Westcare is working great for me! A big part of that reason is from my counselor Abrina! She makes me feel that there are people out there that actually want to help me. I know I can talk to her about anything that I’m struggling with and it’s certain she will always have the right answer! Big kudos to Abrina for carrying the whole program on her back!!!

If you ever are ready to get off the drugs you are on, this is the place that will help you get it done. They truly do care and are really trying to help you. Best thing that has happened to me in about 10 years. If you're really ready to get help this is the place to get it. But only if you're ready. Don't waste their time or money. Because if you're not ready I'm sure there's someone else out there who is. So don't take that spot up if you're not serious and ready. Because someone else needs it. Update; It has been about 6 years and still doing great. It's worth it. If your ready make the call and get the help. They make things so much easier. And make it possible. The veterans medical outpatient facility located in Zephyrhills has a very large and important responsibility of taking care of many many veterans that are disabled retired and the list goes on and on speaking for myself I can only say I am amazed that the staff have always provided myself with the best of medical care and treatment and trust me I have had some serious medical treatment provided on my behalf by the VA and I am so proud to be a Navy veteran and to have served my country honorably and now 49 years have passed by after my first visit to a doctor at the James a Haley veterans hospital in Tampa Florida located on Bruce b downs back in those days that hospital was not as large as this satellite clinic here in Zephyrhills and every time I need to go to Tampa for specialty clinics I am so amazed and proud to be able to say now my country serves me by taking care of my medical needs as they promise upon my horrible discharge in 1975. The growth of the James has become so large and modernized with only the best care provided to our veterans by highly trained doctors and the nursing staff is unmeasurable and I can honestly say I cannot recall one veteran complaining of the care they received and I have met many many veterans from the highest rank to the lowest and not ever been disrespected by another veteran and I am proud to say I have witnessed love and respect when these men and women go beyond being just a neighbor as they jump up to help another veteran that is struggling in a wheelchair a cane or a walker that gets assured no man is ever left behind and always delivered to the proper specialty clinic. Every time I have an appointment I can see the love that leaves me with a feeling of Hope for humanity showing just how great and wonderful it is to be an American in this great United States. Now I am looking forward to watch the process of a new medical facility that will be built here in Zephyrhills just behind the CVS drugstore on Gall Blvd and it is a assuring and worthwhile project to spend federal money as everyone realizes that a military veteran gives up so much of his person so that others may live in freedom and happiness 😊

The staff were exceptional. Caring, sensitive, and experienced. The facility is beautiful, on the water, with an exceptional pool (ideal for swimming laps!), and a state of the art fitness center, with a marvelous indoor basketball court. Groups encouraged sharing, and the therapists are outstanding! Dining is very, very good. Wonderful experience for my husband, as Riverside gave him a great start on his recovery journey!

Great meetings and interesting classes to guide you through recovery. Lots of tools to help you cope with becoming clean and sober. My therapists really cared about my well being as well as my family’s. Easy going lifestyle with a laid back atmosphere. Food was pretty good with lots of variety, snacks and drinks.

My aunt has been a patient here for almost 2 weeks. She has been provided excellent care here by the entire clinical, rehab and administrative team. The nurses and CNA's have provided the care and compassion well above our familiy's expectation. We are shocked at how much she has thrived at this facility. She says she hasn't felt this good in a long time. She absolutely loves the food and has even put on some much needed weight. Laura, my therapist was awesome. She was very patient with me, I asked so many questions. She helped me to understand my problems and gave me tools for the future. She prepared me for a successful recovery. I've never tried yoga before but I took those classes and I learned how to stretch. I have a handicap with my hip and it really helped me with my pain and flexibility. I highly recommend coalition.

When I first walked through the doors of Sophros, I was at one of the lowest points in my life. That rock bottom everyone talks about. I had been to my fair share of rehabs and treatment programs and somehow could not seem to get sobriety to stick. I was hopeless, alone, and scared. But this place changed that, and set my life on a new trajectory I didn’t think was possible. This place is truly one of a kind. I hit the jackpot when I was assigned Shannon as my therapist. You’ll see her mentioned a lot in these reviews, and for very good reason. To bluntly put it, she saved my life. And I’m not being dramatic when I say that. Her wit, compassion, and dedication is one of the main reasons I’ve made it this far. She taught me to not complicate the uncomplicated, to stop trying to outsmart my disease, and get out of my own way. Simple truths, that seemed impossible to grasp. The entire team at Sophros is made up of some of the most caring humans I’ve been blessed to encounter. They didn’t give up on me, especially when I felt like giving up on myself. Shannon, Veronica, Rajon, Laura, Luna, Drew, and everyone else, make this a truly wonderful healing place. I’ve been through PHP, IOP, and hope to continue on with OP when that time comes. Outstanding program! Everyone is very welcoming and supportive. I was fortunate enough to stay in the new housing for the duration of PHP. It’s a good balance of freedom and accountability. As compared to being locked down like other PHPs I had considered. Sophros provided a number of different approaches in sessions to help keep everyone engaged. And my therapist Shannon was top notch. Definitely would recommend.

I have gone to many, many treatment centers in an attempt to adress my alcoholism. Countless. The staff at Sophros is unlike anything Iv'e encountered. They are not just a business, and we are.not just numbers. The individualized attention and care for our wellbeing is by far unmatched. I have the pleasure of having Shannon as my therapist, connecting dots and helping me see things that no other therapist has been able to do. Rayshawn, the senior therapist provides ART, a therapy I knew nothing about but honestly has changed my life in a big way. Tim, in charge of housing here, goes above and beyond for us everyday helping us set.ourselves up for success. Even the techs are amazing, Cam, Jaime and Tyler are always there to help. Top notch doesn't do it justice. I only wish I found them sooner.

This place has helped me in ways I will forever be thankful for. Anytime I call the women at the front desk answer promptly and are incredibly helpful. They are just as nice and helpful in person as well. The security guard always has a smile on his face and definitely brings a strong sense of safety in the building. Latiere Wallace is a smart caring kind woman who listens and offers multiple possible solutions. She never tries to rush me out of her office and she always makes me feel valid and understood. I really appreciate her and everyone else here. Schena in the pharmacy is another incredibly kind woman who gives courtesy calls when I am due for a refill on my prescription. Very low cost professional mental help. You get what you give of this place and as long as you are respectful to the staff they are the kindest most compassionate group of people. Sometimes the lobby can be a bit rowdy but it’s important to keep in mind everyone is either there for help or there to help. Thank you Baycare.

Each time I go I love all the smiles and comrades. They treat all of us great. Most everyone knows the floor plan layouts. It can get confusing. Doctors and nurses etc are great. I just found out they are a bit under staffed in certain area specialty clinics. Yet they manage to get it done or let us vets go thru community care. Just clean all the bathrooms.

Every time I make a new account for a free YT Premium subscription I always leave a 5 star review for WhiteSands. I went three times and it was always so magical. It’s great during the winter months even more so. I was just talking to a friend about WS and we were talking about how it’s such a vacation…. Wake up and walk to the common area with the breakfast buffet. Get a cup of coffee. Walk back to your room and get ready for the day. Process group. 11am group. Now it’s nap time. Afternoon group. Phone. Gym. Hit the buffet… again. Some sort of activity at 8pm. Now the day is almost over and you and your roommate agree on a movie… but first you’re a little hungry so grab a snack and walk around for a second. Anyways. My last time I was there I was a real brat because I was scared…. You know the real world hits fast. 40 hour work week. 5 meetings a week. Therapy. I’m off the Suboxone now, also. Anyways just I think I’m so melancholic about WS is it always because a beacon of Hope. From my first time to the third time I usually arrive in trash bags spun out. And I don’t plan on relapsing. But I made the mistake of going to a treatment center on the East Coast and the entire time I was there I kept saying “You’re not doing this right. You get a vape! Where’s the vape? Where’s the nightly activity? Where’s the community?” The therapist and counselors are actually top tier. Case Managers actually are hands on there. Sometimes I just get so flustered with life I wish I could just go back to WhiteSands and take a break. It’s literally the only reason I pay my insurance premiums.

Incredibly grateful for my stay at WhiteSands. This is as close to five star that you'll get with Florida Blue. Received amazing therapy with Maria, she's an asset to the company! Also thanks to Lawrence, Donald, Anna, Eric, Mike, and Keshawna for group sessions. I've been here before, and they've improved! Amazing case management, medical (including nurses), psych, dietary, gym facilities, and extra activities to keep things interesting. WS has everything you need to begin the healing process and enjoy your stay. I leave with the tools for a successful recovery.

One of the best rehabs I have been too. I have been to. Therapist Maria is amazing. There is always more than 1 group to choose from and information is broken down in interactive and easy to understand way. Groups are led by very knowledgeable therapist. Staff and nurses amazing as well! Director does not hide behind a door. Beds are comfy, tvs in room , gym and pool. Food isn't bad. They meet you were you are but dont leave u there. My first visit to this VA clinic. Some things don’t change. VA nurses/Techs need access to my medical history not just doctors. Be ready to answer tons of questions for both primary care and mental health. Why not have both in the room for patients who get care at both???? Similar questions. I love getting my services here! The concierge Renee physically walked me to my destination. Sheila was able to get my info over to my primary. Dr Parsamehr and her nurse Mia took care of me and got me over to Jay. Jay was able to communicate with Nelson who fit me into a tight schedule and he and Adianez got me all set. After five years of therapy, I have successfully completed treatment and discharged — something I once wasn’t sure would ever be possible. I began in addiction and substance abuse counseling and later transitioned into mental health therapy, and throughout every stage of my journey, Mrs. Barbara Pritts at Tri-County Human Services provided consistent, compassionate, and professional care. I wanted to share my personal experience with New Beginnings of Tampa — especially with Miss Ginny, who truly helped me during one of the hardest chapters of my life. I’ve taken a few days to reflect on how to write this review in a way that’s fair and honest. My story began when my father became terminally ill overseas. As a medical assistant and certified phlebotomist working at Tampa General Hospital/USFTGP, I made the difficult decision to resign from my job and return home to care for him during his final months. It was one of the most emotional and challenging periods of my life. I gave up my job, apartment, car, and even had to rehome my beloved dog, Peanut. After my father passed away, I was devastated but determined to return to the U.S. and rebuild my life from scratch. Coming back was far from easy. I had no housing, no car, and no income proof while waiting to start my new position at the hospital. Many housing programs required pay stubs, and shelters were full or unresponsive. That’s when I found New Beginnings of Tampa and spoke with Miss Ginny, who kindly offered me a shared room for $750 a month, including utilities and Wi-Fi. From the moment I met her, Miss Ginny’s warmth stood out — she reminded me of Dolly Parton: gracious, caring, and full of heart. She clearly explained the house rules, including curfew hours (9 PM–5 AM) and program expectations. At first, I misunderstood the structure and thought it was simply shared housing, so I accidentally broke curfew once due to a work-related reason. When I was told I could face eviction, I was terrified. But after explaining my situation and providing proof from my job, Miss Ginny gave me a second chance — something I’ll always be grateful for. During my stay, I worked 12-hour shifts, saved money, bought a car, and eventually moved into my own apartment. The program gave me stability, shelter, and structure when I needed it most. I also appreciated the safe environment — it’s a no-drug, no-alcohol facility with regular testing, which helps maintain peace in the home. Each resident has a fridge shelf, laundry access, and a full kitchen to cook meals. There’s a nice backyard patio where residents can relax, socialize, and enjoy visits from local wildlife — including peacocks, raccoons, and a friendly outdoor cat named Max. One important note is that attending church services three times a week is mandatory unless you’re working. Coming from a different faith background, I was initially hesitant, but I found the church community welcoming and respectful. Still, I’d like to kindly suggest that the program consider making church attendance required only once a week — this would give residents more flexibility to rest, work, or focus on personal goals. I also believe that asking residents, many of whom are financially struggling, to donate during services could be reconsidered with compassion, as every dollar counts for people trying to rebuild their lives. As for the housing itself, I do think there’s room for improvement. The property could use some maintenance and better organization, as space is very limited and shared bathrooms can get crowded. It’s also important for residents to keep their belongings secured, as items can occasionally go missing. Considering these conditions, lowering the rent slightly would make the program more accessible and fair. Despite these challenges, I’m deeply thankful for Miss Ginny and New Beginnings of Tampa. My dad went here to get checked from a spider bite on his wrist and he was told that his wrist didn't look that bad and that they didn't seem the reason to do paperwork or even get him admitted and just to keep doing whatever he's doing and just to come back in if it gets worse but the nurses and doctors are not the problem they are pretty good just the front desk did not help my father and I am not happy with that. My surgeon is highly skilled, compassionate, kind, encouraging and spoke LIFE over me the entire time I was in her care (many months at LRH Hospital) despite feeling defeated. Excellent treatment program, I would recommend Healthcare Connection over any other place. Most rehabs have pools, spas, and luxuries that actually harm your treatment progress. This is definitely the place you want to go if you want to succeed. My favorite part is that the staff understand what you are going through because most of them have been through the same process.

Where do I even begin? When I called during Covid after going through a horrible breakup Diane answered the phone asked me what was going on and told me she had a specialist who could help me. Her energy from the moment she answered was warm and I remember telling her “you’re not getting off that easy, I want you to help me.” She made me a deal and said we could start and if it didn’t work out then I would see her peer. We talked once a week for months about everything from my relationship with my parents to romantic relationships and she really helped me heal my inner child. I looked at this time with her as an investment in myself and being able to break my families generational cycles of behavior for my future kids. She was always sweet, respectful, on time, and on point with what she told me. I did every homework assignment she gave me starting with a dream board and within 24 months it all came true. Met the love of my life, started a family, and have been able to help make a positive impact on my partners children from a prior relationship. I can’t thank you enough for empowering me to realize my full potential, step forward with full confidence, and most importantly never look back at the trauma with a bad taste in my mouth. Everything from then until now has been used as development and I have a beautiful happy baby that knows what it means to be loved. You get out of this place what you put in. I am 31 years old now. I was in and out of this place from 12 to 17. When I first started being sent there I fought it. I hated it. I fought with staff and fellow peers. Getting older I started to see the point. Unfortunately I wasn’t ready to get clean and didn’t get clean until I was 22. I am thankful to the people who cared for me here. This place is NOT paradise. But that’s not what it’s supposed to be. You’ve got issues you need to work on if you’re here. Focus on them and attend your meetings!

I honestly love it there the staff was real nice and caring the food was good SOMETIMES it had its days but the only bad thing is when I was there some girl was screaming in her room and they caught a boy in her room idk what they were doing but it was intense but anyways besides that the ACTS program helped me out with a lot of stuff for example they taught me self-respect
