So I did enjoy my stay. They helped me recover and get the help I needed when it came to ADHD, OCD, Bipolar, anxiety, and clinical depression. They helped me reach my normal baseline. To feel normal again without any suicidal thoughts or ideations after discharge and only felt sick on discharge day due to side effects from the medications that were subscribed to me. The nurses I had were amazing they were so kind and helpful. I luckily had a good experience and the food and sweet tea was amazing because I remember saying as the patient that Walton county Piedmont had nothing on them with the sweet tea. I just do know the nurses, social worker, and doctor those that I had were amazing and good at what they do with patients like me that were mostly at risk for harming themselves but would never harm anyone they did make me feel understood and as a person instead of subhuman so I felt comfortable being open and honest. Since the trust was built and now due to these people I have an amazing psychiatrist, therapist, and case manager. The only thing I did not like was not being in constant communication with my friends and family but I was able to communicate with some just not all like I needed. I do also want to thank Dr wright for what he did for me the plan works long term like it’s supposed to. Overall I had a good stay and it felt like a vacation. I know it made me love watching shows and movies again, music, coloring, journaling, reading, and puzzles. Thank you for helping me.

It was a safe place during my most suicidal years. I really appreciated the ability to isolate in my room, unlike other facilities that lock the rooms during the day. That was a necessity for me as an autistic person, in order to prevent overwhelm and truly feel safe. Therapy groups could be stressful, but I wasn't forced to attend which I really appreciate. The Active Recovery Lifestyle approach really works. I have tools I use every day now, a real community, and people who care about my actual recovery in my life. However, they don’ | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Let me start with the food… only because I was a former chef. The food is prepared fresh EVERY meal by actual trained Chefs. Not only do they serve amazing food, they genuinely care about the clients. This plays a HUGE part with clients getting the nutrients they need to heal and grow. I enjoyed every meal and conversation with them.
The staff to client ratio here is the best I have experienced at this level of care. All of the staff from the techs, nurses, counselors, clinical directors, providers, and admissions do their job well. They ACTUALLY care about the clients and get to know them personally.
My Counselor was absolutely amazing. He helped me out more than he could know. I also had my moments with stress and frustration. It was handled with understanding and empathy, rather than judgement or punishment. Thank you brother, I am very grateful we met.
My medication provider got to know me on a personal level and they listened to my situation and needs. THEY ABSOLUTELY DO NOT OVERPRESCRIBE or make you suffer with a poor taper. It was a breath of fresh air after previous experiences. My medication that was prescribed helped me stabilize and improve my mood and experience. I plan on staying on the prescribed medication and continuing my psychiatric care.
Aldo the techs do an amazing job. They are on the front lines night and day with new admission patients. They actually get to know the clients and participate in their recovery as well. Some of them even participate in activities with clients. They deal with a lot at times and they handle it professionally and with compassion.
The nurses also got to know me on a personal level. They genuinely care about the clients needs and well being. Medication time was always warm and welcoming. Also sometimes I would discuss any issues I was having and they would listen. I had a cardiac emergency from a genetic heart condition and the nurses worked hard to stabilize me. IT LITERALLY helped save my life. I am beyond grateful for this. 🙏
Tomorrow is my last day here after a 30 day stay. I can honestly say I will miss the staff and food from here. If you stay in GRATITUDE you can heal and grow here. We all have our moments, that is what recovery is. Learning to stick and stay with the plan, even when all you want to do is run! The staff here helped see me all the way to the finish line. I can honestly say I am very grateful to have come here. I celebrated 10 years no drinking this year, but there is more work to do 💪.
Thank you Sunrise Staff, you helped me more than you know. I am speaking from a grateful heart. I am actually sad to leave and that says a lot about the staff I met here. They helped me heal and grow. Now it is time to put to work what I learned during my stay. ❤️🩹

I had a very positive experience at Sunrise Detox. Jeff Hamilton is an amazing counselor. He genuinely cares, listens, and has a way of helping you look at things differently without making you feel judged.
Nate and Lawrence are also amazing chefs. The food was consistently good, and that may sound like a small thing, but when you're going through detox and having a difficult time physically and mentally, having good meals really does make a difference.
The techs, nursing staff (Howard, Justin, Denise, Joi, Lisa, LeAnn, Beth, and Millie the Wonder Dog), and nurse practitioners (Brooke & James) were also very good. I felt like the majority of the staff truly cared about the people they were helping and understood how difficult detox can be.
Detox is obviously not somewhere anyone wants to have to go, but the people at Sunrise made a very difficult situation much more manageable. I especially want to recognize Jeff, Nate, Lawrence, and Brooke for the impact they had on my experience. I am very grateful for the care and support I received while I was there.

Im currently a client on methadone that has moved from Ca. to Ga. It was spur of the moment with no time to make arrangements. I spoke with ERIC on Healthqwests csr dept based on New Jersey. Fyi. Ive been in tech supt, customer service, Quality Assurance & M.I.S. For over 30 yrs Ive worn a headset and have been helping customers. Ive ALWAYS gone above and beyond to help, which is why I can say that ERIC assessed my dilemma for what it was and did his best to move Heaven and earth for me to get me the help i needed 2 days ago. He had an entire queue to help and he took my case as personal as was needed to help me. Moving here I have to change my Medicaid to Ga. which is NOT ez or quick. And I, having heart disease and 5 stents in my heart from 2 heart attacks. Short version of of i didn't get help and go into withdrawl the strain on my heart would no doubt KILL me. The man devoted most of his day trying to get my situation straightened out. Im detailing this because I want you to know this was the BEST service ive ever received in my 60 plus years on this planet, and it happened when my literal life was on the line. Healthqwest cant be beat if you want genuine effort with your help. The prices are competitive but you can't go wrong using them.
Ill answer any question or comment too. The medication I take is no joke. I take it for a broken back I got when I was year ended on my motorcycle at a red light. I take it for Pain mgmt.
Its a serious subject and serious things happen with it....and more without it. Id be crippled, so you can see the magnitude of my plight.
Eric knew and did everything he could.
I cant say enough for them.

I came to Southeast at one of the lowest points in my life, and from the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed and supported. Sean made the intake process feel comfortable and helped ease so much of the fear and anxiety I had coming in. Jay also went above and beyond to help me with supplemental needs like food assistance and getting my Social Security card, which meant so much during such a difficult time in my life.
What stood out to me most was how genuinely caring the staff is. Southeast provides so much support during treatment — transportation, cleaning supplies, weekday lunches, and most importantly, a safe environment where you can truly focus on recovery. Many of the techs and group leaders are in recovery themselves, which makes a huge difference because they truly understand what clients are going through. All of the housing and clinical techs are incredible, and I especially want to thank Jenn, Tracy, Edwin, Avery, and Kevin for the support and kindness they showed me.
Cookie and Wendy made a lasting impact on me during my time there and still do today. They truly care about the clients, create a supportive and safe environment, and always brought compassion, encouragement, and positivity when I needed it most.
The groups were incredibly helpful, especially those led by Cassandra and Jimmy, who both bring real experience, honesty, and compassion into their work. My therapist, Carlie, has also been such an important part of my recovery journey. She has been patient, understanding, and genuinely invested in helping me grow and heal. All of the therapists are wonderful, but I definitely wanted to give mine a special shoutout! I’m so grateful to still be working with her while transitioning into outpatient and sober living.
The nurse practitioner and Len also went above and beyond to make sure my individual needs were met and that I felt genuinely supported every step of the way.
Southeast never made me feel like “just another client.” The care here feels real, and that made all the difference for me. I was referred here by several people in the recovery field, and now I completely understand why. If you’re serious about recovery and looking for a safe, supportive place to heal, I highly recommend Southeast.

MARR is an excellent choice for treatment, the staff all competent and qualified. There are doctors and nurses on staff/on site. Everyone works around the clock for the benefit of their residences - there is absolutely no other program that provides as complete of care as MARR does. They offer intensive care through every stage of recovery for each client. There are few other programs that provide extensive, long term, physical and emotional level care, individual and group therapy, teaches applicable life skills as well as drug and alcohol education and support. I have seen MARR do wonders for many people, from all backgrounds and situations, and leading to clients actively living productive, happy, substance free lives and contributing to the world and people around them. All of this and at a ridiculously affordable rate comparably.

MARR holds a very special place in my heart. I love it. It was everything I had heard previously to going there (the best way to describe it is “big girl rehab”.). If you want to get and stay sober MARR can help you.
It does make sad that there have been so many changes since I have gone through the program. It seems like pretty much the entire staff has changed.

I am sure everyone realizes that professionals in the behavioral and mental health field have a difficult and challenging job and I have experienced both the ups and downs, but I have never felt a reason to write a positive review until now. As the legal guardian of my adult daughter, it has been difficult finding the right help that i am comfortable with to help her on her road to recovery but my recent experience with Ridgeview institute Monroe has been a positive one. I spoke with several behavioral therapists to get an update on my daughter, and they were all very professional, but Coresa Thomas took her duty of care to a higher level that I did not expect.
She literally went above and beyond what I think is normal considering her workload to explore every possible resource and placement option for my daughter, maintaining consistent communication with me and acting as a true advocate for our family. And she is a great listener with relevant questions and encouraging responses. She said she would call me back with an update, and that is exactly what she did. It is impressive that she can manage her workload especially considering I am sure there are many more cases like my daughter that she is handling and my family recognizes that she, including the rest of the team, does not have an easy job and we appreciate everything that you do especially in today's world. In addition, she helped manage the process to place my daughter at a different provider for continuation of care and this took a load off of us because we interviewed several providers and got the run around - so I would imagine Coresa and her team had to do the same thing.
She did not ask for a review, which is surprising, so I took it upon myself to ask her if it was ok for me to write a review on her level of services.
My experience with Coresa at Ridgeview Institute Monroe should be written up as a "best practice" for other providers / institutions to follow as a standard of duty of care for working with those of behavioral and mental health challenges.
Navigating behavioral health challenges for a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences a parent can face. From the moment I began working with Coresa, her professionalism and heart shone through.
In healthcare, it is rare to find someone who not only performs their job with exceptional competence but also brings profound empathy to every interaction. Coresa’s tireless efforts, transparency, and genuine care have given me and my daughter's mom a tremendous peace of mind during a critical time. She represents the absolute best of Ridgeview Monroe Acute Behavioral Hospital.
It is a great relief that my daughter is safe, in good care, and that I have found a compassionate advocate in Coresa. When navigating mental health care, finding someone who genuinely listens and works tirelessly for loved ones, and family makes all the difference.
I wanted to ensure that her leadership team and families with loved ones who are looking for a high level of duty of care is aware of the incredible impact she and Ridgeview are making. Professionals like Coresa are a rare gift to families in crisis, and her efforts deserve the highest praise and recognition.
