I am an alumni of Hoyleton, I was there from October of 88 until june of 1990, it was the best place for me at that time. I was in the Honor's home, and we were family, the staff was great, we learned a lot about life and how to prepare for adulthood. If I can rewind time, I wouldn't change a thing, I'm very greatful for the experience and I am still in contact with some of my brothers and sisters today Hoyleton will always have a place in my heart

I fell a few months ago and was taken to the ER by EMS. EMS was very compassionate even on an icy winter day. The ER doctor, Dr Baum, was great, as were the ER staff. I was admitted and that staff was great also. So thankful that in such a small town we have a hospital, even if it can only stabilize and transfer in some cases. We are blessed!

This is a great place to go if you need to go to take classes for a DUI and Substance abuse. It does cost a little bit of money but it is well worth it. The counselor was very nice to deal with. Gateway showed me the way to save my life! I'm going to talk about the app. I love it. I have had struggles with having a daily routine my whole life. This app is something I use daily. There have been days when I was struggling that I would just scroll through people's posts and comment on all of them. It would help me get out of my head . I absolutely loved going to the alumni event at Busch stadium. I love that I've got to reconnect with people that I've gone to inpatient with.

Queen of Peace gave me the tools to save myself from alcohol addiction. Overall, I found the staff to be dedicated, hardworking, and compassionate. It s scary admitting you need help with an addiction, especially when you realize you need inpatient treatment. I had a tough time adjusting at first (ended up with 8! roommates in 2 months) but the counselors, peer support staff, and BHTs were always understanding, and supportive. Having access to the beautiful chapel was a blessing as well. The outpatient program is just as helpful as inpatient. It s the perfect way to transition back to your new normal life.Regina Pacis, Ora Pro Nobis!

I love this place, because it helps me love myself. get to know myself. it's really a growing spot people can really grow here( spiritually , mentally and physically) when you're on drugs you know you stuck! now you lie to yourself and you don't even know it. you know they help me recognize my lies in me. the way you think backwards sometimes you know; I used to think they were good and I like them in the matter is that are not good for me and they never had been. it' s taken relationship my friends my kids . They teach me how to gain my dignity back my respect for me and others. how I can be balanced I'm learning not to drink from my lower self but my higher self as like what would your God. It's about being a better person that I was contagious for and keep that going and growing.

This location has come along way compared to the way it was before. I ve been coming here since 2022 and have had better progress and experience than I ve had with any other facility in my part of Illinois/St. Louis. Although the psychiatric program is horrible and the therapy program would be excellent if you weren t spending more time getting to know a new therapist every 6 months instead of working on your issues. (so when another job position opens up and pays more these therapist up and leave). For the most part I don t have anything bad to say about this place my doctor is Kevin Garner and he s the best primary care Provider that I ve ever had. He cares and if he can help me with anything he does are points me into the direction I m supposed to go. I recommend this place for anything from drug addiction to the flu are just getting your meds filled. Just go find a therapist or a psychiatrist somewhere else!!!

I can t thank the team enough and especially Dr.Throop. I was in and out of rehabs for years in my younger years and even told I would die by other counselors at said rehabs. This place was all about helping others get to the starting point in your life to see there is life out there without drugs if you want it that bad you can have it . Even though I left there and I relapsed 4 years ago that was my choice that I made because I wasn't ready then . Now I'm thriving ,sober ,have my kids back in my life ,and a new baby girl . This place made a big impact on my life that's why I'm writing this review 4 years later after I left. Some of the staffs inspiring stories and words is what got me to where I am today and I'm very thankful for that. Recovery will only work if u let it and it's hard work but yout have to put in the work to get in life you want to go . Don't give up . I would be lieing if I said recovery is easy but one day u will wake up and realize it gets easier u just got to.want it and put 100% in to get it

I entered harris house on january first this year... i didnt know what to expect when i entered. had some anxiety. i was there for 3 weeks, everyone was so compationate about my recovery i was impressed by that. i really like the fact that most all the counselors were former addicts themselves, and they knew what we were going through. ginny was my counselor and i met with her once a week. i have had alot of grief in my family. i lost 3 brothers. one at 22, the other at 37, and my other brother at 63. here at harris house, they gave me some tools to deal with my loss..i started drinking at age 18, until i got married at 30. i was sober for 14 years while married to my wife. well after we divorced i began drinking pretty much every day...well long story short, i had had enough of the damn alcohol and decided to get help. i just am so glad for harris house and how you all helped me...so thanks to you and your staff, i can get my life together sober. thank you so much and please keep helping others.. oh and by the way, the food is great as well...thank you.. signed jeff vance

JUST DO IT!!This facility was absolutely wonderful. Everything was nice and clean. Well maintained and all the amenities, included. It was never a problem to use the laundry room. Wash whatever needed to be washed you could take a shower whenever you felt necessary. Food and snacks galore. By the way, the food was pretty good, but they had movies games. You go to the gym every morning. Just everything you need to get in practice of living a healthy lifeAnd the staff is just amazing. If you have an open mind an open heart and you are ready and willing to change your life. These are the people that will help you do it it is not just a job to them them. They have lived it or lived with it in one fashion or another and they understand. they have compassion and empathy and they really want to see you succeed. The resources they have access to are amazing They will help you find a safe place to go if necessary after your treatment. there's just so much they will help you with but let me make it clear they will help you. They will not do it for you. You will have to do the leg work but they will help you. If it's out there they will help you or find someone who will help you get what you need. A lot of them spend their own time and money to make the experience More enjoyable and to take the edge off the seriousness sometimes. Far above and beyond what they have to do for sure. Just exceptional peopleI can say I did not have one bad experience. Some days I loved it. Some days I didn't want to be there but everyday I learned something whether I realized or not and sometimes it took a while to accept the truth but they were always there to talk to help to cheer you up. I laughed more than I have in years when you're in a room with people who have all been there, done that and you start telling stories. You just can't help but laugh sometimes the stupid things we do as addicts but you realize you're not alone and the past is the past tomorrow is a new day and it'll all be okay just take it one day at a time .There are so many people who made a difference in my life that I will never forget I can't possibly mention everyone by name but I would like to say thank you to all of you at Chestnut I would not be sitting here today with 3 months sober without you!I hope this helps someone Make the decision to better their selfBE WELL AND GOD BLESS!
