This is the place I first went to when I made it known my struggles with mental health. My mother found the closest place, via recommendation from a school counselor, and I have been with them since 2020 I believe. I have since become clean from many self harming behaviors, as well as went into therapy which has helped me so much. I absolutely love Natalie the therapist, she is such a good therapist and I enjoy talking to her even if it s just about random things sometimes instead of therapy. My psychiatrist has had her moments, and I m on the edge about switching honestly, but regardless she has helped me get onto some of the right medications and has tried her best to keep me up to date with bloodwork to check for any major concerns regarding my medication. And I appreciate her efforts to help me. I ve switched through nurses about twice, but my new nurse Dale is wonderful. She s gentle when taking blood, which is wonderful since I m prone to passing out!! And she is funny, she has a very uplifting personality from what I can tell. Overall, I am pleased with this establishment. 10/10 on almost all aspects.

I literally can't say enough about the staff and how absolutely wonderful they are. Jesus himself must have selected these people to help those in need. The amount of care each individual person provides and how well they listen and talk to you is above anything I could have ever imagined.If you are nervous about joining this program like I was, don't be. Just left today after 30 day program..the staff were incredible and I learned alot about addiction and the long road to my recovery. Great food, medical staff and management....O.G and all. I had a podiatrist appointment. I was seen in a very short time. They cut my toenails and the VA doctor was on a tele-med. She gave me two pairs of shoes and some diabetic socks. I have very low expectations and I am not sensitive to bad attitudes. They get 5 stars from me.

I want to take a moment to extend a heartfelt and well-deserved shoutout to Ms. Robinson of the VA Pain Management clinic. She exceeded my expectations in the most meaningful way when I least expected it.On September 23rd around 4:30pm, I was at home when I noticed several missed calls from an unfamiliar number. Like most people these days, I waited for a voicemail before deciding whether to return the call. Ms. Robinson eventually sent me a text explaining who she was and asked that I return her call at my earliest convenience. It turned out that she was trying to reach me in efforts to discuss her concerns about my mom s overall well-being during a visit to Pain Management.For context, my mom has been dealing with sciatica, shoulder, and knee pain and host of other issues as far back as I can remember. While addressing these physical issues, Ms. Robinson noticed other concerning signs, beyond outside of her specialty, but ones she felt strongly needed attention. This was particularly touching for me because I ve been aware of these signs myself and have often encouraged my mom to see a specialist to address her wellness and limited mobility...but she s been resistant.What followed was an hour-long conversation between me and Ms. Robinson in which she developed a care plan with me to help get my mom back on track.As a Veteran and Physician Assistant, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges Veterans encounter within the VA system, including extended wait times and, in some instances, less-than-ideal care, which can unfortunately overshadow the commendable work of many dedicated professionals. However, this experience also highlighted that the VA is comprised of individuals who pay attention to detail, and Ms. Robinson exemplifies the exceptional dedication of those who go above and beyond their roles to advocate for their patients with compassion and professionalism.I sincerely hope the VA will encourage more clinicians to emulate this proactive approach throughout the system. Ms. Robinson, thank you for your care, diligence, and compassion.

As an alumni of the breakthru house I can speak on them for days. This place taught me to crawl after I fell flat on my face in life. The love and support from the staff there is beyond amazing. There is an anointing on everyone that works there! You can feel it in the air the second you arrive. I was mandated there by the court so the officers delivered me to them. They would not allow me to enter still in shackles. That moment changed everything for me. I was finally free! The staff there taught me how to remain free of those shackles and I am forever grateful for the help they freely gave with no expectations in return other than my success. I really enjoy the front desk staff here at this clinic. They are always friendly and thorough, regardless of how busy the clinic becomes. This area is highly populated with veterans so it can be very busy, but a little patience goes a long way. I appreciate the opportunity to be served by fellow veterans working at the VA. When it comes to parking, it can be a little difficult, even with the new lot across the street. I recommend coming earlier if your appointment time is after 11 AM so that you can find a spot.

My husband is patient, we were told to take him to ER last week sat there or 8hrs all they did was give him something like Tylenol extra strength and some patches to use for muscle spamming. They took xrays and CT scan said they didn't see any blood clots. Drew blood and sent him home. They also told us to make followup appt with primary care Dr at clinic. Took him to see Dr appt today and we have to go back tomorrow to get more blood work. My husband is a very active person and for the last month he can't sleep and ever joint and muscle in his body is putting him in so much pain. Just trying to get up and down or ride in truck is making it worse. Just want to see him get back to normal. Hopefully they will be able to help him. Other wise I will try and get appt with different Drs.

My relative had great success here! The staff is super nice and very helpful. Comfort, Marissa, Dr. Jill Smith and others were really friendly and compassionate and they were able to adjust my relatives medications and the new meds are working much better. So give Riverwoods a chance. My relative is very nice and pleasant and isn't a mean person to the staff, so perhaps that helps too. Compared to other Behavioral Health places in Metro Atlanta, my relative said they were the best! Ended up at Riverwoods because closer hospitals were full and this was the closest place that had an open bed. The phone receiptionists are very nice too. They are busy with emergencies, so be patient and know they are doing their best...best of luck on your visit. Hope they can help you too!

was here march 24-29 in harbortown (lowest intensity) unit after a suicide attempt. staff was great, especially jasmine, emmanuel, and sherry. you could tell all of the staff members were really passionate and cared about their patients. never saw or heard any roaches or rats anywhere. the food was also way better than i expected it to be. it was a safe environment and i came out feeling better. however, there is nothing to do outside of groups, so you are just in the day room watching tv for at least 6 hours a day. it s a small place with one day room and a little square of grass outside with benches area with a wooden fence. if they opened up the sports courts and allowed the therapy dogs back it would be a way better experience. would definitely recommend if they fixed this.you also aren t allowed in your room outside of the midday break and sleep time, which sucked you have to leave the doors open, which also sucks but makes sense. but staff should definitely knock before coming in during hygiene times. the medication management was kind of weird though and almost felt like they pushed meds on people who might not have needed them. the meds also made some patients extremely sleepy so a lot of people are just sleeping in the day room all day because it s boring. the young adults should definitely also be separated from the older adults.4 stars because the staff is amazing and it s relatively nice, but docked because it s boring and the mixing of three completely different life stages (young adult, mid adult, geriatric). if i could do half stars it would be 3.5

I was at the anchor program IOP for 12 weeks. During those 12 weeks, Ms. T and Ms. Eva was it very professional they did their job well and help me out a lot during my program. The two of them together balance out the program. I had no issues during the time that I was there. I will recommend this program to anyone that is seeking any type of help.
