The front desk staff is very professional understanding and friendly. These people really are there to help without any judgment. Believe me they have seen and heard it all so if you find yourself in a situation where you should see counseling do not hesitate to be open and honest with them. I went in with one attitude and came out a completely different person for the better. Big shout out to Kaitlyn and Jeff. My conditions are quite severe; as I say so myself. I have been in and out of psychiatrists and therapists since 1990 (age 3). Countless diagnoses, countless disappointments. I admit I can be a lot to handle, I push all buttons I can when I am having an episode.
However, this office and ALL of its staff (including the crisis line) is more than qualified and caring to help even the most severe cases.
Every time I’ve been in the office, spoken in person or on the phone, they show nothing but respect and empathy. Even in moments when a regular person would yell back, they stay calm. They even provide help in between visits! I’ve never had a facility that accepts state aid be so amazingly helpful.
32 years old and this office must have been sent from heaven; because in 24 years of being mentally ill, I have finally find doctors who genuinely want to see their patients get better.

I have been in mental health treatment for anxiety and depression since I was 9 years old but never really felt like I’d gained much from therapy and medication. Insurance requirements meant that at 38, I’d be covered if I went to the Center for both my providers (therapy & medication). I am seeing Jodi for medication and Abby for therapy, and both are really great. Jodi listened really well and helped me sort my thoughts because I didn't even know where to begin. She explained to me that I’ve been battling undiagnosed ADHD, and as she explained further, suddenly the last 30 years of my life made much more sense. Treating my ADHD is resolving depression and anxiety, eliminating the need for medications and improving my overall well-being. I can’t be more thankful for them. Abby is the first therapist I’ve gone to who actively helps me challenge myself. Too many therapists just sit and validate without providing much external feedback. Abby does both - she’s validating but honest. Thank you so much!

IF you genuinely want help and are going to put in the work this place is a good place with various resources to assist people in various aspects of their lives. They provide the tools needed to live a sober life but YOU have to want it. Someone stated in a review it's an "addicts market", and I will say there are people there who are not serious in treatment and/or might only be there because they are forced and they do use the place to make more connections unfortunately. But again if you want the help and are serious about treatment this facility can and will provide you the tools to succeed. No one but YOU can do the work though. They offer groups Monday - Saturday (Parenting on Thursdays) and the groups are very helpful and beneficial (in my experience). Most of the staff are very professional, supportive, and caring.

I've attended Linden Oaks Outpatient twice now for alcohol/substance use and mental health concerns. Both times the staff were beyond incredible and helpful in my journey in recovery. Although I was extremely hesitant and nervous to return he second time, feeling like a failure, the staff were absolutely welcoming, judgement free, and supportive. They went above and beyond to help me work through what was working, what wasn't, and made a strong effort to help me help myself even better this time around. I'm writing this after a bit of time leaving the PHP/IOP program and although I wouldn't say things are amazing, things are so much better than before and I am actively looking forward to the future. I remain active in the Linden Oaks Outpatient community through their ongoing addiction recovery services (O.A.R.S.) as well as the various support meetings hosted in the building (not directly affiliated however many familiar faces).
I'd like to give a special shoutout to Hope and Anneliese specifically for everything they have, and continue to do for me. If you happen to encounter either of these two individuals, know you are in great care from some of the most caring and supportive people I have ever met.

This was my first stay at any mental health facility at the age of 49. I suffered a sudden and unexpected loss and had an attempt which landed me in the ICU for 7 days. Following that I was transferred to Linden Oaks Naperville inpatient. The first day was terrifying and I spent most of it in my room. I just wanted to go home. The next day though and the remaining days, I came to experience the care and support that LO provides its patients every day. There is no judgement or neglect. They are extra quick with bringing you an ice ball or providing requested aromatherapy as well as model magic. I swear I must have gone through tens of those bc I loved them so much for fidgeting. Groups and therapy sessions were of utmost value, each one making me feel more sane and believing I could function again. The thing is though, you have to be willing to learn and be helped in order to gain any valuable skills from the sessions. I know I did and I left the unit feeling empowered and capable of facing reality.
Forever thankful patient.
