Staff is great!! Tiffany L. Overstreet 4 years ago I have been learning to live with a horrible disease that can only be treated and never cured. I love Mrs. Burnadette. Excuse my spelling mistakes. I have no clue how to spell anything anymore. She works the front desk and she is excellent at it. Then there’s Ms. Ava she is wonderful. She doesn’t judge me at all for any changes in my vitals. She asks me about my mental pain and my health problems. She’s very understanding but she’s stern about skipping doses of medicine and waiting till I’m empty to order a refill especially if it’s the last one and they have to call Dr.Patel. To get an ok and it may take a couple days. That’s a very big No No. I absolutely love Dr.Patel. He listens to me and wants me to know that he cares about my illness and he wants to help me learn and put to work some coping skills for my life. Things are not the same and I’m going to have to learn how to live in my own way and learn how to be happy again. I am so happy to have such an amazing doctor that is trying to help me find a way to get happy in my new life. I trust everything he says and hopefully he will always be my doctor. and friend! April White 1 year ago I recently had the privilege of spending a week at Willowbrooke Mental Institute, and I must say it was a truly transformative experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of calm and serenity wash over me, thanks to the beautiful surroundings and the warm welcome from the staff. The facilities were top-notch, with spacious rooms and a serene atmosphere that made it easy to relax and unwind. The therapy sessions were led by experienced professionals who were knowledgeable and empathetic, and the group sessions were engaging and thought-provoking. But what really impressed me was the sense of community that permeated every aspect of the program. From the daily activities to the meals, everything was designed to promote connection and camaraderie among the residents. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that everyone felt supported and included, and I left feeling like I was part of a true community rather than just a patient. Overall, my experience at Willowbrooke was nothing short of exceptional, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a compassionate and effective approach to mental health treatment. T T 1 month ago I recently had surgery and stayed at this hospital. The pre-op was thorough, efficient and professional. My surgery went well and the medical team was great. My stay on the second floor went well, also, and I felt very cared for. I'd especially like to commend Bryan, Sidney and Tammy for their kindness. I have been to the e.r. with my daughter several times when her knee would displace. She always received good care. I have been to the e.r. several times with my father & I can say they are especially compassionate with the elderly. The best experience occurred recently. We took my Dad to e.r. at Dekalb Regional for an infected, bleeding (diabetic) foot & they admitted him to a room quickly. We have been here a couple of days with him receiving antibiotics in his I.V. & Dr Thompson checking on him twice a day to consider if the foot will need surgery. Mindy is also great with things like drawing blood, for instance. That's a HUGE deal. If it doesn't work out, it's because my veins are small. They will not keep hurting you and one nurse doesn't mind giving another one a shot at it. Last but not least, gotta love Chad and Ken!! My Family is the best!! Well she ended up moving onto another job in April of this year. Then I got my new one end of April. I loved her too but sadly she's going somewhere else too. I see the new one next week. Even though I gave 5 stars I am bummed I keep getting new therapist. I didn't even find out about my new one until she called me today to tell me the news. I feel as if that shouldn't be happening as for some people like myself bringing up their trauma every time with a new therapist causes ptsd for weeks.
