldn't be the same without him and his open eye. Nothing gets past him. He's a wonderful man of God. He and anyone here will go out of their way to help. Another thing I want to mention is the knowledge I've gained from Kim as far as other medical issues. Mindy is also great with things like drawing blood, for instance. That's a HUGE deal. If it doesn't work out, it's because my veins are small. They will not keep hurting you and one nurse doesn't mind giving another one a shot at it. Last but not least, gotta love Chad and Ken!! My Family is the best!! I love you, Mindy, Kim, Constance, Elijah, Ken, Chad, Carol, Cierra(sp?), and all my family here. I hope I left no one out. I don't know what I'd do without their listening ears and kind smiles and caring eyes. They all are equally Godsent. As Kid Rock says, To all you crackheads, you critics, you cynics, and all my heroes at the methadone clinic!!! BAWITTABA!! My new counselor, Carol, is sweet. I haven't known her long, but she and Scott(my previous counselor) has helped me probably more than any other I've had here. I know a few staff members put in a word to get me that help. I also felt I wasn't heard during my psych eval and felt I had an additional diagnosis. After a year of therapy and psychiatrist appts, they did amend my diagnosis..they listened to me and had evidence to back their diagnosis. They did right by me. Sarah Dettweiler is the psychiatrist I have been seeing and she's very good at what she does..she's calm and very nice..not intimidating and listens! Brenda..I had an episode at her when I was waiting for my medicine and this sweet lady was always very very nice. Also I had a few counselors I wasn't happy with and they switched me to Brittany...she's truly the best I've ever had. I feel my care is safe in their hands and I trust them! Karma 1 year ago I had an extremely abusive childhood. It takes a lot for me to learn to open up. I’d been hospitalized over 20 times in 3 years for hurting myself. I never thought I’d be able to get even slightly better. I was told I was going to live in a facility for the mentally ill and disabled. But i have one last try here! I’m harm free for over a year! T T 1 month ago I recently had surgery and stayed at this hospital. The pre-op was thorough, efficient and professional. My surgery went well and the medical team was great. My stay on the second floor went well, also, and I felt very cared for. I'd especially like to commend Bryan, Sidney and Tammy for their kindness. I have been to the e.r. with my daughter several times when her knee would displace. She always received good care. I have been to the e.r. several times with my father & I can say they are especially compassionate with the elderly. The best experience occurred recently. We took my Dad to e.r. at Dekalb Regional for an infected, bleeding (diabetic) foot & they admitted him to a room quickly. We have been here a couple of days with him receiving antibiotics in his I.V. & Dr Thompson checking on him twice a day to consider if the foot will need surgery. From first contact after hours on a weekend, to accepting my son for treatment even before we had payment worked out, to working with my insurance to get everything covered in-network when they were technically out of network to the fantastic intensive outpatient services. I have seen a dramatic difference in my son from, mood, attitude and overall life goals. He has always enjoyed going and has never once complained. I have had Greaaaaattttt counselors here who are very helpful and not overly strict when you have earned that right but I've also had others who are not great counselors and clearly do not want to be there. I have upped my review to 4 of 5 stars because I finnaly have a amazing counselor again. Still could be better im a 32 year old perfectly healthy young man and a physical being required every 3 months is just ridiculous. It wouldn't be so bad if I didnt have to wait 2 hours+ to even see the doctor for that physical. Also not being aloud to dose untill completing my physical is ridiculous since the wait time is so long. Ive never dosed then left without completely doing everything required of me so I shouldn't be treated like ive done something wrong. Everyone from my personal counselor Ms.Gooden, to my support specialist Mr Hughey and administrator Mr. Terry. Even their billing team went out of their way to help me get set up on the day they could see me and also helped me find benefits that I did not know were available. Dr. Atchley is a great Dr. and you will see he cares about everyone. The nurses are very professional and caring as well. I was tested and evaluated by Dr. Hirsh in 2021. She was extremely kind and very professional. She cares a lot for her job and her patients. I recently have had to get my youngest daughter tested for autism and adhd and so far our experiences have been pleasant. When we couldn't make it to the office, due to sickness, Dr. Hirsh was kind enough to let us keep our appointment and do our appointment through video call. We will have her testing done here soon and I'm sure that will go just as pleasantly as the rest of our visits here.
