Transitions Recovery Program offers individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction a safe recovery environment within a residential inpatient or outpatient program provided by this rehab center. This addiction treatment center is situated in North Miami Beach, Florida, and the rehab offers recreational activities alongside clinical services
Transitions Recovery Program in Miami didn’t just help me get sober it gave me a life beyond my wildest dreams. I walked in lost, broken, and unsure if real change was even possible. What I found was a deeply compassionate and structured environment that not only supported my recovery, but challenged me to grow in ways I never thought I could. The staff is incredible many of them are in recovery themselves, so they get it. They met me where I was without judgment, but also didn’t let me stay stuck in old patterns. The clinical team, the group sessions, the one-on-one therapy, and even the everyday accountability they all played a part in reshaping how I saw myself and the world around me. What really sets Transitions apart is that they don’t just focus on staying sober they teach you how to build a meaningful, fulfilling life in recovery. They helped me reconnect with who I really am, helped me process trauma, build healthier relationships, and most importantly, believe in myself again. I’ll never be able to fully put into words how grateful I am for this place. Transitions helped me reclaim my life and then some. If you’re struggling, if you’re feeling hopeless, please know that change is possible. This program showed me that.

Transitions literally saved my life. It’s like no other rehab I’ve ever been at before, I’ve been to over 20 different rehabs and this one will definitely be my last lol. The staff here treat you like family and really care about you here. The outings were always so much fun, the groups were great, and I love how it’s a reality based program. 10/10 if you are thinking about coming here do it. Shout out Abe, Will, Shiffra, Josh, and Austin 🐐🐐🐐

This was the third detox/rehab that my daughter went to, and boy what a difference. The first two had promised me certain things and I could never even get a hold of them on the phone, when I would call. Unfortunately my daughter never completed the first two programs and ended up leaving on her own. I finally found South Beach detox and they were amazing. Especially Russell. He kept in touch with me. He was either texting me or calling me on the progress of my daughter and I cannot tell you how grateful I was. We shall see how she does in the long run.But so far I cannot be more impressed!!!

In regards of who is looking to come here. Forget about the outdoor beach pictures you’ll be locked down (you can also leave at will) but there’s no sand ever so forget about the beach idea. Bring a good hoodie cause at night is going to be freezing. Come after a few yoga sessions cause you maight not be so lucky to be treated as a person with an illness by some but most likely as a pill container and also expert on the field. Please study what pills you maight need cause they’ll ask you as if you are supposed to know what you need and they’ll give you what you ask, as if you have a nursing certificate . This was a little concerning. I did had a good time nonetheless but mostly because of some singular beautiful people that does work there as Mr. Robert, Dra Odalys and few other beautiful souls that was along the journey making it good as much as people. You’ll also will encounter others with whom youll be able to share experiences and have support from also. The head of the businesses and administration people are amazing humans so don’t hesitate to approach and ask what you need they will help but try to cooperate 😅 or you’ll be bitched out. I’m happy that I came at the end… I can say. I’m taking with me some very good experiences and very few bad moments. That’s why I give it a 4 ⭐️ just because I think they can still could do much better but…We all human and perfectly imperfect. A gym are I think is needed but yeah….Thanks to all the good ones and that’s all folks. Best wishes to you all! But yeah no 🏖️ beach at all. 😅 Enjoy as much as possible “ Midnight North Pole Detox” ⛄️❄️🥶 Jose, Patric, E, Ashley, and few others I can’t remember their names thanks!

Douglas Gardens Community Mental Health was a good place from my experience of 4years, the only odd thing is that they do not provide virtual services. I had a case worker named Joyce and I recommend anyone ask her to be their caseworker. Possibly the best detox I have been to. They medicate you well so it's not over or under, extremely comfortable rooms, and they do their best to allow you to rest but stay occupied at the same time. Destination hope was the best program I’ve ever been to. It has saved me in so many ways the clinical staff is the best I’ve seen they truly care about the clients no matter the time of day. Specifically Gabe King, Keanna, Josh and Lystra truly made such an impact on my journey always caring and helping me even if I didn’t want to listen. Lystra helped put my family that had been broken for years back together my grandmother regularly is on a zoom session with other families learning how to navigate having a child with mental health and substance abuse issues. The techs there wow they love and support you until you love yourself, Lead tech Rob and female Janide and natalie and Gloria truly looked after me as well and Daniel they are amazing. The nurses all of them care so much and value making sure you are okay. The way serious medical emergencies are handled there are top notch! I couldn’t recommend a better place if your finally tired of being sick and tired. The alumni that we have the community we have built you will develop a family. Also can’t forget how good the food is! This place prides itself in taking care of clients and I couldn’t recommend a better place! <3

In March, during mental health awareness month, my husband and I attended an alumni event at Destination Hope. Our son is a patient and is receiving services for his mental health struggles. Later I found out that they also help people with addiction issues. We had no idea what to expect on our visit. Upon arriving, we were welcomed by both the staff and patients. We actually didn't know who was whom, I still had a certain expectation about what to expect in a mental health facility. I was wrong, thank God! Everyone seemed pretty "typical." Later that evening we gathered together for some very personal and raw presentations by alumni, guest speakers, and therapists. With respect to their privacy, I will refrain from sharing their personal stories; however, I would like to share how they made me feel.... connected, inspired, sympathetic, amazed, sad and happy, appreciative, encouraged, and informed. We also saw the mutual love and respect that the employees had for each other. There's a lot of teamwork going on there! This is a place where interns, volunteers, and even patients come back to work and volunteer. When all was said and done, we could finally sigh a breath of relief that our son was in the right place, receiving the right help, with the right people! We are so thankful that there are people, (these exact people, actually) out there who have dedicated their lives to helping people like our son. May God continue to provide support and encouragement to them all!

I've been seeing Melissa since 2020. I'm not the best client because I'll go for therapy for a period of time and not come back for long periods of time, mainly due to the cost, but everytime Melissa is kind and welcoming. Our sessions were always open and she made me very comftorable while she gave me advice and tools to use so I can function better in everyday life. Now in 2024 I am living my best life. I have a new job that I adore, I am in school for my CVT license, I am a equestrian, do kickboxing/boxing classes, strength training, and spend time with my friends and family. Melissa is someone I can thank for that even tho it's been months since our last session I think getting things off my chest and her educating me on how things work like grief has really helped me strive t odo well. Thank you Melissa!

Unfortunately, I have been to a lot of treatment centers. No one does it like Simple Path Recovery. The love, support, and care you receive there you won’t find at other facilities. Would not go here again. I will preface with The staff were all really cool and i met a lot of cool people here, I was also here when they were still on covid protocol, but I can't imagine much has changed, maybe I'm wrong? I went here with a severe alcohol problem, I had been to an "American Addiction Centre" rehab before when I lived in Las Vegas, desert hope specifically, and that place was amazing, I figured all ACC rehabs were, but going to this place taught me that they are not. The first step of treatment, my biggest issue was just how small the area I was in was, mind you, they had covid protocol at this time so it could have just been that, but my biggest issues with this place are with the second level of care you go to, where you will likely spend the majority of your time. The place they put you up in is this like, almost a motel area, where you have basically an apartment and you share it with multiple roommates, it's small and dirty, but that's not even the issue, the issue is this "apartment", is in the middle of downtown Hollywood florida with a cantina directly across from you and the HARD ROCK HOTEL is right around the corner! Classes all go from like 7am-3pm so from 3pm to the next morning youre basically stuck in this tiny glorified motel six with nothing do for hours, I probably lost several weeks of my life chain-smoking cause I had NOTHING TO DO But here's the biggest part I take issue with. The food part They don't feed you They give you like a 70 dollar card, that doesn't roll over, so you have to spend as close to that exact amount of money, take you all on a group trip to a big grocery store and make you shop for your own food while they follow you around I can't speak for everyone else but when at my lowest of lows, so low that I've stopped working for a month or however long so I can go out of state, charge $40,000 or whatever to my insurance I DONT WANNA GO TO THE STORE!!! I don't wanna have to think about what I'm eating I don't want to have to cook and do dishes Who wants to go SHOPPING while they're in REHAB?? A REHAB THEY PAID TO BE IN??? I get that for some people this could be a positive But I'm assuming for a lot of people, myself included, that is stupid They only take you once a week too, and I remember seeing people miss their opportunity to go I don't remember why or what the thing was, but I guess insurance decided a bunch of people didn't need to be there and so people slowly started getting pulled out one by one, and by the time it happened to me they gave me the option to try and fight it or just leave once the insurance didn't wanna cover it anymore and I just left when I got the chance, which ended up only being like two weeks And they still ended up trying to charge me for the whole thing, which that's just corporate American nonsense. But ya That's my experience at Recovery First Not a swell one I don't exactly regret the decision to go, cause I did end up getting sober, not because of this place though but It has a place in my recovery, and like I said staff was cool, and the people were cool. Shopping on my 8th day of sobriety was not. Listening to drunk people party at 2am was not Losing two months of my life from chain smoking out of boredom was not. Here's a picture of some lizards I saw while I was there.

I have been to treatment a total of 8 times in my life. I was never able to put much more than about 6 months together from the first 6 treatment experiences until I went to destination hope. After my first experience with Destination hope I was able to put together 27 months, then had a minor setback but was welcomed back with open arms. Destination hope was the first center that I had ever been to that was dual diagnosis. once there I was able to get the help that I needed to finally start turning my life in the right direction. I was treated for my depression and anxiety disorders as well as substance abuse. The therapists and group facilitators were amazing, they were very knowledgeable and you could defiantly tell that they cared about each individual that walked through their doors. The techs that work there have all been down the same roads that the clients are going through and have very valuable insights, with tips that have helped them through with their recovery. The environment of the facility is very uplifting with many different things to do when your not in groups. After my second time around with Destination Hope I am currently 6 months sober as of July 24th and going strong. this is a facility that i would recommend to anyone that has either mental or substance abuse issues or the combination of both.

Tuve problemas de parqueo ya que el mismo estaba súper lleno, pero hubo una información de que uno se puede parquear en una cuadra que se llama new paper. After our beloved father suffered a brain stroke, worsened by arthritis in his neck, he developed dementia. We were devastated, unsure of what the future would hold, and feeling lost. But from the moment he arrived at Southern Winds, we were embraced by a team whose compassion, dedication, and humanity gave us something we thought we had lost—hope. From the front desk staff who greeted us with warmth and friendly smiles, to the security team who made us laugh with gentle jokes—knowing our hearts were hurting—every interaction brought comfort. The cleaning crew, nurse technicians, and every staff member who passed by us made sure we were okay. They didn’t just care for our father—they cared for us, the family, with genuine kindness. Every day, our father was bathed, shaved, and dressed in clean, regular clothes. He smelled fresh, looked peaceful, and was clearly being cared for with love and dignity. These small but powerful gestures reminded us that he was being treated not just as a patient, but as someone deeply valued. We especially want to thank Social Worker Ernesto, whose guidance and support were a lifeline. Ernesto took the time to explain everything clearly, helping us understand the steps needed to bring our father back home. He was patient, compassionate, and truly committed to our father’s well-being. Alongside Ernesto, the physician assistant, nurses, caregivers and the doctors treated our father as if he were their own father or grandfather—with tenderness, respect, and unwavering care. The medical team kept us informed every single day, calling us with updates and making sure we felt involved and reassured. Their dedication went far beyond duty—it was personal, and it meant the world to us. If we could list every single name of the staff members who touched our hearts, we would end up writing a book. That’s how many people made a difference. From the smallest gestures to the most critical decisions, every act of care mattered. To the board of Southern Winds Hospital: please recognize the incredible team you have. The doctors, nurses, social workers, technicians, and support staff are not only skilled professionals—they are healers, comforters, and heroes. They gave our family peace, hope, and the gift of more time with someone we love deeply. Today, our father is home. He is responding to treatment, showing signs of joy, and doing better than we ever imagined. Even with the challenges of dementia, he is thriving—and we truly believe that the love and care he received at Southern Winds played a vital role in his recovery. To everyone at Southern Winds Hospital: thank you. Thank you for your kindness, your professionalism, your laughter, and your heart. You gave us more than medical care—you gave us healing, hope, and love. We will never forget what you’ve done for our family. With all our love and gratitude, From a Family Forever Thankful

I cannot express the gratitude i feel for this ministry. My Aunt Laurie arrived at the Davie Women's Home in 2012 and the transformation began. After she graduated the program she did an internship and is now a staff member. So thankful to God and the Davie TC Women's Home for the woman she has become.

The staff here have helped me so much when I was on the adolescent. Woodmont out of the… other psychiatric hospital in south Florida definitely cares the most. Nurse Jesse, and Nurse Delores are the best. The best techs are Lisa and Millie.

As someone who was appointed here 4 years ago, the staff and nurses were very nice in treating me for my psychiatric issues when I was 17. I overall had a positive experience here. Although scared of the adult ward section because I was not even 18 yet and the adults screamed a lot and threw chairs around which caused us to be on lockdown for a little bit. But overall good environment for anyone under 18. Free cookies and food obviously, you get these sweet grippy socks. Unfortunately one downside, they remove strings from literally every bit of clothing you may have that you could use to hurt yourself. So now out of habit I remove every drawstring I have from shorts that I buy. And they misspelt my name 3 times lol.

Douglas Gardens Community Mental Health was a good place from my experience of 4years, the only odd thing is that they do not provide virtual services. I had a case worker named Joyce and I recommend anyone ask her to be their caseworker. She wasn’t just a case worker; she was also a person who seriously helped people through their emotional and mental issues. She is also a person to ask for help if you need help
