I attended Oceans in 2020—it was my fourth treatment center, and at 39 years old, I was running out of hope. I had battled an eating disorder and substance abuse for most of my life, having first gone to treatment at just 15. By the time I arrived at Oceans, I was exhausted—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I didn’t just need another program; I needed something that could truly reach me. Oceans was the last stop on the block for me, and I will forever be grateful for my time there. Oceans was different than any place I’d ever been. I spent three months there, and those three months changed everything. Their approach is genuinely holistic—they don’t just treat the symptoms, they treat the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. For the first time, I began to understand the roots of my eating disorder rather than just trying to control the behavior. I learned practical, sustainable ways to cope, to ground myself, and to reconnect with my body in a way that finally felt safe and kind. The staff are exceptional. Many are in recovery themselves, and that creates an environment of authenticity and compassion you simply don’t find everywhere. They meet you where you are—with honesty, warmth, and zero judgment. Because of that, I was able to open up in ways I never had before. Was it difficult? Absolutely. Healing always is. But it was worth every uncomfortable, tearful, and challenging moment. I can never put to words how profound their program is. I’m still in touch with some of the women I met there, and we continue to support one another to this day. The bonds we formed in that space were genuine and lasting—proof of the kind of transformation that happens when people are truly seen and understood. Today, five years later, I’m sober. I’m the same weight I left treatment at, but more importantly, I’m finally at peace in my body and my life. I have the kind of joy and stability I once prayed for. That’s everything to me. If you’re on the fence about Oceans, I can’t say enough. It’s not just a treatment center—it’s where I found my way back to myself. In that space, surrounded by people who genuinely cared and understood, I started to believe in healing again. I learned that recovery isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress, grace, and choosing yourself over and over, even on the hard days. If you’re considering going, take the leap. I came into treatment at the lowest point in my life, and Ocean Recovery truly helped me turn everything around. Through their program, I was able to get healthy again and learn the life skills necessary to live like a successful person. All of the staff were extremely helpful and caring. Bryce and Casey, the support staff, went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and supported. The overnight staff were incredible during those tough early days when I was struggling the most. The case managers were great at helping me process things and make real progress. Every tech and clinical staff member made sure my needs were met so I could focus on learning and growing. Therapy here was a game changer. The therapy sessions and groups were incredibly helpful, and the outside AA meetings they took us to were inspiring. I even got to see staff members like Reid speak at AA meetings which was awesome. Getting involved in the community was such a big part of my success. We also had amazing outings like bowling, surfing, biking, basketball, and paddle boarding, and being just steps away from the ocean made it even better. I can’t thank Ocean Recovery enough for helping me rebuild my life. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who truly wants to change their life. I also want to add that Danny in admissions helped me every step of the way, he is the reason I came here.

Overall, I had a great experience here. The individual and group therapy was phenomenal and the therapists were so incredibly talented. Halle was my therapist and Juana was my case manager and I cannot say enough positive things about them both as all of my needs and wants were beyond met. Therapists Jen and Lauren were super helpful and knowledgeable. The food was also amazing (props to Chef Kelsey)!! Also, the techs Christine, Jess, and Yoli were THE BEST. All of my struggles were tackled and it was refreshing to have core issues addressed instead of just surface level things. I feel like a new person. The only thing that could really be improved is communication between staff and also staff and clients was subpar at times which seemed as though some important issues were not being handled. The techs seemed to be really understaffed at times which cause some hiccups. By far the best treatment program I’ve ever been to and with some operations adjustments this place would be remarkable. <3

This facility is just what I needed! I learned so much about myself. It was all women and I loved it. It was awesome to have meetings, exercising, dietary, therapy and fun! I would highly recommend this place who is serious about getting sober and changing their lives. Thank you CCR.

Casa Capri is amazing. I had such a wonderful experience. The staff is awesome!!! Casa capri not only helps with detox but they help with your overall health physically and mentally. You really become family with your household. I would 100% recommend Casa Capri to any individual seeking help. Thank you Casa for all that you have done for me .

I spent 8 months at Pacific Shores Recovery the staff there are all human and they allowed me to be me without telling me where I had to go what I had to do how I had to do it I appreciate that they allowed me to make my own decisions and my recovery meant more to me I was only going to stay 30 days I ended up staying 8 months so just remember the place you go for recovery it's what you take from that place it's what you learn because your recovery is yours my recovery is mine it is not Pacific Shores it's my recovery I go to meetings I have a sponsor I work the steps and I do the next right thing and I continue to search for my Spiritual Awakening whatever that may be but this place allowed me to just be me with all the good and the bad and I came to the decisions that they wanted me to come to anyway so thank you pac shores for all that you have allowed me to do and for all the help you gave me along the way I will miss you all!! I cherish my time at Akua and the staff that helped me. Richard, Karen, Gabby, Emily, Candace, and Quincy gave me solid care and guidance every step of the way through PHP and IOP. If you’re serious about your recovery, this is the place to go.

My time at Akua was good for my mental health. I was not in the best headspace upon entering the program. Sharing my story, learning about myself, and having the support of my peers and the Akua staff helped me become more comfortable in my own skin and the world around me. I want to give a special thanks to My case manager, Candace. I’ve never been comfortable around people, but Candace made me feel safe and free to speak openly without judgment. Thank you Akua.

Akua Is a great place to go for aftercare, Whenever I first arrived they made sure I was comfortable at the sober living facility I was going to stay at. The management truly cares about your sobriety. Candace was my Case Worker, she is very knowledgable on addiction. I learned so much in the few months I was there from her. Overall the place was a huge success! My life has completely changed. I am 10 months clean and finally loving life!!!!

Many, if not all treatment centers say they have “highly individualized” care. This place actually does. They bend over backwards to get everyone the specific care they need. I needed an AA meeting every day and a ride to the gym. They brought me EVERY day. The staff at MHC is incredible with most of them being PHD level clinicians. But every one provides life changing therapy. EMDR, changed the way I thought. Trauma therapy told me that I make sense. DBT gave me the skills to handling anything. I wanted to die. I don’t anymore. They saved my life and there isn’t another place like it.

A great experience overall. Would love to specifically call out Doug, a therapist who works here. He, like so many other therapist at the MHC, did a really good job in individual sessions at really addressing the problem and being honest. It seems like he really cares about his patients and has been doing great work. Sarah as well. Those are the two I would reach out to call about.

Nsight saved my life…I started with them a year ago in their Residential program and worked my way down to outpatient because I didn’t want to leave my amazing individual therapist (Alex) along with the whole clinical team who had my back through my darkest times. I cannot thank Nsight enough for everything they have done- you can clearly tell the team/staff was there for the well being of the clients, not a paycheck (theyre the most caring and genuine people ever!). I love Nsight, from the bottom of my heart and I owe them my life<3

I'm embarrassed to say I had been to a few treatment centers before I was fortunate to be placed at Nsight, although I know that's true for many people who struggle with their mental health and addiction. If you experienced trauma during childhood or at any point in your life and it affects your mental health, or you're not even sure if it does but you struggle with addiction, Nsight is the place for you. There is no other treatment center like it. Their program, groups, counselors and housing are one of a kind. The environment is kept professional unlike many other facilities. The counselors are actually educated and experienced as well as empathetic and relationship based. Nsight is so different in so many ways from other treatment centers. Nsight saved and forever changed my life. It is through Nsight that I found myself. I graduated and walked out of their program a literally completely different and better person. I went home and my mom cried and said she had no idea this is who I am and that I am actually such a beautiful, kind and fun person. After struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction and other diagnosis that were inaccurate. I owe my life today to Nsight, their program and their counselors. I cannot recommend this program enough. If you're on the fence between choosing Nsight and another place - choose Nsight. You won't regret it.

I attended PACE almost 7 years ago to the day !! I would never have been able to quit using without their help. I was addicted to crystal meth and heroin for over 15 years. I never thought it would be possible to get sober !! PACE Saved my life. That is all.

When I entered PACE Recovery Center, I was very sick. I had been to many treatment centers to help with my addiction and mental health and nothing worked and I was beginning to lose hope. PACE returned that hope to my family and I. The facilities are clean, well kept, and are amazingly, I lived 4 blocks from the beach. The highlight of my recovery journey was the highly educated, knowledgable and caring staff employed by PACE. In contrast to other facilities I've attended, the staff at PACE want to be there, and want to help you. When I struggled, they were there for me, regardless of the time. I spent many nights on the phone with my incredible case manager, Chris Mortazavi, as well as the client advocate, Drew DelGaudio. Both of those individuals helped save my life, and the relationship I was able to form with them was well beyond anything advertised or expected from the facility. To summarize, PACE is an incredible program staffed by incredible men and women who will support you in this difficult stage of your life. I couldn't recommend it enough, and the changes PACE assisted me in have saved my life. A special thanks to all the staff I had the privilege of working with, specifically: Bowen Rizk, Brian Greenwald, Chris Mortazavi, Drew DelGaudio, Rita Yacoub, and Bryan Johnson. The list of people at PACE who positively impacted my life is much longer than this, these individuals are just a few who were especially involved in my treatment and recovery. I am leaving PACE with ambition, hope, and gratitude for my life.

This place truly saved my sister’s life. The house was spotless, the staff was incredibly supportive, and the care provided exceeded our expectations. My family and I are beyond grateful for everything they did. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone in need of help.

My friend was here. I could tell that the staff was very kind and the facilities were very well taken care of, everything was great and I highly recommend this location.
