We were sent here from st.Joseph in st.Charles . I asked to go to mercy or Mo bap. They said it’s the only one that could help my wife with an abscess in her cheek, which I found out was a lie.From the moment we got here it’s been hell. We sat for hours in the waiting room while my wife’s fever increased and the IV they left in from the other hospital bleed all over her. Then once we got to the back they only put her in a chair and we sat for hours again. Finally they did a procedure we thought we would be going to a room because that’s what they told us. We got to hospital at 8 and it’s now almost 11pm and my wife had gotten no pain meds and nothing to eat or drink because she needed the procedure. So once the procedure was over they push her in the hallway and we think we’re waiting to go to a room but as the hours past we realize that as a lie too. So my wife just had her mouth cut open we are in the hallway with full lights , tones of noise ( the employees yelling playing around) not caring at all there are sick people trying to get rest . I had to put a shirt over my wife’s head so she could get some sleep. Then we got a RN who I asked if my wife could have some water told me where the drinking fountain was. When I asked for Kleenex she said to use tissue paper from the gross disgusting bathroom. To cap it off the RN cut my wife with scissors trying to get a bandage off . I had a heart attack the week before and asked for a chair that was not small and hard to sit in all night and next day but was told very rudely NO! So after neither of us getting no sleep my wife was so hungry and they told me I had to get her something to eat. We informed them she was vegetarian and they told us you get what you get and kept bringing her meat option only. To wrap this up the doctors were great but patient care lacks any caring and compassion from the workers!!! I would not let them take care of my pet!!!

Went to the ER for an eye injury and I was traveling from out of town. The ER was very quick to see me and Dr. Mendelsohn was caring and went out of his way to have me transferred to be seen by an ophthalmologist at another hospital to make sure it wasn’t something more severe. I appreciate the compassion and care I received from everyone on staff that night, nurses included!

This place is amazing period. I honestly don't believe any of the negative reviews, those are from people that do not have the ability to be pleased.The facilities are for helping people in need of the resources they supply and the resources are excellent. The staff is more than amazing every time I walk through the door!! I'd love to give them 10 stars!

For a company that is supposed to be very supportive of mental health, Chestnut created more trauma than support. I had surprised my dad with a visit with grandkids, and I did not realize that my mother Marcia would be home in a meeting with her group led by her supervisor Melissa H. I apologized for the intrusion; however, she wanted to show the grandkids to her boss and coworkers. This was supposed to be a “team bonding and building meeting”. The irritated and negative attitude that was shown towards my children will never be forgotten by myself, my kids, or mother. For a company that supports equality, mental health, and inclusion, they sure didn’t show it this day. Will never recommend someone seek support from them if this is who they put in charge of people caring for others.

I took my sobriety serious and the tools chestnut provided . I appreciate them I am now 5years going on 6 sober. I am also going to college for substance abuse counseling. They are good at what they do. You must be ready to change for them to be able to help you! Nothing but love for this facility!!!

The staff was amazing. The groups were amazing. The snacks thet had was such a variety. christie the 2nd shift nurse was wondering! I found it helped me so much. No one there was judge.

He told me it would be a week and it was 3months. This guy George is a drunken crook and his counterpart Shelly is a clown that does all his dirty work and biding. He’s low budget at best.

George will go above and beyond to help you with your DUI problems.George is someone who has been in your shoes and really care about his clients.Hats off to him and his staff.

Great counselors and staff. You have to put in the effort and want the recovery. Never give up because you are the only one that predicts your future of your sobriety. The greatest gift you can give to yourself.

My son went there. I hope he will stay sober n not go back on drugs. It took over a year to get him in.

After traveling 2 hrs away for a wrestling tournament, my son ended up in the ER here for a head injury/suturs. Staff were relaxed, attentive and made the process smooth and quick. Best care ever in an Emergency Room.

This hospital is truly exceptional. I had never been admitted to a hospital before, so I came in terrified and unsure of what to expect. From the moment I arrived, every part of the experience was made as comfortable as possible. While no one enjoys being in the hospital, I felt genuinely cared for by every nurse, doctor, PA, psychiatrist, and even the food staff. I arrived feeling like a complete mess and left feeling stable for the first time in a month. The food was great, too! If I ever have another emergency, this is absolutely where I’ll return. I just want all of you to know how deeply appreciated you are. Your work isn’t easy, but you truly heal and help people every day. Special shoutout to Nurses Noura, Bill, Chloe, Z, Erin, Eboni, Ciarra, and Chelsea. Also shoutout to Dr Burihan, Dr Borreggine, and the food staff Brittany and Christina. Thank you so much!

It has become my self space. I am very comfortable there. Happier there than in my hpme.

Very good place I went to it in person a few times for one thing that covered a lot of things and got it cleared up quick then went through a little bit of it on the phone and took care of some more issues really quick

My counselor or therapist is quite excellent, just wanted to make that be known.

I was here back in 2010; obviously grew up a lot since then, I enjoyed this more than school and remember it significantly, only wish that I could of been able to sit outside more.

I used to be depressed and suicidal, but now I'm only a little depressed and not suicidal at all. Tysm ilysm. And I hope you still have that picture of you. I'm crying rn if you actually respond. 🥰🥰🥰 I really want to go back even though I'm all better. If you have any suicidal thoughts go see a counselor, or go to mercy/ hospital but only if you don't feel safe at home. Don't make suicide into a joke. It's a serious thing. The trainings that you have offered via zoom have allowed our staff to attend more trainings which increases the services we provide

Dr. Shiue is an amazing physician, she was my son's pedestrian, I remember him getting sick and i would call and she would always see him I know she worked through lunch and stayed late as well. He was 21 and no longer technically her patient but had not seen an adult Phyician and was going to be over a week to get in, I called the office with my concerns, they spoke with her and she saw him through her lunch break, Dr. Shiue also called the adult Doctor and got him in the next day, turned out he had a really bad case of pneumonia. Dr. Shiue also gave me her private cell number to call her if I needed anything. She is totally an amazing person as well as a physician, she really cares about her patients and the parents as well, she has called me after hours to follow up on my son. It was very hard to move on to an adult physician. I can not say enough about the staff and her. My son is now grown and is expecting a little one of his own and of course Dr. Shiue will be her Doctor. I trusted her with my son and now my Granddaughter 100 %. Dr. Shiue is one in a million and can't say how happy I am she will be seeing my Granddaughter

Do NOT take your loved ones here. 32hrs in ER limbo after a voluntary commitment. Going on day 4 with my loved one in their psych ward. They are too drugged to remember speaking to the psychiatrist and even as signed partners in care, the docs are not communicating or working with us at all. Case manager was useless. This “care” is inhumane and unethical.

We were seen quickly last night. I had an adverse reaction to a medication. I can't say enough good things about the staff at this ER!! Gabrielle was friendly! Miranda, my nurse, was compassionate and kind! Dawn was wise and wonderful! Dr. Shankar even stopped in before we left to double check that we were in agreement with my treatment plan, moving forward. I was very impressed by him, also! They gave me excellent care! Great job, Mercy Hospital!
