It was the only facility to collaborate and incorporate family members into treatment planning. Especially when someone is struggling with mental illness, self reporting on symptoms and history is inherently challenging. MHC took a comprehensive approach to treatment planning and diagnosing. Their diverse team of professionals allowed for multiple perspectives. They truly are experts in trauma. The care and support they offered for family members, weekly and on demand, was exceptional. I can't recommend MHC more! Emily Shanker 3 months ago Many, if not all treatment centers say they have “highly individualized” care. This place actually does. They bend over backwards to get everyone the specific care they need. I needed an AA meeting every day and a ride to the gym. They brought me EVERY day. The staff at MHC is incredible with most of them being PHD level clinicians. But every one provides life changing therapy. EMDR, changed the way I thought. Trauma therapy told me that I make sense. If you experienced trauma during childhood or at any point in your life and it affects your mental health, or you're not even sure if it does but you struggle with addiction, Nsight is the place for you. There is no other treatment center like it. Their program, groups, counselors and housing are one of a kind. The environment is kept professional unlike many other facilities. The counselors are actually educated and experienced as well as empathetic and relationship based. Nsight is so different in so many ways from other treatment centers. Nsight saved and forever changed my life. It is through Nsight that I found myself. I graduated and walked out of their program a literally completely different and better person. I went home and my mom cried and said she had no idea this is who I am and that I am actually such a beautiful, kind and fun person. After struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction and other diagnosis that were inaccurate. I owe my life today to Nsight, their program and their counselors. We toured the program & were impressed across the board. The clinical staff treated us with empathy and totally understood my brother. The facilities were great, right near the beach. My brother appreciated the activities & I can tell he’s made some life long relationships. The staff (Randall, Allie, Frank, Jenna, Tammy, John, Destiny, Misty, Anthony) were so supportive compassionate and friendly, they really made me feel like I was home. Chef Bill provided 3 delicious hot meals. They provided AA 12 step program, therapy sessions, meditation classes, bible study, fun activities, outings and much more. They addressed and educated me about mental illness as well as addiction. Taught me healthy coping skills and many resources to help with after care also. It’s really clean and comfortable here. And they make sure they give you the attention that you need. I definitely felt that they truly cared. I would recommend Northbound to anyone looking for a rehab center. They literally saved my life. I had been drinking heavily for the past 5-6 years to the point where black outs were a nightly ritual. I kept making the excuses that I could not get help because I had nobody who would watch my 16-year-old Pomeranian, Minion and I could not possibly surrender him. That's where Sober Partner's stepped in. They are a dog friendly facility where they understand that our pets need to be part of our healing journey. A lot of places will state that they are pet friendly, but Sober Partner's truly is. I did not arrive, in my best state and neither did Minion and we were both scared and had a hard time settling in at first. The staff stepped in almost immediately and gave Minion a bath while I was recovering. I wish I had the pictures to share, but they treated Minion with such care and love when I was unable to do so. Granted, they are not groomer's but stepped in when my little love needed some additional support. I did not initially take suggestions nor advice during my first trip and sadly relapsed. My family tried to convince me to try a larger treatment facility near them in NJ and I was extremely unhappy and didn't feel I was getting the care that I needed. It took a lot but the staff at SPN helped me navigate my way out and back to SPN. The second time, I was determined to do things differently as "my way" did not work. I started taking suggestions, opening up, being present in my recovery and a new me has started to take hold. This place is literally perhaps the key reason I have my LIFE BACK! I came into their program in the spring on ‘24, and spent an entire year with them, every day M-F, for at least 6-8 months. I had just had back to back strokes, March and April, and had ended up homeless after the second stroke due to my mother being placed in nursing care and our home being sold while I was in the hospital??? This was on the heels of 4 years of debilitating Long Covid illness, which had me housebound. To say I was fragile and vulnerable is no understatement. The folks at the Anaheim office of Wel-Mor facility took me in and helped me address the awful affects of the alcoholism, that was a result of the deep depression I was in over the state of my health. The staff were kind, courteous and knowledgeable. They assisted in me also accessing the free sober living housing that was available through the Medi-Cal program!! My time there was very well spent, and I am now in my own beautiful apartment in West Grove, back in the classroom working with kids in an after school program in Buena Park! If that isn’t enough, the director of the program went WAY beyond, so incredibly far beyond what I’d imagine just about anyone could or would to assist me in getting my drivers license back!!!!
