I had the unwilling honor to spend Memorial weekend at Crescent Pines and I can't say I COMPLETELY wanted to be there; but I have to say, it actually really isn't a bad place! The staff is really nice and helpful. It was my first time in a place like this and it was absolutely not like anything seen on TV. We had three meals throughout the day and even a snack in the evening. If you didn't need medication they didn't force it down your throat. People don't walk around like zombies and really express themselves when they feel like it. If you're a smoker, they give you smoke breaks. You can't go out whenever you want but at least they allow you to have them. If you do what you're suppose to do, meaning; not showing out and actually following the rules, your time there will go by smoothly. The only downside is not being able to go to your room throughout the day. Like if you're tired, you would have to stay out in the community room and find a place to nap. You don't necessarily have to make friends but its helpful finding people you could pass the time with.

I had always heard bad things about Pinewoods. Staying there helped save my life. In the WellStar hospitals, people have to wait three days to be sent out -- Pinewoods makes that easier, you don't have to go anywhere but Pinewoods. They are open 24/7 days a week. You also can bypass being treated like a barnyard animal, wearing scrubs and using a paper blanket to cover up with. If the nerves are bad with a Patient, the last thing they want to be is in an isolation cell, hear others screaming in the cell next door, and feel judged by the sitters and doctors. As long as you don't go out there and act foolish, (due to fear or anger) You are treated with kindness and respect. Thanks to Pinewoods Staff.

My recovery started here. Wonderful place. I came in with nothing but a hat and a dead cellphone, wearing only hospital paper clothes. The techs made sure I had clothes and shoes when they took me home and they helped me with a 30 day supply of medicine. I learned a lot in group therapy and they made it fun. After 4 or 5 failed attempts to stop abusing alcohol I wound up at MARR. The day after my 50th birthday. I was extremely upset and disappointed with myself. But something told me that I belonged there. And I made the best decision of my life. To stay there.
I stayed for the mandatory 3 months and then an extra four more.
Not only did I learn to stop drinking and live life without alcohol, but I leather be an adult. To ask for help. And most importantly I learned that I was not alone in my life or my journey.
Wonderful place with great staff. You may not know it or believe it but this place is the BEST chance you have at getting sober and learning how to live a good life. Period.

My time at MARR has fundamentally changed my life. I have a strong foundation in sobriety, many coping tools in my toolbox and a large network of sober men and women who I will forever call friends. I especially love the Professionals Program (ARP) where I participated in Mirror Image classes, working with peers who had overcome their addiction and achieved the life I wanted to be living. I really appreciate the workers at this hospital. They are kind, accomodating and respectful. I didn't feel condescended to, nor treated like less of a human being. I felt that the workers set a tone of respect and dignity and support on the unit. The groups were awesome and very well facilitated. I felt like they weren't just there for a paycheck, that they actually cared about doing a good job. I would definitely go back there if I ever need mental health inpatient care.

It was a safe place during my most suicidal years. I really appreciated the ability to isolate in my room, unlike other facilities that lock the rooms during the day. That was a necessity for me as an autistic person, in order to prevent overwhelm and truly feel safe. Therapy groups could be stressful, but I wasn't forced to attend which I really appreciate. When life feels so out of control, small things like that can go a long way

Purple is an amazing place. This program has helped me completely turn my life around. The staff at Purple is nothing short of fantastic. I called on the behalf of my husband to make an appointment. However they threw him off on volunteer behavorial health. For the past two days he got threaten with an ambulance and then yesterday the cops took him to River Park. My husband needs meds not a mental ward stay for his severe depression that comes with his suicidal thoughts. I have never in my life ever seen someone treat him like a criminal until now. Yet he can not make no contact with me. To take our cell phone away from him and now am I supposed to know how he is doing? Answer me that please. We have been to this place three years ago and we never got treated like this until yesterday.

Cheer mental health put my juvenile daughter on resperdone and it stopped her growing, and being able to have children in the future,, I highly recommend everyone to please check out everything involving Cheer mental health before deciding to use their facility for treatment,, please use generations instead of Cheer mental health

I had an amazing experience there! Shaq was amazing, Mac was amazing, and and Cody was amazing!! Also, the therapists that I had there was amazing!!! I still went thru issues after I left there because of my own choices, but I have over a year clean now!!! I even work in treatment now myself!! I had a very positive experience at Twin Lakes! The counselors were great and I loved all the techs. I learned much and laughed often. The classes were diverse, interesting and varied. Also, much fun for some of it. There were tears and much shared memories between the clients. I would 100% recommend for a place to have peace while healing your mind and spirit.

Absolute garbage. Was told that someone shouldn’t report a sexual abuse claim because it’s gonna cost a lot of money to get them to show up to court. The therapist also stated that if not given a heads up about what’s happened because she didn’t want to get overwhelmed. Stated the fees had to be paid in cash per her boss. Also has taken over a month to get medical record's. She sits behind a computer and chooses to not be a victim advocate. She stated that we would be charged if she had to come to court. Rebeca morris is not a victim advocate. She is spreading false information about how her company operates. She is an absolute joke at her profession if she can’t get from behind a computer and do her job. You don’t get to do a piss poor job and have no knowledge of how medical law works and get away with it. I will proceed to make sure that it gets known by all the news agency’s in the area and I will not stop until she is held accountable for not doing her job. She stated my girlfriend would be charged for every patient she does not get to see if she is subpoenaed to court to be a witness and her boss only takes cash for those charges. They want in cash because it’s not taxed and that the way they charge is illegal. It’s an absolute joke. Rebecca morris should loose her license by trying to intimidate someone into not making a report. It’s absolutely garbage. She is supposed to be unbiased, but instead she is incompetent, unorganized, and honestly just downright lazy. I hope nothing but the worse for her and the firm she represents so poorly by not wanting to do her job.
